Confusing

"What should we do with her?" One of the men asked gesturing towards Tamara who was fast asleep on the couch, she was actively watching them a while ago and witnessed how William dealt with his assistant, before her head drool backwards. It was unclear if she saw everything that transpired and was pretending to be asleep or if she really was sleeping. William believed there is a connection with her and his accident and for that, he is not ready to let her go just yet. He would keep her captive for a few more days and watch what his associates do differently. Josh hadn't thought he would get found out so quickly, as someone close to him, he doesn't know much about a conspiracy which he was a part of. William was disappointed to find that Josh could betray him so easily and was even more disappointed to learn how much they were paying to have him killed.

"Did you drug her food?" he asked when he saw the girl peacefully sleeping. How was she so comfortable? Doesn't she know the kind of trouble she is in?

"No," was the swift reply of the one that brought the food.

"Get her blood, I need it tested,"

"Yes, boss,"

"In the meantime, take her to the house in Verdes and watch her until further instructions." he said before wheeling his chair away, there were too many things about his accident that made no sense. As soon as he got back home, his butler, Mr Smith was already waiting for him at the door.

"Welcome back Mr Price," he said smartly and took the wheelchair from the driver. Once inside. "The food is ready sir," Mr Smith said.

"I am not hungry, if you need me, I will be in the study,"

"Very well sir," he said and William began to wheel the chair towards the large door, but as soon as he got inside, the desktop phone began to ring. Lifting the receiver, the caller began to speak at once.

"Where have you been man? I can't get a hold of you" Said the caller.

"Who is this?" William asked, not recognizing the voice.

"Is this a joke? Because it is not funny, I came by the house a few times but your weren't there and your butler wouldn't tell me anything," William did not respond, his mind working hard to figure out who was calling and why they seemed so friendly. With a huge sigh he hung up. Few minutes later, there was a knock on the door before Mr Smith opened the door to announce his friend.

"You have a guest sir," he said.

"Send him in."

"What the hell man, why did you hang up on me?" his friend said as he walked into the office but stopped almost immediately when he noticed William was on a wheelchair. "What happened to you?" he asked in alarm.

"Nothing to concern yourself with," came William's reply, he was busy watching the CCTV footage of the event leading to his accident, before getting interrupted and he didn't even look up to acknowledge the arrival of his friend.

"So have you found her?" he asked after a long pause and because Daniel doesn't know how to stay quiet for too long. This time, William actually looked at him.

"Found who?" he asked when his friend wouldn't continue. Even though he couldn't remember.

"You know? The girl from that night? The one you are obsessed with finding."
