Fate begins

"Hello I'm Veronica. How may I help you?" I asked the customer. There stood a 7 feet tall figure in a black jacket, slight curls in his hair, a silver bracelet tinkling in the dark cold night.

Is this really happening? I think love at first sight is never my thing, but this guy looked so ethereal. I'm lost for words, I stood there like a statue. "Hello Miss, one iced americano" his raspy voice broke your bubble of thought. You realised you were being delusional way too much. "Sir here is your drink, enjoy" you smiled at him. " Where's my bill? Miss Veronica!!!" He smiled lightly. "Uhhhh sir sorry for the inconvenience. Here's your bill" you panicked and blushed as his soft fingers swayed yours. He turned around and took his seat.

On a phone call:

Mom: Hello honey! Where are you?

Veronica: mum I'm at the cafe. I'll soon be back home.

Mom: Come back right now, your dad and I are getting divorce today. I'm leaving Texas.

Veronica: Okay mom I'll pack my things.

*Call ends*

Yes I'm Veronica. 19 years old, an undergraduate designing student. For the past 2 years I have been working in la vi en cafe as a part-timer. At night I design clothes and its models. My parents had a minor fight but due to my father who was interested in another woman and the same goes to my mom, they both decided to end things today and leave this place. And now I have to live here alone in my aunt's home. I sighed to myself thinking how hard my life is and reached my aunt's house after sending away my mom to the airport.

"Oh hello my honeyfluff!!!" Your aunt Ruby welcomed you with a warm hug. Your aunt sure is a sweet person.

You looked all gloomy thinking about your pathetic situation and that is when you noticed someone at the back door. " Hello Auntie, my mom asked me to give these pastries to you and your new nephew" Jack stood there with a cute little box in his hand.

You turned around looking at him with a shock overtaking you. You literally can't take eyes off him. "It's that americano guy" you smiled to yourself. "Thank you Jack" your aunt took the box as he left.

"Aunt who is he?" You asked her to take a bite of those sugar dusted pastries. "He's Jack, our neighbour's son. He's a good child. If you have any problems you can speak with him. He'll help you. I even joined you in his college , so you both can go to college together." Your aunt walked to the kitchen to prepare dinner. You carried your stuff to your cozy room and threw yourself on the soft bed of yours. "JACK!" You smiled to yourself.

Next morning:

"Sorry for the trouble, my aunt is a little worried about me." You mumbled as he gave you a cold look before starting his motor vehicle.

You both reached the college and he left you there unnoticed. You were confused by his act and felt annoyed at the same time. You hated the college as it was so unusual, people started to look at you with weird gazes. You walked towards your classroom and sat on your seat after introducing yourself in front of your classmates.

"Hi Veronica, sit with me." a girl with blue eyes offered me a seat. "hello I'm Susan, nice to meet you" she shook your hands as you felt relieved getting a new friend who's nice to you. You both exchanged smiles and the designing class started. You turned around and noticed Jack and a few boys sitting together. You smiled at him whereas his vision was down as he looked even more cold. You were wondering why he had such a drastic change in him and kept on thinking about him the whole time. Susan broke your bubble of thought and asked you to join her in the group activity session.

Everyone started to shout and laugh after seeing someone being bullied in the corridor of the block.

There stood a tall girl with a lip ring pulling someone's hair. The girl looked so arrogant and more of a college bully. You asked a guy why she's bullying her. He told you that she is Linda, the girl she's bullying proposed to Jack whom Linda has been pursuing for so long, he added that Linda goes to any extreme if it's related to Jack. There has always been a rumor that Linda and Jack had a past before and they had dated each other.

You left that chaotic place and walked towards the cafeteria. You noticed Jack and walked towards him. He was surrounded by some of his buddies as you interrupted him by saying "Hi Jack!" A moment of silence took place as those guys stared at you. "Who's she bro?" Kelvin asked Jack.

" I don't know who she is." He gave a cold gaze towards you.

You widened your eyes with anger as well as surprise. You can't take that behavior anymore. "I'm his girlfriend" you yelled and it's only been 2 seconds before you regretted what you said. Everyone around you started to look at you in shock. Jack held your wrist in a harsh way before pushing u away and he walked towards the exit of the cafeteria.

The news slowly spread to Linda as she became more and more furious at you.

She entered your classroom to fight with you but stepped back seeing Jack sitting beside you. "Let me take care of that bitch later" she left that place.

Evening 6.p.m:

"OMG what did I do today? I messed up everything. He will hate me for sure" you rolled yourself here and there on your bed.

You then thought of apologizing to him and making up to him with a handmade purse as a token of apology. you approached him as he was sitting alone in the park, "Jack I'm sorry for today, I shouldn't have spoken like that, I was quite upset with your behavior and messed up in front of your friends and everyone. Please take this purse and accept my apology" you handed him the purse.

"I don't accept gifts from anyone and you, you better know your place" He left.
