Chapter 2

Kana's P.O.V

(What's this? I'm shaking? and it's hot...) Kana felt something hot and opened her eyes...As to her surprise her hands were tied...She was in a somewhat a cart full of batch tea and spices... (Where am I?! I'm supposed to be dead because the wood fell on me...) She tried to pull her hands out of the rope but failed.

“Miss it's not going to work...I was the one who tied it!” A young man said and bit his apple and looked at Kana mockingly.

“Who are you?! Are you a kidnapper?!” Kana said fiercely.

“Very aggressive despite that gentle face... I'm Ri Yûe, The sun and moon!” He introduced himself and walked closer to Kana...He looked closely at her face.

“I'm not a kidnapper...but maybe I could sell you to a brothel or something...”

Hearing that made Kana a bit uneasy and agitated (I guess if I don't want to lose my chastity...I have to act..wait, could I really trust them?) she gulped “Mister...Please don't...” Kana begged and began crying.

Ri Yûe saw her tears and began to panic “Hey! Hey! Don't cry! I was just joking!” He tried to wipe Kana's tears but she just continued crying. “Hey! Bingwen-ge! The girl's crying! help me!” As he yelled the cart stopped and the one controlling the carriage went down and climbed up the cart.

(Bingwen...? It's very familiar...) Kana thought.

He scratches his head and hits Ri Yûe “Did you scare her?!” Bingwen scolded him and went closer to Kana to wipe her tears “Miss, please don't cry...”

“Y-y-you won't sell me to a brothel?” Kana said sounding a bit pitiful.

Bingwen looked at Ri Yûe “You said that?!” Ri Yûe just ignored him...He looked back at Kana “Of course we won't...” He leaned closer and removed the tied rope.

(Pffft- If only Kang Xi and Seong Ji are easy to trick like this two...Wait...) Suddenly Kana realized something...But before she could ask she was interrupted by Ri Yûe.

“Bingwen-ge! you can't just untie her! what if she's a spy or an assassin?!” Ri Yûe said.

“What do you mean?” Bingwen asked a bit bewildered.

Ri Yûe facepalmed “Bingwen-ge can't you see? Her clothes are different from ours! what if she's a spy sent by the neighboring country?!”

“Hmmm...Your right...Her clothes looks rather suspicious...” Bingwen stopped and looked at Kana.

( *sigh I guess I'll have to lie...) Kana's eyes began to water again “I'm not a assassin nor a spy, I assure you that...You see we were traveling and some robbers knocked us out and stole all of my accessories and my clothes...And you see this is just my corset...so it's rather suspicious...” (Believe me!!!)

“You must be a noble then...So that's why your fluent...” Bingwen said, he turned his head to look at Ri Yûe “Eh? Where is he?”

(You're pretty fluent too...) “Mister...” Kana said in a low voice.

“Ah! please don't call me that!” He said and Kana tilted her head in confusion “You see... You're in a higher status than us...”

“So I'll call you by name?” She asked and Bingwen just nodded “If that's so..Call me by my name too.” Kana said and smiled, Bingwen was surprised.

“You're different from other noble...I guess...” Bingwen got a bit flustered and scratches the back of his head, averting his eyes “Then... What's your name?” He asked.

“Xia Yaxie.” Her eyes widened in shock (What the heck?! My name's Kana Li not Xia Yaxie)

“WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!” Ri Yûe who just came back after getting a piece of robe. “Bingwen-ge...We're going to get killed if someone heard her.” He whispered.

“Your name is...'that'?” Bingwen asked sounding somewhat nervous.

Kana nodded (Ehhhhh?! Hey! Why am I not in control of my body?! IT'S MY F***ING BODY!) Kana tried to go against herself. How funny may it seems she really tried.

“You shouldn't introduce yourself like that...Or you'll get killed...” Bingwen said (Xia Yaxie? It's illegal to use a royal surname...)

“Bingwen-ge! Are you listening?! She just called herself 'that'! This girl is crazy! Even though she's a noble, no one can go against the emperor nor the empress dowager!” Ri Yûe yells aggressively.

“Maybe she was named the same as the crown princess...” Bingwen explained.

The brothers got into an argument meanwhile Kana/‘Xia Yaxie’ was in pain and struggling.

Her head hurts and everything seems to be hazy...

“Hey are you okay?!”

“Bingwen-ge! What if it's just an act?!”

Xia Yaxie who was in pain fainted, And when she opened her eyes, she saw two people in a field full of flowers.

“Brother Rong!” The Xia Yaxie (who was in a form of a teenager) looked back and shouted.

“You better run or I'll catch you!” The young man said and ran after her, It was a scene of laughter and joy.

(This dream...again?) She thought to herself.

Just after that, the joyous and happy transitioned into a sad and gloomy one and it showed her and the young man.

“The one who is standing in front of me is the crown prince who shares his love with his concubines...and not the Brother Rong who only has me in his heart.....Seriously though, What did I expect?” Xia Yaxie tears up and slaps the young man, Xia Rong, “Do you love me? Do you trust me? Do you have faith in me? Did you really want me? Or did you just want our family's power?” She looked at Xia Rong with sadness, anger and at the same time disgust.
