Chapter 4 - "Messy Dinner"

"Sob... sob... sob..., I shouldn't have come, I shouldn't have married Charles!" cried Sharon Gu while squating outside the mansion fishpond

"I understand that this is hard for someone like you, but everything will pass, trust me!" said Mary Lin handing her handkerchief for Sharon Gu

"Thank you so much, I don't know what I would do if there wasn't someone to help me like you!" said Sharon Gu to Mary Lin smiled while crying

"Sharon!" shouted Charles Zhang looking worried running towards her

"She's okay, I think it's best for you two not to come back here for the time being, until mother adapts and feels better!" said Mary Lin to Charles Zhang standing up

"Thank you, but we don't need your advice!" said Charles Zhang to Mary Lin then walked towards Sharon Gu

Mary Lin then walked into the mansion with a smiling face, while holding her handkerchief.

"Are you okay, I'm sorry, let's just go and come back again another time!" said Charles Zhang to Sharon Gu

After that, Sharon Gu and Charles Zhang returned to their residence.

"I didn't think mother would do something like this!" said Clara Fang to Judith Yang

"You see that woman seems to have planned something big, which will go smoothly for her!" said Judith Yang while eating an apple

"I think she just got one, you see her smile!" said Clara Fang while peeling apple

"What are you guys doing, did I miss something again?" ask Mary Lin who just came back from outside

"No, you came just in time, This is the apple I just cut, Eat it, and welcome back to this house!" said Clara Fang handing the apple to Mary Lin

"Thank you, it's been a long time since we gathered like this again!" said Mary Lin to them holding the apple

Clara Fang and Judith Yang pretend to like Mary Lin even though they really hate her because of her their plan almost failed.

3 days have passed. Charles Zhang and Sharon Gu lived in the house together with Lina Zhu who helped them a lot.

"Thank you very much Lina, without you, I don't know what we would do in this house!" said Charles Zhang to Lina Zhu while eating his breakfast

"It's not a big deal, I'm also grateful to you guys that I was able to get out of that horrible house, it's more fun to live here!" said Lina Zhu to them smiling

"Charles I got a letter from someone who seems to be from your family!" said Sharon Gu handing the letter to Charles Zhang

"We don't need to read it, just throw it away!" said Charles Zhang to Sharon Gu

"But this is written your mother wants to invite us to dinner, Is this your mother's handwriting?" ask Sharon Gu to Charles Zhang

"I don't think we need to go back to the person who rejected you before!" said Charles Zhang to Sharon Gu

"But I want to go, I feel like mother has started to try to accept me after that day!" said Sharon Gu to Charles Zhang with a smile

"If you say so then let's go!" said Charles Zhang to Sharon Gu

After that, that afternoon they went back to the Zhang family mansion.

"You have come back, it is so nice to see you again!" said Mary Lin to Sharon Gu waiting for her at the front entrance

"Sis Mary, thank you for your opinion that day!" said Sharon Gu to Mary Lin happily

"I think the two of them will act like in-laws in a mythical fairy tale!" said Clara Fang to Judith Yang while having an afternoon tea

"I think we look at them too much whether we should interfere in this?" ask Judith Yang to Clara Fang

"I think just leave it, eventually they will both be burned according to our plan!" said Clara Fang to Judith Yang smiling

"Our plan is moving slowly, but I can expect it!" said Clara Fang to Judith Yang smiled

Inside the mansion, Mary Lin took Sharon Gu around the house.

"It looks like it's mother's lunchtime, I have to cook porridge for her, do you want to come along?" ask Mary Lin to Sharon Gu

"Of course I would love to, I would like to thank him for inviting us!" said Sharon Gu smiling

After that they were in the kitchen and started cooking, Mary Lin let Sharon Gu cook all the dishes.

"I have to go pick Grace up from school first, so you just cook by yourself first, when you're done, take it and give it to mother!" said Mary Lin leaving in a rush

"Oh and remember not to make the porridge too salty because mother hates that!" said Mary Lin then leaving

"I think the saltiness around this is okay, not too salty and not bland, but there's something missing!" said Sharon Gu to herself

While cooking porridge, she felt that there was an ingredient like a carrot left behind when she tried to go ask a servant's, without realizing it, someone had mixed salt into the dish.

After she finished, she immediately took the food into the room and tried to give it to Sylvia Wang.
