At the arts department's practice block

Damien's POV

I walked side by side with Angelica, Jamie being slightly behind.

I was in awe as I saw how big the building was on the outside, it looked like a real movie studio.

Who ever Casper was he was sure into the arts.

as we stepped in Angelica grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. "Okay, I have to get into costume for the practice run, Jamie has some things to get in check before everything starts, but in the meantime, you can stay with Hailey!!" Angelica said in one breath snapping me back to my thoughts.

I looked down to see a confused short haired brunette, her hair scruffily held back, wearing a yellow baggy yet cropped hoodie, all tied together with some red jeans.

She looked very out of place and slightly embarrassed with her face being a slit tint of red.

Angelica and Jamie left and it was me and Hailey left.

both of us awkwardly spent some time avoiding eye contact. "Umm....... sooo ... I'm more of a songwriter here, so you wanna come to my office or, workroom? or...." she said and questioned at the same time.

"You guys get, OFFICES!?!!??". My jaw dropped. I needed to find a way to get

in here.

she laughed and nodded, she gestured for me to follow her and I did. We got to a small room with just enough space for 3 people, a desk with papers all over it in a very chaotic way, a couch and some shelves and cupboards.

as Hailey went on about her job I silently looked around the messy room. " Hey, where do i sign up for this" I asked enthusiastically as she tried to reach some shelves for some more paper.

She turned her head to look at him and her expression went as cold as the sweat she had on her forehead.

"Well your new, so you should have a flyer." I hadn't thought about the flyer till now but i knew I wouldn't get it back. Last night, my brother went under my bed, grabbed something and made a run for it, 3 minutes later I heard the toilet flushing and my mom yelling, and let's just say she said paper ALOT.

" Anyway without it ?" I winced at the memory.

She frowned and her expression neutralized again. " Well there is the way but no one does it."

"What is it?"

"Well it's like an interview, you have to like tell them why your the best one for the job or part or part player?" I hummed in response.

For the next few minutes I sat next to her and watched her work. I was humming the tunes to the songs she was writing until my eyes landed on her neck. I hadn't noticed it before because it blended into her skin colour so perfectly, but she was wearing a collar, an MP collar (mating protection).

She noticed I was staring and adjusted her hoodie, I decided to change the subject. "So how'd you meet Jamie and Angelica".

"Well me and Angelica's moms are both really good friends, so we're just really good friends" she laughed. "And for Jamie, Angelica was already friends with him, so it just, well happened ?" . She said as she stopped her unconscious, rhythmical hand gestures.

We both stood in place and smiled for some time in comfortable silence. She sighed and went back to her desk to work.

I let out a dramatic sigh and plopped myself onto the couch. My eyes wandered around until they landed on my backpack which I hadn't noticed till now. I opened it up and took out my sketchbook. I doodled along as I tried making small talk with Hailey.

I picked up a pencil deciding on what to draw. "So how does being a songwriter go?" I asked tying to get her to turn around, so I could get a glimpse of her face.

"Well, you get assumed to a singer or actor who you get to write songs for, and then you spend a bazillion hours of your life making as many songs as you can only to have 5 performed and 1 picked for the actual show, not to mention if your work partner has more than 1! Song for the show!!" she said in one go, she started breathing rapidly as she tried to compose herself.

"So...., you work with Angelica perhaps?"

"Look, I'm happy for her and all, but sometimes work and her just stress me out" she said as if almost feeling threatened.

"I just said that cuz I thought you guys had a lot in common" I smiled content with the expressions I was able to get out of her. she huffed and glared at me sensing the laugh I was trying to have at her.

I was finally done with the chibi Hailey I had drawn.

" Hey I made you something" I flipped the book, so she could see it and he eyes went wide. " I look so cute!!" I laughed at her childish reactions.

me and Hailey (well Hailey) kept saying how good it was until, the door swung open to reveal Angelica and Jamie. Angelica walked over to give Hailey a hug." I see you've met my amazing roommate" she said looking lovingly into her eyes, this makes me happy.

I smiled at the two of them when Suddenly Jamie held my hand. He got closer and whispered right next to my ear. " I'm sorry"
