Chapter 4: The medallion's secret

Mark, Mark Gunfire." The man replied and took his mask off. "I can make you guys each a mask if you want, you might need it after todays event."He said. His tribal markings were on his face and moved down his neck, common for someone like him. Mark was tall with hair just as long as kiba's only darker. His medallion had a tiger insignia. When kiba saw the insignia on his medallion it clicked in his head. "I heard of you, you was in the war with my brothers." He said. Their villaged allowed kids to fight in war only at their will. "you're the preist sons aren't you? And you two are the medicine doctors kids. Dude I thought ya'll looked familiar. Your brothers were good men for 10 year olds." He said. '"so you knew them. " he asked. "Dude, they were my head commanders." He replied. Kiba kept sharpening his katana. "so whats up with these mask, what you need to make em?" he asked "I started wearing them in the war, all I need is some metal and I can make them." He replied. Mark was athletic built, his tribal marking resembled a tiger and when he took his gloves off you could see them on his hand. Kibas tribal markings only came down to his forarms, something different and unique was about mark, kiba just couldn't put a finger on it. The more kiba sharpened his katana, the hotter it got in the room so rio opened the windo."preparing for war there bud?" rio asked." Just to be on the safe side, you see how many soldiers is outside, I just don't wanna risk it." Kiba said then gave it one last swipe."Lets go find this metal you neeed so I can get on of those cool mask.: kiba added while jumping up and sheathing his katana. Mark looked at kibas medallions. "Master of the elements I see, how long did it take to master the wind my good man?" he asked "Ha ha, so you've noticed, only about 8 years." He replied with a grin, the wind was the second most hard elemenet to master, it took most masters 12 years to master at best. Mark looked at rya, then rio, then back to kiba. "Proverbs 3." The Imani are a real spiritual tribe and they test each other all the time. After saying that his medallion lit up and two more appeared, one wolf insignia and a wing insignia." Follow me, I know where to get the best metal for a low price." Mark said and started for the door. Rio closed the windowed and followed. Kiba was the last out thedoor, made sure it was locked so no one could get in. they went back through the market and outside the city walls. They found a blacksmith which was an ogre. The ogre was tall and fat, most are muscular, definitely not a war ogre. "three of your finest brands of metal please." Mark said,m, the ogre grunted."titanium is all I have. That will be 500 gems a pieve." Mark pulled out a hefty bag and emptied half of it. "thank you for your services good ogre." He said with a grin. "No, thank you, now I can buy my wife a new stove and jewelery." The ogre said. "To the woods we go." Mark said and ran off. Kiba, rio, and rya followed. When they stopped, they stopped by a river and a giant hawk landed infront of them. It looked at mark and said "what took you so long?" as if it was waiting for them. Marks medallion lit up and the hawk shot into it. Mark took the three pieces of titanium and started to make the mak, he burned it, reshaped it, and set them in the river to cool them off, added paint and it was done. Tossed one of each of them and started to grab fish out of the water bare handed."Dinner." he explained. They journied back to the hotel but on the way back the path was different, someone else came throught. Kiba pulled his katana out and got ready to fight. "do you swing first and ask questions last?" rya asked. "yes I do actually and it hasn't failed me yet." He replied. 'UGH, JUST LIKE A BOY.' She exclaimed. "Who's there?!" she asked and from out of the bushes came a foot solider, a scout that been following them. "he's been following us for a while, surprised you didn't notice.": mark said then pulled his hair back revealing his elf ears. He put his hair in a pontail only allowing his hangs to hang low and put on his mask. Kiba took that as a sign and did the same. What they saw next they didn't expect. A helicopter came from behind the trees dropping off five sets of soliders. The numbers was by tens each set so it took a while for all of them to get off, after that the helicopter disappeared. Rio and rya placed their mask on as well. Rio pulled his axe out and rya pulled out her bow and arrow. "Cover us." He told his sister. "and watch your back too. He added. Mark pulled out a broadsword and him, kiba, and rio charged at the soldiers. Rya's arrows were fierce hit after hit. She took enough soldiers down for it to be a fair fight by the time kiba, rio, and mark got over to the soldiers. Mark swung his blade and a gust of wind threw two soldier into a tree and on into a boulder. Rio folloed up and diced them and kiba slashed away at will. When it cam down to only the scout left they tied him down. "who sent you, and why are you following us?" mark asked putting away his blade and reaching for his gun. Rya gathered up as much arrows that was still usable as possible. "general lao sent me. He noticed you were from the Imani village and had me follow you, that was all my order I swear." The scout pleaded. You could tell he was fresh from training, he barely put up a fight. "let him go.: mark said. "But where is the rest of our village behing heald." He added. "In Bongshay." He said then ran off into the forest. "so we know where we need to head."kiba said taking off his mask. "lets goto the hotel and cook this food. I'm stavin."riso said with a laugh." We get out a battle and the vamp is already thinking about food." Kiba said as a joke." Yea wolfboy, I haven't ate since this mornin." Rio said with a smile so big you could see his fangs from under his hat. Kiba stopped his laugh short, his werewolf senses were kicking in. there's evil in this forest, I can smell it." He said with disgust. You could tell in his face it was close, it looked like his face had a combination of rage and constipation. The closer it got the more of a wolf he looked like. "it's  too close and huge at that." He said throwing his mask back on. He turned around pulled his katana out and started praying in toungs. It was rare he did that so riotook it very serious. When a werewolf prays in tounges you pay close attention to whats going on around you. Kibas prayers got louder as it got closer. Then all of a sudden he stopped praying and five figures came from out of the shadows of trees. A visible black aura came off of their bodies so thick it formed clouds in the sky. "who are you!" kiba growled hunched over, his tail began to grow out. Mark took his mask off. "so it is true, leave these kids alone! Your battle is with me." He said then put his mask back on. "with a stench like that it's with me too, I've never smelled such a strong evil." Kiba said in full wolf form now, he was twice his regular height. His fire medallion lit up and Ozaku came out. He jumped on ozaku's back and gave another growl."Who the hell are you?" "we are one." They said in unison."ok,creepy much.' Rya said readying her bow. "join us. Become one of us." They said and pointed to kiba. One figure started to walk forward and pulled a sword out."Ahwoo!"  it howled."I wouldn't join a mut like that in 10 years."kiba said. "too bad, you have, what do they say? Potential." The figure said and transformed into wolf form."What tribe are you from? You reak of innocent blood!" kiba shouted as the son of a head preist he hated that smell, and as a werewolfhe could hear the screams of women and children."young vampires." Three of them said in unison. Then it struck rio, the smell of innocent blood, a smell he wished his younger sister never would have to smell. "Rya cover your nose now!" it was too late, she caught a wiff. The smell reminded rio of how he was before he met kiba and got in training for being a presit.
