THE AWAKENING

I looked around and everything was still even my best friend who was sitting besides me. i looked forward and I saw a man in a black robe looking at me, he wasn't frozen like the other, he was walking towards my direction. I panicked and screamed as i closed my hands in a fist and the light that was radiating in my hands seized and suddenly everything started moving again including the trunk which ended up hitting the little child

"Nooooo" both me and Lyla screamed in chorus as the trunk hit the child and everyone rushed towards the scene of the accident except me who was still in shook. I looked back to where I saw the man in the black robe,he wasn't there anymore and I couldn't find him in the crowd of people around.

'What just happened?, was that real or was it just because I was in shock?who was that? He looked like the person in my dream, am I going insane??' I thought to myself.

I suddenly heard a whispers in my ear

"your power is growing, you must learn to control it, before it consumes you" the voice was the same one I'd heard in my dream

I quickly turned around trying to look for where the voice was coming from when I suddenly felt a cold hands on my shoulder

"arrhhh" I screamed turning around to see Lyla worried face.

"what's wrong? are u okay?" Lyla asked with worry etched on her face

"I'm fine, the child is he okay?" I asked Lyla

"no idea but I don't think so" Lyla replied

Lyla and I stood there for a while still in shock until the sirens from the ambulance brought us back to reality. some paramedics from the ambulance came down and they rushed the child into the ambulance.

Lyla and I took our bikes and went back home. her house was Abit far from mine and was in the opposite direction from mine so we split up and went back to our various homes

"I'm back.." I said swinging the door open and making my way upstairs back to my room

there are 6 teenagers in the house and 1 child but yet the house always seems to be so quite, everyone stayed in their various rooms and go about their day minding their business. well all except 1

"Konnichiwa, okaeri Aurelia Chan" my big sis Lexie said. she is an anime lover so she thinks she knows japanese even tho she doesn't.

"how was school today, did you meet you prince charming today?? oh oh I know, your book fell and a handsome dreamy stranger helped you pick it up and you guys fell in love at first sight and kissed and lived happily ever after " Lexie said

did I forget to mention that Lexie is also a hopeless romantic,She always dreamed of finding her prince charming, of finding the love that would sweep her off her feet and fill her life with happiness.

"no and love doesn't work that way" I replied

"ohh but it does, you just have to believe in it"

"..says the girl who has had 16 breakups in 3 months " I teased

"well that's because they weren't the prince charming I was looking for" Lexie defended

I let out a giggle and made my way up the stairs.lexie always knew how to light up a room,her vivacious personality and infectious laugh always draws everyone to her side. she holds all the siblings together and finds a way to make us coexist in peace and harmony

"oh common,you can't tell me nothing fun and amazing happened today again" Lexie said while following me up the stairs

"well .....a child got hit by a truck today on my way home"

"I said something fun, not something depressing "Lexie said

"sorry sis, that's all I've got" I replied swinging my room door open. I shut the door behind me and collapsed into my bed, exhausted.

It may not look like it but Lexie is actually the oldest of all the siblings, her cute round plum face with almond eyes and cute bottom nose with her fair pale complexion makes her looks like a child, plus She always wore her long, blonde hair in a high ponytail, the silky waves cascading down her back. She always dressed in the latest fashion,her outfits always trendy, stylish and sexy with her signature red lipstick which gave her a sassy confident air. she has a curvaceous figure with an hourglass shape and a confident smile which always makes guys attracted to her and she ends up always falling for every guy that approaches her which is why she has gone through so many heartbreaks.

I lay on my bed, staring up at the purple ceiling. The walls were decorated with designs of space and the galaxy, a view I always found calming. With a sluggish roll, I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a shower. As I dried myself off, I looked in the mirror and brushed my wet brown hair away from my shoulders. My blue eyes looked back at me, framed by heart-shaped pink lips

I looked at myself in the mirror and tried to make sense of my dreams. A dark figure, a distant destiny, and now this strange power that seemed to emanate from my hands. I had so many questions, but no answers. I shook my head and sighed. Maybe a nap would help clear my head. I quickly put on my clothes and went back to my room.I lay down on my bed and closed my eyes, hoping for some peace and quiet.

I closed my eyes, ready to drift off to sleep. But just as I was starting to doze off, I heard a soft rustling sound in the corner of the room. I opened my eyes, and through my blurry vision, I saw the dark figure standing in the corner. I tried to scream, but no sound came out. I was frozen in fear, unable to move. The figure began to approach me, its dark cloak fluttering in the windless room

"who are you? what do u want? how did you get in here??"
