In the nursery

Ruby was a not new to parenthood and she expertly started to feed the baby. After not being able to hold her baby for a week her mother hood was crying for her child.

She noted that her daughter was not crying like her other children rather her little daughter seemed a bit mature . What she didn't know that the soul that is in the body of one week old baby is of 24 years old.

(Fl: of course I am not like other children because I am a 24 freaking years old)

After being fed *baby* thought if I am here then what happened to the og baby's soul did she die or worse vanished.... Sigh**

"I feel bad now for the baby and pray that the next time she is born she will have a happy life "

"Oh my darling little girl are u full now " Ruby asked despite knowing that the baby won't reply back

"Let's get you settled". Ruby layed Fl on a crib which was decorated with soft printed flowers on the pillows .

By looking at her surroundings she noted that it was made with so much love and care for just a single person.

She didn't know if she should be grateful or feel guilty for stealing from the og baby.

She shooked herself from the self pity and thought "I died for a reason and was born here in this body for a reason, I don't need to dwell on other things"

Looking at the strange behaviors of her baby , Ruby was confused and was fearful that is these are the side effects of removing a soul crushing curse and if it is then she need to take better care of her daughter. Ruby considered her choices about calling her brother and ask for his help. "Maybe I should write a letter to him and maybe he can train and help her... Yes I will talk to Alex about it at eve" She decided .

By seeing her mother smile in such a way she felt shivers down her spine. "Something is going to happen but I don't know if it would be good or bad

 "During Dinner"

As soon as sun started to set the dinner was rolled out in the dinning hall. There were each and every kind of dishes were there . From appetizer to dessert. Each and every thing were laid out. It looked like there is a mini feast is being conducted. But for Alex it was something that he has not been able to get adjusted. Born from an average middle class family his family always had food on the table but it was still a far cry from the things he is seeing. It always surprised him.

Even if he is now one of the most important aristocrats of the nation still he started out his career and status from being recruted as a guard in the palace . During the training he met Arther aka the consort -prince of the present queen of the nation his wife's twin Saffire .

Yes you guessed it right both the twin were named after jewels just because of the difference in eye color. His wife Ruby who also partly manages the nation to give her twin a break has blood red twinkling pupils while the queen as her name suggest has cold icy blue pupils which also matches her personality. She is as fragile as a ice crystal. She always reminded him of the old queen.

During his young days he had seen the old queen afee times. He was recruited at the age of 11 even if the entry age was 15 or more. The old king and queen allowed him to take the test in which he passed and became the youngest guard to be appointed and within few months he owned the title of supervisor guard by defeating the treacherous old guard who was laundring the people's money.

Suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulder that waked him up from his thoughts. When he looked at the culprit he found his old friend Arther grinning from ear to ear and said" Still not used to the lavished meal even after all these years "

In reply "obviously not, who would be, I was just remembering the good ol days "

"Ahh the good ol days where you asked for flirting lines just to impress lady Ruby. "

At reminder his ear tips turned red and laughed

"Or those ol days where a group of younger recruits thought to prank their captain which now became a nessary ritual for the new boys"

 .

By remembering those days it made his heart swell with happiness.

Yes those old days which have become such great memories said Alex .

Arther nodding his head in agreement asked Alex to join him for the dinner with everyone.

Alex went to nursery to call his wife but saw such a beautiful bonding of mother and daughter. His daughter who is holding his wife's hand that she is not even letting those fingers move.

"Let them rest I will call her later for dinner" and Alex went back to hall. When he reached there he asked a servant to make seperate plate and keep it aside for Ruby .

By hearing this the maid smiled, while making a seperate plate she thought that with return of the princess there is blooming of love and happiness in every corner of the palace.
