Ep - 4. You're Fired

Looking at the expression on Sophia's face, Alberta was speechless. She held her hand to her heaving chest, and shouted, "Sophia, you're a real disappointment! Other actresses have no problem cozying up to those investors. What's your problem? Look at you!"

Without emotion, Sophia said, "I already told you that I didn't like it."

"Oh?! You don't like it? If you don't like it, then don't get yourself involved in the entertainment industry. You weren't born a rich lady like Kylie, so just give up on trying to preserve your moral integrity-you can't be like them. If you want to get a role that will help your career, you have to sleep with those guys. Do you understand that?" Alberta responded mercilessly.

And how much do you actually earn for the company? And do you dare to even ask for more compensation? Are you out of your mind?" answered Alberta in disgust.

"Oh, okay. So do you think that because you said so, I'll just forget about it now? Sophia took the letter of termination and threw it in the trash. She then stood by the door, nodded her head towards it and said, "Now please get out of my house.

"Excuse me? 'Get out of your house?! Sophia, do I really need to remind you that this apartment belongs to the company? According to the company rules, you're the one that needs to get out... and in less than two days!" Alberta replied, incredulous.

She had to move out? Of course. That must have been the idea that Kylie gave to the boss after she slept with him. That woman took such immense pleasure in embarrassing Sophia.

"Fine, I'll move tomorrow. Now can you leave?"

The coldness in Sophia's piercing eyes sent a chill down Albert's spine. Knowing that Sophia was a strong-willed fighter, Alberta suddenly got the scary feeling that she would end up losing against her. She quickly walked out of Sophia's apartment, taking three long strides.

Before leaving, she added, "Don't forget to come to the company tomorrow morning to pick up your things."

Sophia shut the door on her and shouted, "My things? Why don't you just feed them to the dogs?!"

Leaning her back against the small apartment's door, Sophia laughed to herself and said, "Congratulations, Miss Sophia. You have been officially fired by the agency. From now on, you'll fight alone and achieve your goals alone!"

After allowing herself a few moments to wallow in her own misery, Sophia got up and began packing up her belongings.

She was a person who always did things quickly and efficiently. If she wasn't allowed to live here anymore, she would leave. It was not that big of a deal. She still had a few hundred dollars left in her wallet. First she needed to find a motel to stay in for a few days. After that, she would bury herself in the film and television center and start over with small acting roles.

If Kylie wanted to see Sophia break down and cry, then that would be the last thing on Earth she would do! Sophia was fierce and determined, and sooner or later she would become the most brilliant actress!

Meanwhile, parked on the street just outside of Sophia's apartment, was a black Maserati. Pointing at Sophia's apartment door, Daniel indicated to the two people sitting in the back seat, "Over there. That's where she lives."

Hearing that, little Jimmy suddenly became very excited. He quickly rolled down the car's window and peered outside. However, as soon as he looked, Jimmy frowned and asked his uncle, "Uncle Daniel, why is she carrying her suitcase with her? Is she going somewhere far away?"

Daniel's eyes followed Sophia, observing her carefully. Based on his experience, Sophia was most likely moving to somewhere else.
