Eᴘ - 12. Mᴀᴋɪɴɢ Cᴏᴍᴘʀᴏᴍɪsᴇs

Madeline had tried several approaches and shared them on various social media platforms.

The outcome was the same as before. The only feedback she received on her post was a couple of likes from marketing IDs.

Even though she tried hard, it was all for nothing.

She developed a headache and had to set the keyboard down before explaining the matter to her client and telling him she had made her best effort. Darian was not someone who could be taken lightly, and he was very challenging to deal with. She planned on eventually canceling this transaction.

The client replied to her message immediately, Saying that he understood and looked forward to working with her again.

Afterward, Madeline shut down her computer and watched the video in her phone, a pang of guilt washing over her.

She'd even spent money on cocktails to monitor Darian.

The next day, at noon.

Following her successful search for an apartment in Lynchell, she spent the whole morning packing up her belongings so that she could move there as soon as her little boy awoke from his sleep.

Suddenly, she was caught off guard by the

arrival of an unexpected guest.

Madeline thought she had heard it wrong when the doorbell rang.

She wasn't expecting anyone to come around at thus hour.

When the bell went off for the third time, she approached the door warily and peered through the peephole to see who was on the other side.

When she saw the man standing behind the

door, she was genuinely surprised.

Madeline:– "Why the heck would Julius be here?!"😾😾

What was he up to this time? Why did he come to see her again? Did he have any idea what she had done online?

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Julius:– "Open up. I know you're in there."❄️❄️❄️

It would seem that Julius's patience ran out as he started pounding on the door and yelling fiercely.

Madeline shook uncontrollably and took a few steps back while looking blankly at the door as if a terrifying creature was on the other side.

Julius:– "Madeline, if you don't open the door, you'll be sorry!"❄️❄️❄️💢

She squinted If she were to let him in, she would deeply regret her decision.

Julius:– "Open the door now. I have something important to discuss with you."❄️❄️❄️💢

After that, he pounded on the door a few more times in frustration.

She seemed to sense his rage via the uproar he created, so she dared not to open the door immediately.

Julius:– "Are you going to open it or not? I guess I'll have to head over to the property management office."❄️❄️❄️💢💢

Julius turned around with a stem expression and seemed to be leaving.

As Madeline contemplated the ramifications of his actions, she was forced to open the door for him

He stopped and whirled around to face her.

Madeline:– "Ha ha."😸😸

She greeted him with a wry grin and asked,

Madeline:– "What's up?"😺😺

Julius, who was carrying a file bag, entered the apartment without responding to her question.

Madeline:– "Hey! Why do you act so rudely all the time!!"💢‼️

Madeline grimaced + made another atten to stop him, but she was unsuccessful just as before.┐⁠(⁠ ⁠˘⁠_⁠˘⁠)⁠┌

Julius walked into living room and quickly looked around the cramped space. Then, with soap, he flung the file he was holding onto the table and sand. It contains some items.

Julius:– "I think you should give them a good look.."❄️❄️🙃

She was taken aback and assumed it was these photos again, she smiled.

Madeline:– "No, thank you. I'd rather not see them."🙂

Before she could say anything further, he pulled out un indictment and gave it to her. In a low tone, he said..

Julius:– "This is an indictment. As of today, I shall begin the formal process of filing a slander a lawsuit against you on behalf of the Glynn Group."❄️❄️❄️

Madeline:– "What?😦 Why?"😨

She grabbed the indictment and reviewed it with wide eyes. Suddenly she became agitated..

She forcibly regained her composure and stared at him.

Madeline:– "Why are you suing me fot slander?"😠‼️

Julius raised his eyebrows and asked,

Julius:– 🤨🤨"You made that post online, right? Do you want me to switch on your computer and point it out to you in person?"❄️❄️❄️

Madeline:– "It has nothing to do with me, and there's a big chance you made a mistake. I've also been keeping up with the news online. I am also quite upset now."

Madeline was slightly startled. Her eyes blinked rapidly, and she was aware of a sudden lump in her throat.

Julius:– "Are you sure about that?"😏❄️❄️ Julius smirked and turned around before pulling another document out of the file bag.

Julius:– "Check this out. It came from the most skilled hacker that I contracted for the job. Do you recognize the IP address of the post he has traced? Ironically, the IP address matches that of your computer."🥶🥶

Taking a deep breath and moving slowly, she took the document. She couldn't make heads or tails of the countless codes on it, but the fact that the last line had her IP address gave her cause for concern.

Julius:– "Is there anything you'd want to say now?"😏🥶🥶

He gave a sly smirk when he noticed she was

taken aback by the situation. She couldn't argue with him at this point.

She bowed her head and let out a resigned sigh.

Madeline:– "In truth, I had no intention of doing so. I was paid by someone to do it."😞

Julius:– "Do you need money that much?"❄️❄️🤨 he asked with an arched brow.

Once she realized he might drop the lawsuit, Madeline immediately nodded and exclaimed,

Madeline:– "Yes! I'm strapped for cash. Who would want to do something so terrible if it weren't the money?"🙂🙃

Julius:– "Understandable."☺️🥶🥶

He smiled broadly as he gave her a credit card and said,

Julius:– "Take this. From this point on, you belong to me."🥶

Madeline grew speechless when she heard that.
