Ch.3 - A new friend

“Good morning)” “Ahh!” I yell waking up by surprise. ‘I must’ve fallen asleep.’ “Sorry” a boy says standing next to my bench looking down on me, it was the boy that has the seat next to me. “Hello” I greet him. “I thought you wanted to know it’s already lunchtime” he says pointing at a clock on the wall.

“Oh yes thank you for waking me up” “I am Suzuki Taiki” he reach out to shake my hand.

“What do you think about we eat lunch together?” he asks.

“Yes, it would be nice, I don’t have any friends here” “Then let’s go!” he yells, pulling me up from my chair and drags me away towards the cafeteria. ‘How strong is he?’ It feels like l’m light as a feather flying after him.

When we arrive to the cafeteria I throw myself at a chair, exhausted after the short run. “Are you okay?” He asks. I nod reaching out a hand signaling him to help me up. He looks at me a second a bit confused. Then he starts laughting, pointing at me. “Sorry I didn’t think I was that fast” he reaches out a hand and helps me up. “Let’s line up, before the queue gets to long” he says pulling my hand again.

I take a tray and looks at all the delicious food. ‘What should I eat?’ I look at the food sinking down in my thoughts.

“I recommend the fish!” “Ahhh! You startled me!” I yelled in his face. “I’m sorry I’m sorry” he apologise.

Hump! I turn me head and stare at the fish. ‘It actually looks kind of yummy.’ I fill my plate with some fish and vegetables. “Let’s take a seat”

Sitting at one of the bigger tables. We eats our food. “Thanks for the food” I says band starts digging in the food. I takes a bit of the fish and starts to chewing it slowly. “So how was it?” Suzuki asks smiling. “Delicious” “I take it as a *it was good*”

“Yes it is really good. I have a question”

“Okay, go on, ask” he says and takes a new bite of his food.

“Are you Japanese? You woke my up and apologiesed in Japanese before.”

“I’m half Japanese and half Chinese, but I have lived in China my whole life.”

“Ohh, so that’s why you speak Japanese!”

We chatted for a while and ate our food. His name is Suzuki Taiki, and seems like a good friend.

Crash! I turn around and see someone have dropped a tray. “That scared the h*ll out of me!” I say to Taiki. He nods but doesn’t even have a reaction.

Boom! The biggest door flies up and a group of boys comes in.

“Hey, Taiki!” I whisper.

“Yes?”

“Who are they?” I asks pointing at the group. The boys takes a tray each and begins to walk past the queue to the food.

“You could say they are the bosses of the school, you know like in movies. They can do almost everything that want here” he says.

“Ohh so who are they?”

“That one to the right is Tanaka Ichiro and that one to the left is his twin brother Tanaka Chokichi and are in first grade of college.”

I look at them and I think the one to the left of the one in the middle is a bit familiar, in a closer look he looks very familiar.

“The one to the right of the one in the middle is Sasaki Arata he is in second grade of college”

I don’t answer him but look at the boys who are going towards us, I turn around and face Taiki.

“I think that are coming against us.” I whisper to Taiki and he grins.

“The one in the middle is Suzuki Kazuki, he the “leader” but I don’t know the fifth member. Maybe he is new?” He says.

Bang, five trays puts down at our table. I looks surprised but Taiki only laught at me.

“Maybe I forgot to tell you, actually Suzuki Kazuki is my older brother and we often eats lunch together.” I give him a angry look. ‘Looks like he likes to tease people.’

“Okay Taiki, you can’t be too mean to your new friend if you are maybe you will scare her away” Taikis brother says with the same teasing tone.

I looks down in the table blushing.

“Anyway, this is the newest member of our group. Kimura Yoshiro, from class C.2-3.” I twitch a bit, ‘did he say Yoshiro?!’ I look up looking at the fiths member.

“Hello, little sister” Yoshoro says.

This time Taiki is the one looking surprised.

“Little sister, you are siblings?” He points back and forth at me and Yoshiro.

“Kimura Yoshiro is your older brother?” I nods and our brothers and the other members of their group starts laughting at our surprised faces.
