The mercenaries move at high speed, entering a forest, while Valentina stays still, until they reach a camp in the depths of the forest. The man carrying Valentina lowers and throws her to the ground. The girl just stays still. As they don't see her move, one of the men approaches and grabs her hair to make her raise her head, noticing that the albino stares at him fixedly, so he removes the gag.
"How beautiful, we should have some fun with her before killing her," the man speaks.
"Do what you want, the boss didn't say we had to take care of her virtue," replies the boss.
"So you're just a group of rapists, I thought a great organization had sent for me, but I see that you're just a poor group of men resentful of women," Valentina mocks.
The man, upon hearing that, doesn't hesitate to hit her in the face.
"Just because we're an important organization doesn't mean we don't know how to have fun with whores like you," he laughs.
Valentina spits blood after sitting up, but keeps her expression blank in the presence of those men. The boss, who is a little further away, stares at her intently. Any other woman would be screaming hysterically by now, but she is calm and doesn't look scared.
"Whore? Of course, that's how you call women to appear more macho. But you only make yourself look more ridiculous."
"Shut up, bitch." The man tries to hit her again, but this time, Valentina leans back and manages to kick the man in the face, taking the opportunity to stand up, although still with her hands tied.
"Easy, princess, whatever you do, you won't escape," warns the boss.
"Escape? Whoever said I'm thinking of escaping?" She tilts her head with a malicious smile. "First I'll kill you all."
The girl's laughter echoes in the silence of the forest. Another mercenary approaches to catch the girl, but she keeps one foot on the ground and turns, kicking the man in the face in a quick movement. Before he can get to his feet, she steps hard directly on his neck, a crack is heard. The others are surprised by the ease with which that small, thin girl knocked down that man twice her size.
The boss orders them to catch her and tie her feet, but Valentina runs into the forest. Being nighttime, she will have an advantage, and so she enjoys killing them one by one. The mercenaries enter the forest, so Valentina, managing to free her hands, takes the opportunity to have fun, catching the men one by one. One walks carefully, using a light gem to illuminate his path, but suddenly, his body is lifted and he feels the air being cut off. He already had a noose around his neck when he looks down, he sees the albino staring at him with those eyes that look like a sea of blood.
"Dying like this must be the worst, right? You feel the air running out, you struggle to take a breath, but nothing helps, you just feel life slipping away, while you beg someone to take you down, but, guess what? Nobody's coming for you..." A smile full of malice is seen on Valentina's lips.
And that smile is the last thing he sees, the girl turns off the gem and there, in the darkness, the man struggles to breathe, but every second that passes becomes eternal, until he takes his last breath. Hearing a noise, Valentina walks away, two men illuminate the area, seeing their partner hanging lifeless. Then they hear a noise accompanied by a laugh and they see something roll at their feet, when they illuminate they are horrified, it was the head of their boss, which shows an expression of terror, as if he had seen something horrible before he died. The pair of men decide to run, it is best to go to the camp and get out of that place.
But when they arrive, there is not a single horse, so they take their weapons and start running, hearing footsteps behind them, footsteps that are getting closer little by little, so they just run trying to get out of that dark forest. One of them falls upon receiving a couple of daggers in the back, so the other just goes in another direction, entering where there are more trees, so he won't be able to throw anything at him. Valentina runs through the trees, following that man, she does not intend to let anyone out alive, but suddenly she sees that he slips and disappears, so she stops in time, noticing that it was a cliff.
Valentina clicks her tongue and just as she turns around, the man pushes her towards the cliff.
"Die, bitch!"
Valentina loses her balance and slides down that place and although she tries to hold on to the branches that are seen, they break, letting her fall, at that moment she didn't have time to think, she just closed her eyes trying to concentrate her magic, but she feels something holding her and when she opens her eyes, she can see red eyes staring at her intently and bright blonde hair.
Maximilian had seen how the girl was pushed and he could well have let her fall, but something in him made him run quickly towards her and catch her. Now that he has her in his arms, a strange sensation runs through his body when he looks into the eyes of that girl.
Maximilian lowers her, so Valentina adjusts her dress as she watches the boy, for some reason he looks familiar to her. Valentina curtsies.
"I appreciate your help, without you I could not have survived. How can I repay your kindness?" she asks calmly.
Maximilian looks her up and down, the girl was cute, although not quite his type, she's small and her breasts are small.
"What if I say you must give me your virtue in gratitude?" he smiles mockingly.
"Then I would be no different from those pigs that kidnapped me and I will have to kill you."
Maximilian raises an eyebrow, in confusion at the young woman's words. After letting out a laugh, while Valentina can see red butterflies beginning to emerge and fly around both of them.
"I'm afraid I wouldn't make it out of this place alive." Maximilian raises his hand and a butterfly lands on his finger.
Valentina watches the butterflies move around, it was strange, as if that man were controlling them, only then, Valentina remembered and looked at him, he had blond hair, red eyes, and was attractive, with an aura of arrogance.
"By any chance, are you Prince Maximilian Chevalier de Trois Blanc?"
"So, the young lady knows me, although I don't remember her face or her name." Maximilian makes a sign and the butterflies disperse.
"Valentina Befort, from Asdefor, I am the adopted daughter of the king and queen." She curtsies.
It's true, it was time for Maximilian to arrive in Asdefor, just in time for the kingdom's anniversary party, so that's probably where he's headed.
"What a coincidence to meet the princess." There is a possibility that everything is planned.
"Why do you say it as if it were done on purpose?"
"Astute. Because the queen has insisted that I come to her daughter's birthday and I think I know her intentions."
"I'm afraid you're confusing me, the queen must have those intentions, but with her biological daughter, I'm just an adopted daughter." She brings her hands to her chest and feigns sadness.
Maximilian analyzes the blonde's expression and can tell that she's not being genuine, she's not even hurt. Perhaps being an adopted daughter, she has had to get used to her family's contempt and did not expect legitimate courtesy from others.
"Interesting." Thought the blond.
"So, I must assume that it is a coincidence..."
"It must be. I was on my way back to the kingdom, some bandits kidnapped me and I escaped from them, although in a careless moment, one pushed me." She purses her lips.
She swears that she will find that bastard and cut off the hands with which he dared to push her.
