TRIGGER WARNING VIOLENCE ⚠️

(Eric pov)

"Watch out, J.J." I yell, trying to warn my friend of the grenade that just landed behind him. I ran to him, trying to save him, but I was too late.

My eyes widen as I see one of my best friends explode.

I just stood there for a while trying to process what just happened trying to process my friends death, but someone kept tugging me so I looked over to the person and it seems like he's trying to say something, but I couldn't hear anything except for this loud peep sound and some people screaming in pain.

But then, i felt something dripping on my shoes. I looked down to see my stomach had been shot multiple times. It's strange I couldn't feel a thing

I once again felt someone pulling me, but my legs wouldn't move they just couldn't. I looked to my side, seeing another grenade thrown right next to us. My eyes widen as I feel someone tackling me to the ground. I sit up, trying to regain my senses.

That's when i finally heard him. It was Adam. "Eric snap out of it we have to go." He said, shaking me like a crazy person.

I looked at him, nodding my head, agreeing to go with him. Just when I got up, my eyes felt very heavy, and all i needed was a bit of rest, then it all went black.

(Luna pov)

"We have a plan blue on our hands, a patient that is critically injured, and we need an open ER immediately!" The doctor said, giving cpr to the patient.

"Dr. White, get to that ER now." The doctor demands. "Of course Dr.Lee" I said while running to the ER.

When I entered the ER, the nurse immediately helped me put on my scrubs.

"This will be my 3rd ever surgery."

"I'm really nervous."

"I hope I don't mess this up."

I say to the nurse in a bit of panic

The nurse smiled at me and said, "Everything will be OK, Dr. White, just be calm and relax a bit."

I look at her then say, "Thank you, nurse Watkins, I really appreciate it."

*8 hours later*

"Finally, we're done." Dr Lee said, exhausted. "Well done Dr.White" "Thank you Dr.Cross ."

We all left the ER, and after another hour of helping patients, my shift was over, and I finally went home.

*At home*

"Luna, you're home." My best friend says from the kitchen.

"Hi K.C." I say very exhausted.

"I made us a very healthy dinner." She says happily.

"Oh, thank you, K.C, I'm very hungry."

After a while, we sat outside enjoying our dinner.

"How was your day?" She asked curiously

"Not bad had an 8 hour surgery today."

"What, that's amazing." She says, amazed.

"But you don't look so excited."

"I'm not. I only held the suction device the whole freaking time." I say, very disappointed.

Then I just heard her bursting out in laughter

"What's so funny?" I ask seriously

" You, you only held the suction thingy." she said, laughing hysterically.

"It's not funny, K.C." I say, rolling my eyes at my stupid friend.

"Ugh, but it is." She said, wiping her tears.

After that, we finished our dinner over a casual conversation.

Plan blue is a hospital code used when a patient is critically injured it also means that even the shortest delay or stop can be fatal. Even in the ER an evaluation could be fatal; "plan blue" was called out to alert the surgeon on call to immediately go to the ER entrance and take the patient for immediate surgery.
