Chapter Three: Grace's Wrath

As the night wore on, Kevin and Grace remained vigilant in the dorm room, their conversation drifting between moments of lighthearted banter and solemn reflection. The dim light cast soft shadows across the room, creating an atmosphere of calm amidst the storm of uncertainty.

Suddenly, the tranquility was shattered by the sound of the door bursting open, Roger and Michael barreling into the room with panicked expressions on their faces.

"Kevin, are you alright?!" Roger shouted, his voice filled with concern as he rushed to his friend's side.

Before Kevin could respond, Grace sprang into action, her eyes flashing with determination. With a swift and precise movement, she delivered a powerful punch to both Roger and Michael's heads, sending them crashing to the floor in stunned silence.

The room fell silent once more, the only sound the ragged breaths of Roger and Michael as they lay sprawled on the ground, their expressions a mixture of shock and disbelief.

"Sorry about that," Grace said calmly, her tone betraying none of the fury that had fueled her actions. "But barging in like that is never acceptable, especially when someone is trying to rest."

Roger and Michael exchanged sheepish glances, their faces flushed with embarrassment as they slowly picked themselves up off the floor. They knew they had overstepped their bounds, and Grace's swift reprimand served as a stark reminder of the consequences of their actions.

"Sorry, Grace," Roger muttered, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "We were just worried about Kevin."

Grace's expression softened, her gaze shifting to Kevin, who sat quietly on the bed, a bemused smile playing on his lips. Despite the chaos unfolding around them, he couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the friends who cared for him so deeply.

"I'm fine, guys," Kevin reassured them, his voice calm and steady. "Just a little shaken up, that's all."

With the tension diffused, the group settled back into a semblance of normalcy, the earlier commotion fading into the background as they resumed their conversation. But beneath the surface, a newfound sense of camaraderie lingered, a silent acknowledgment of the bonds that united them in friendship.

As the night wore on and the hours slipped away, Kevin, Grace, Roger, and Michael found solace in each other's company, their laughter echoing through the dorm room walls long into the night.

And as the first light of dawn painted the sky in hues of gold and pink, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, bound by the unbreakable bonds of friendship.

After everyone left, Kevin glanced around the room, his eyes lingering on the reflection of the TV screen. To his surprise, there was no reflection staring back at him. He frowned, puzzled by the anomaly, but quickly dismissed it as nothing special.

Suddenly, his foot caught on a box left behind by Michael, sending him stumbling forward. With a muttered curse, Kevin rushed downstairs to return the box to its rightful owner, only to find the common area empty and devoid of any sign of his friends.

A sense of unease gnawed at him as he scanned the room, the sudden disappearance of Roger and Michael leaving him with more questions than answers. Had they left in a hurry? Or had something more sinister occurred?
