Julius:– "Are you sure?" ❄️❄️

Julius let go of Madeline on

purpose. Madeline swayed back and forth as she lost her balance for a moment.

Madeline:– "I'm fine!"

She stretched out her hands to regain balance and stopped herself from falling down.

Julius cast a cautious glance over her shoulder and noticed that someone was coming. Without a word, he reached out and put his arm around her waist.

Madeline quickly formed a smile on her face and nodded at the person.

While Julius and this man were talking, she stood on tiptoe and whispered in his ear,

Madeline:– "I need to go to the bathroom."🌛

With a sidelong glance, he drew his arm back and said, Julius:– "Be careful."❄️❄️

Madeline:– (◕⁠‿⁠◕)"Okay... Please, excuse me for a moment. Take your time. I won't be long." With a smile, she nodded at the two men and walked steadily towards the bathroom in her high heels.

Julius gave her a glance before continuing his conversation with the man.

As Madeline walked away, the man stared at her receding figure and said,

Unknown:– "Is this the first time you've brought a date here? I don't think I've seen her here before."

Julius:– "Yes,"❄️❄️😑 replied Julius casually.

When she came back from the bathroom, Madeline was slightly surprised to find that the man Julius was talking to was not the same man she had left him with.

However, this man looked familiar. He looked like one of those big shots one would find on the cover of a finance and economics book.

As soon as Madeline walked up to Julius, the man handed her a glass of champagne with a big smile on his face.

Madeline:– "This is..." 😕Madeline looked at Julius, expecting him to do the introduction.

The man smiled and twirled the glass in his hand before introducing himself first, Unknown:– "Hello. I'm the general manager of the Perkins Group. It's nice to meet you."

Unknown:– "Nice to meet you too."🙂

Madeline didn't think it was necessary to introduce herself to him. She simply smiled politely and clinked glasses with him, before she took a sip. Then, she stood quietly next to Julius, emanating grace and sophistication.

She couldn't tell for sure if she was imagining it, but she thought she saw Julius stealing a few glances at her.

Frowning, she asked, Madeline:– "What's wrong?"

Julius shook his head slightly as he opened his mouth to say something, but the general manager interrupted him.

General manager:– "Mr. Glyn, I heard that your company is working on a big project. We would love to cooperate with you one of these days. Could you spare a moment, please?"

With a frown on his face, he almost refused, but Madeline stepped away from them.

Madeline:– "I'll leave you two to it. I'll have a look around."

Julius:– "Okay," ❄️❄️

Julius responded in a low voice, before he and the general manager walked away.

After standing there for a while, suddenly, Madeline's vision blurred and she felt dizzy.

When she reached out to support herself on the wall, someone walked up to her from behind and grabbed her by the waist.

Madeline:– "Juli..." ⁉️

Madeline thought it was Julius, but as

soon as she turned around, she realized that she had made a mistake.

Madeline:– "Who are you? Let go of me!"💢💢

The look of surprise on her face quickly turned into anger and she pulled herself away from the man.

Unknown:– "Are you the woman that came here with Julius?"~~

The man withdrew his hand casually and looked at her up and down with lustful eyes when he found her in a vulnerable state.

Unknown:– “Julius has never brought a woman to a party. There must be something special about you!"😼

His words displeased Madeline. The way he was eyeing her also made her uncomfortable.

Madeline:– "Fuck off!" 💢💢

In a fit of fury, Madeline raised her hand, as if to slap him, but the next moment, she felt as though all the strength from her body had been drained.

Before she could understand what was happening, the man grabbed her wrist.

Damn it! When was she drugged?

She would have to be incomprehensibly daft not to realize that she had been drugged.

Unknown:– "What's wrong? Give me a kiss! Let me see what Julius finds so special about you!"💨

When the man tried to force himself on her, Madeline gritted her teeth and kneed him in the stomach.

Unknown:– "Ouch...🤕 You're a feisty one, aren't you?" 😏

The man grunted in a low voice. Clutching at his stomach, he found Madeline more attractive now than he did earlier.

Madeline ran away as fast as she could even though she could barely see straight because of the dizziness.

She had to find Julius before the drug took effect completely!

She had not expected that she would feel so feeble and powerless. As soon as she turned into a corridor, she collapsed to the floor.

Madeline:– Oh no!😰😰

Madeline's heart started to pound when she heard footsteps approaching.

Just when it seemed like there was no hope for her, a man stood before her.

With his strong arms, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up into his warm embrace.

Before Madeline could react, a familiar voice entered her ears.

Madeline breathed a sigh of relief as it was the voice she had been desperately waiting to hear.

She put her arms around his waist, buried her

head in his arms and sighed,

Madeline:– "What can I say? It's very difficult to be your woman."🥴🥵😵

Not only did she have to fight off all the women who coveted Julius, she even had to fight off the sleazy men that wanted to be with her just to spite Julius.

It was understandably exhausting.

Julius:– "I left you for only a few minutes and you're already on the floor."❄️❄️❄️💢
