In a small town, Amelia, a dedicated female office worker, reconnected with her childhood friend, Ryan, when they were 21. One evening, a spontaneous encounter led to an unexpected intimacy, blurring the lines of their friendship.

At the school reunion party organized by Amelia's male best friend, Alex, the atmosphere was vibrant with laughter, drinks, and introductions. As the night progressed, the group decided to play the eye - contact game. When the piece of paper with Amelia and Ryan's names on it emerged, they found themselves seated together for the eye contact challenge. However, their friends mischievously intervened, causing an accidental kiss that left everyone in awe.

Amelia, feeling flustered, sought refuge in another room with her girl best friend. Reflecting on the unexpected kiss, she admitted to her friend that she used to have feelings for Ryan but was now confused and wanted to focus on other aspects of her life. The party continued with revelry, and as the night wore on, the group grew increasingly intoxicated.

Amelia and Ryan, both under the influence, found themselves drawn to each other throughout the evening. As they bid their goodbyes, the drunken pair stumbled upon Ryan's house. In their inebriated state, Ryan welcomed Amelia inside, where the night took an unexpected turn as they shared a deep and passionate kiss, closing the door behind them.

As Amelia initiated the kiss and closed the door behind them, Ryan responded by turning off the lights, drawing the curtains, and locking the door. In the dimly lit room, they shared another passionate kiss before Ryan lifted Amelia up and carried her to the kitchen table.

Locked in a gaze, their eyes spoke volumes as they exchanged a series of stolen kisses. With each tender touch of their lips, they playfully counted, marking each kiss with whispered declarations. By the time they reached the third kiss, their inhibitions faded away in the heat of the moment, and they surrendered to their desires, unaware of the extent of their intoxication.

Waking up in an unfamiliar room, Amelia's head is pounded with the remnants of a hangover. As she hastily dressed herself, she approached the bed where Ryan lay peacefully asleep. The soft morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle glow upon his features, highlighting the beauty of his face.

Feeling a surge of panic and confusion, Amelia fled from the room without a second thought. Outside, she struggled to piece together the events of the previous night, her memories blurred by the haze of alcohol and emotion. Uncertain of her feelings and overwhelmed by the intensity of their encounter, Amelia grappled with her thoughts as she tried to make sense of the situation.

Chapter 3 :

- "Fate's Detour: Amelia and Ryan's Journey"

As the haze of the previous night gradually lifted, Amelia began to piece together fragments of memories. On the other hand, Ryan, waking up with a hangover, found his recollection of the night's events to be a complete blank. Oblivious to the shared intimacy, he proceeded with his daily routine and headed to the office.

Meanwhile, Amelia, wrestling with conflicting emotions, made the decision to keep her distance from Ryan, avoiding any direct contact. Despite their efforts to maintain separation, fate seemed to have a different plan, silently weaving their paths together in the intricate tapestry of life.

As Ryan navigated through his daily routine, he couldn't shake the lingering sense of confusion surrounding the scattered clothes in his house. Despite his attempts to reach out to Amelia, he was met with silence, leaving him perplexed and unsettled. With each unanswered call and futile attempt to trace her, Ryan's bewilderment grew, wondering why Amelia had vanished without a trace.

Unable to comprehend her sudden disappearance, Ryan found himself consumed by thoughts of their last encounter and the unanswered questions that lingered in his mind. As he searched for answers amidst the silence, he couldn't shake the feeling that their connection ran deeper than he had initially realized. Little did he know, their paths were destined to cross once more, unravelling the mysteries of their intertwined fate.
