Knox had to take a deep breath to calm his racing heart.
That woman was like a dream. She had beautiful curves that
he really wanted to see more of, yet she had something so
innocent about her that it made him think she could
definitely have a Little side.
He wasn’t a man who judged a book only by the cover,
but damn, that cover was perfect. It had been difficult not to
stare at her full breasts and solid legs. The image of his
hands cupping her breasts and the flesh still spilling out of
his palms practically had him drooling. Shit, when had he
become such a perv?
One of his employees walked up to him and snapped him
out of his thoughts of Addie.
“There’s a driver at the back door with a delivery,” he
said.
Knox nodded and headed to the back of the store to meet
with the delivery driver. He nodded to the man who was
standing at the back door of the shop, waiting to unload
crates of illegal guns. It was the same man who always
dropped off the arsenal that Knox and his brothers used for
their special jobs.
They always disposed of the guns that they used after
each job, so if for any reason they were ever questioned or
searched, the weapons that they used wouldn’t ever be
found. It was expensive to buy new weapons all the time,
but the people who hired them paid for whatever they
needed, so it didn’t come out of Knox’s pocket.
“Afternoon. I have a couple of crates for you. Everything
you asked for,” the man said with a heavy European accent.
“Great. Unload them over there,” Knox said, pointing to a
corner of the back room.
He would unbox everything later after the store was
closed and everyone had gone home for the day. All of his
employees were legit and had no idea about the illegal
weapons he had delivered to the store. They all just
assumed that it was another regular order since Knox was
the one and only person who unloaded all of the product,
whether legit or illegal.
As the man unloaded the boxes, Knox watched, but his
mind was on a certain beauty who had captured his
attention. He wanted to ask her a million questions to find
out what kind of trouble she was in so that he could go take
care of it for her instead of her having to learn how to use a
gun herself. He hated the idea of the sweet young woman
handling something so dangerous.
She was too precious for that. Instead, she should be
coddled, protected, adored, and even disciplined when
necessary. She shouldn’t ever have to worry about
protecting herself. That was his job.
Knox shook his head at those thoughts.
You fucking idiot, it’s not your job. She isn’t yours, and
she doesn’t belong to you.
Yeah, but what if she did? Could he keep the dark side of
him separate from the Daddy side? He had no clue if that
would be possible. And why was he even thinking about
that? It wasn’t as though she had come in and asked for a
date. She needed a gun. She could be married for all he
knew. Though it was doubtful since she wasn’t wearing a
ring, and any half-decent man would never allow his woman
to be in a position where she felt as though she needed a
firearm to keep her safe.
He had only spent half an hour with the woman, and he
was already a confused fucking mess. So much for having a
clear head after his morning workout. Pulling out his phone,
he found his brother Ash in his contacts and typed a text.
Knox: Can you reserve the VIP section of the range for
tomorrow at 10 AM for me?
Ash: You got it, brother. Want to get a drink tonight?
Knox: Fuck yes. 7 PM?
Ash: See you then.
Putting his phone back into his pocket, Knox nodded to
the delivery driver as he left out of the back door. Leaving
the secured crates in the back room, Knox headed back to
the front of the store to finish the working day before all of
his employees left, and he could take inventory of the new
firearms.
