Chapter 16 - "Past & Present"

After some time had passed their decorations for the day were finished. It's time for them to rest and continue tomorrow.

"I heard that your mother will be back tomorrow after going to Q City with your brother for treatment?" said Madelyn Gao to Charles Zhang sitting at garden table

"Yes, she will be very happy to hear that, she couldn't wait to find out that you had arrived here a week ago and wanted to go home immediately to meet you!" reply Charles Zhang to Madelyn Gao

"Alright then, see you both tomorrow!" said Victor Zhao to Charles Zhang and Madelyn Gao then leaving the mansion

After leaving, Victor Zhao then chased after Sharon Gu who had already walk infront of him a little faster.

"Miss Gu, today let me take you home, there is a place I think you should visit!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu chasing her from behind

"I think next time, I'm a little tired!" said Sharon Gu to Victor Zhao holding her purse

Victor Zhao then held Sharon Gu's hand and pulled her out of the mansion and get into the car.

"I think there is a place you should go to feel better after a hard day's work!" said Victor Zhao while driving to Sharon Gu

Sharon Gu didn't reply him and looked out the car window, she saw the wind blowing towards her, making her remember her past even more.

After arriving it turned out Victor Zhao took Sharon Gu to a place that looked like a lawn in the noon sky where the sun begin to set.

"What is this place?" ask Sharon Gu to Victor Zhao confused

"Don't you feel a little better being here?" ask Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu

"What do you mean by feeling better?" ask Sharon Gu to Victor Zhao confused

"Just let out all your feelings and thought of your heart here, this is the place I often visited when I was little to forget all bad things that happened to me!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu while looking at her

“When I was little, I used to come here after my parents argued,” Victor said, in his voice low.

“I’d sit here and scream at the wind, hoping it would carry my anger and sadness away. It helped, even if only for a little while.” said Victor Zhao looking at the scenery

"I accidentally observed you today, I saw that you seemed to be remembering the past that you wanted to forget, so I helped you to express the things that were weighing you down!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu looking at the sun that is setting

Without thinking, Sharon Gu then shed tears while screaming under the lawn with the sea below it and the setting sun.

After some time had passed Sharon Gu stopped crying and felt better. She then sat down on the lawn, Victor Zhao handed her his handkerchief to Sharon Gu.

"Thank you very much, I'm really owe you a lot!" said Sharon Gu to Victor Zhao wiped her tears

"I'm glad I could help you!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu while looking at the stars

As Sharon Gu looked at Victor Zhao, a quiet realization struck her. She had spent so much time building walls around herself, but here was someone who didn’t try to break them down he simply offered a door to step through. She was actually shocked because of how caring Victor Zhao was towards her, she couldn't imagine how a man as good as him could be betrayed by his ex-fiancée. Not only that, but she thought that the woman who left him must have lost a lot.

"I feel like there are times when it's good if you're feeling disappointed or sad or something that's bothering you, it's good to come here and let it all out!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu

"I didn't really think you to know such a peaceful place, I feel less burdened thanks to you!" said Sharon Gu looking at the sparkling shining sea by the moonlight

Victor Zhao then turned to look at Sharon Gu, Accidentally that the wind blowing towards them made he looks at Sharon Gu that looking very charming, as well as her shining eyes, because of the reflection of the shining moonlight.

"Is there something you want to say?" ask Sharon Gu looking at Victor Zhao eyes

"No... nothing, I just want to see the view!" said Victor Zhao to Sharon Gu blushed a little then looking at the moon

That night they both spent time together looking at the shining moon on the lawn with the sound of the sea and the gentle breeze.
