Damien's Pov

I woke up to my annoying alarm clock, I tried to reach it without opening my eyes, but I ended up pushing it over.

I did my skincare routine and picked an outfit for the day. I was feeling a bit more feminine today, so I gravitated towards a white skirt and a blue sweater.

At school

I got to school early, so I went to Angelica and Hailey's room to pass time.

I knocked on the door once and waltzed in unannounced.

"Heyy!!" I yelled as I popped my head in first.

Angelica flipped her hair back as she turned to look at me.

She smiled at me and I walked in. Hailey got out of the bathroom with a hairbrush in hand, tugging furiously at her ends.

Her eyes landed on me and I waved at her as I pulled the chair out of the desk in the corner.

I sat down and her eyes were fixed on me, I turned my head to look back to see if there was anyone there. Wait was she ... looking at me?.

I looked my self up and down evaluating if there was anything wrong with the way I looked.

Angelica snapped her out of her daze with a literal click of her fingers.

Hailey turned her head left and right rapidly, she looked at me and smiled. " Sorry, it's just this is the first time I-..we've ever seen you in a skirt... so it's.., suprising".

I sighed relieved. "So nothing wrong ?" she shook her head as she plopped on her bed.

we talked for a few minutes about how i was planning on joining the arts department.

"Ooh, what are the chances you'll get a room with Jamie. That'd be great so that we'd all just be together" Angelica said, as if I could choose which room I get, I'll probably get some random room with no one.

At the year office

I walked into the year office, slowly as if even the smallest noise could cut my chances in half.

" Well hello there" a black bobbed lady said in an English accent.

"Hi" i said as I shyly waved.

She walked up to me and put her fists on her hips while giving me the biggest smile I'd ever seen.

"Well what are you doing here love?" she asked.

I walked into the room fully and closed the door behind me.

"Uh, well I was wondering how to join the art department..... If i was interested"

she frowned while remaining eye contact.

"Ah, well lovely we usually have all the dorms sorted at the beginning of the year. So we might not be able to fit you in" we both frowned.

" But you still can join" she said as she sat down and brought out some form looking file paper.

"Just tell me what you got"

Wait a minute why did I have. i stumbled my way to the front of her desk, my head low so that i couldn't see her smiling eyes get dimmer.

"Or you could show me?" she asked in a softer voice.

She walked over closer to me and cleared her throat.

"do you sing?" I shook my head looking at her.

" do you want to give acting a shot?" I shook my head again.

She went on and on about a list that i had no real interest in and I was starting to believe that i just wouldn't get in.

"Any interest in drawing perhaps?" she asked looking tired.

Finally, something I could try. I nodded my head vigorously in response and her smile went right back up her face.

She went back to her desk and started looking over some files. Let's just say this smile didn't last too long.

She walked back over to me. "Here's the thing love, we are currently getting ready for another competition" I frowned.

"Well this has never happened before" she said with a shrug of her shoulders.

"But if you can submit some really good cover art for our school's version of the Romeo and Juliet remake, then we will, DEFINITELY, guarantee you a dorm room next term" I nodded and smiled as she handed me a big copy of the play. She told me I had till three days before the play to get it all done.

I left and immediately ran towards Angelica and Hailey's room to spill the tea. I opened the door and found them playing a game of rock, paper, scissors.

I ran up and hugged Hailey. " I did it!" I yelled.

Hailey hugged back and Angelica joined in too, but something felt off.

"Hey where's Jamie" I asked.

Angelica and Hailey let go off me and looked at each other.

"He's sick!" Angelica blurted out.

I nodded slowly while putting my hands out in defense and I gave them the magical tale of how I'd have to work my butt off till a week before Christmas break.

One week later

Jamie's POV

I woke up the next Monday feeling awful. my room was a like the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, my head was hurting so bad and I was snuggled next to Damien's sketchbook.

I had a cold shower and let the cold water run over my head for a few minutes.

I got dressed and checked the time. it'd be lunch by now, so they'd probably all be in the cafeteria.

At the cafeteria

I walked in and looked for the lunch table me and Angelica had been guarding since freshman year.

Hailey wore her go to outfit, Angelica wore a plane white dress, but Damien looked so hot. He was wearing a white button down shirt, a blue skirt that exposed his juicy chocolate thighs with a blue open cardigan.

Angelica's eyes met mine and she smirked, is this a good time to try out mom's advice.

I walked behind him and put my hand over his eyes.

"I'm back~" I said slowly as I let myself into view.

he smacked my arm playfully as I sat next to him.

While he was talking I looked at his hand and interlocked our fingers. At first, he flinched but after a while he relaxed and we held hands for most of the day.
