After reading all of Amy's kind words, Sophia sent back a series of emojis and entered the hotel in a considerably better mood.

Observing her from a parking lot close to the hotel, Vincent and Jimmy let out a sigh of relief when they finally saw Sophia enter the building.

"Vincent, do you want me to send someone to keep an eye on her?" Daniel offered, helpfully

Rubbing little Jimmy's soft hair, Vincent Xiao replied,

"Don't worry, my men will take care of that"

Hearing his reply, Daniel dropped the subject. He shrugged and said,

"Okay, then I'll take care of monitoring het progress on the set."

For the following few days, Sophia went to the set every day, determined to get another acting job But, unfortunately, by showing up without an agent, she was subjected to several sarcastic comments from agents and actors alike.

Shortly after failing another audition, Sophia walked dejectedly out of the Hotel Heyder. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, but her mood felt the exact opposite way.

She had just taken her phone out and was about to call a taxi, when suddenly a red flag sports car appeared in the parking lot of the hotel. Everyone's eyes were fixated on the car, curious to see who was driving it.

Sophia recognized the license plate number right away. The car belonged to her mortal enemy, Kylie.

To her knowledge, there were two auditions being held concurrently in Hotel Heyder One was for “A Dream In Her Previous Life”, and the other one was for “Dance of the Phoenix”. She knew that Kylie had already been chosen as the leading actress in “Dance of the Phoenix”. So, logically speaking, she had absolutely zero reason to come here today.

Sophia was right in the middle of figuring out the motive behind Kylie's presence when she noticed her walking towards her wearing a beautiful white dress, and with her perfectly styled hair.

"Sophia, are you here for an audition" Kylie asked Sophia purposefully.

Sophia glanced at Kylie coldly, deliberately ignoring her question.

Kylie had anticipated that Sophia would act like this, so she just smiled awkwardly and continued talking.

"I can understand your state of mind right now but I still want to warm you that you will never survive in the entertainment business. So, why don't you just go home, like a good girl, and apologize to our father? If you're lucky, maybe you can still be Miss Ye of the Ye clan."

Sophia lowered her eyes and smiled innocently, feigning Ignorance.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. I think you must be mistaking me for someone else."

"You know very well that I'm talking to the right person. Sophia Ye, listen to me carefully I'm informing you on behalf of my father. It's time to give up and move on. Our father has already taken great pains to find you a suitable man to marry. If you are sensible, you will just go back home and do as he says!"

Listening to Kylie's nonsense, Sophia couldn't even pretend to laugh anymore. She clenched her fists in anger and bitterness. What a disgrace that the people who were torturing her were her own family! Her sister! Well, her half- sister.

Her father, Aaron Ye, had had an affair with another woman who then gave birth to Kylie and Bill Ye. After Sophia's mother had passed away, the mistress finally got her chance to marry her father. It was easy to imagine how hard Sophia's life became after that.

Then, five years ago, while Sophia was pursuing her education abroad, she ended up losing her virginity because of one of Kylie's schemes. She even got pregnant because of this. But unfortunately, when the baby was born, an earthquake happened to strike.

In all the chaos, Sophia was separated from the baby and never went back to the Ye clan after that. The only reason that the Ye family had started thinking about her again was because they needed her to marry someone in order to consolidate a business partnership. She was just a pawn!

"I'm sorry. But the man you are talking about is YOUR father, not mine. He has no right to dictate my life, nor can he make any choices for me. I'm Sophia. I don't need anybody. And I am not part of the Ye family. So try to get that through your head!" Sophia shouted angrily.

Kylie frowned in disappointment as she looked at Sophia, who had turned to walk away. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, tears began streaming down her face. She grabbed onto Sophia's arm and tried to gently convince her.

"Sophia, listen to me. Quit the entertainment business. You can come home now. We all miss you so much."

Sophia rolled her eyes at the sudden change of Kylie's attitude. She knew what kind of tricks Kylie was capable of playing. It was likely that someone was now approaching or even standing right behind them, and she was putting on an act on purpose. After forcibly loosening Kylie's grip, Sophia said calmly,

"Miss Ye, that's YOUR home. Not mine. Thank you for your kindness."
