CHAPTER 15

Auro blocked me from reaching her consciousness.

She was clearly upset.

"Auro please, can I talk to you" I asked mentally?

Silence

“please” I repeated.

Silence.

I kept looking for her, but didn't find anything.

She was gone.

Without leaving me any sign of where she actually was.

There is only a single way to get to her now and that's by teleporting to her.

But I can't do that technique yet, and she will probably be back soon, I hope.

"Tom, when do we have our next session? " Lilia asked.

"Let's do it right now" I said.

A day has passed

No sign of Auro yet, I think she's doing something important, or she's still mad at me.

Today I will use that teleportation technique, I have to learn it if I want to find Auro, my mother asked me about Auro but I didn't know how to answer, so I just had to change the subject.

A week has passed

No sign of Auro yet, She was really mad, to this extent.

"Tom, we are going out, aren't you going with us?" Mom asked.

"Surely I am going to" I answered.

Mom, Tabitha, Lilia, Ellie and I were going out, Mom a and Tabitha were chatting about stuff.

While Ellie and Lilia and I were walking behind them.

"I challenge you to eat 20 pizzas, Tom?" Lilia said.

"What's my prize?" I asked." Lilia said.

" You can choose, if you did it" Lilia said. Q

"Big border, wat is a caleng?" Ellie asked.

"What?" I said.

The day was over pretty quick, and Auro isn't back yet.

I was heading to sleep, then Auro finally spoke with me again, mentally :

"Okay Tom it's not like I'm mad or something, it's just that I have something to do, I can't really say much, I would be back when I'm done, make sure to get stronger while I'm not there with you, and take care of yourself, by the way, I think you're close to master teleportation at this point, just don't come over here, when you do, You're not supposed to follow me, okay? Stay strong." Auro finally said.

"Are you just going to leave me like this ? " I asked.

But to my surprise, she didn't say anything at all.

Silence.

She's gone again.

Well, with this said, I hope she's fine, doing whatever she has to.

If I can't really be there, then it has to be something important, that I won't certainly help much at.

Days flew by, and I was doing mostly nothing, but training of course.

I really wanted to master teleportation at its peak.

And improving of course my already good elemental manipulation.

I was also helping Lilia to awaken.

I also went outside with Mom and Tabitha when I was able to.

And to my surprise father wanted me helping him in training the guards.

He said I will pull up a good fight against them.

But he didn't expect me beating them with ease.

I really felt sorry for the guards because they have been beaten up by some 7 years old.

And Mr. Vincent feeling that his mansion isn't really secured after all.

One of the guards literally asked for my advice in hand-to-hand combat.

"Now that's my son" said my father and looked proud.

While, my mother was furious for him exposing me to danger.

Vincent, on the other hand, was quite impressed and alarmed.

"If it wasn't for you, Tom, I would be freaked out that my guards had been beaten up by some kid, you know ?" Vincent said.

2 years later

2 years without Auro contacting me.

She is still not done yet, or something happened to her, which, I hope, isn't the case.

Lilia has awakened already in the past week, her parents were very proud of her.

And we had agreed to keep our secret hidden, Arthur is supposed to reach anytime now.

And I was finally able to use teleportation, it took a lot of my mana reserves, and I can barely transport myself a few times, but I think I will get better at this soon.

I could also tap in to the silver stage, so I think I'm supposedly capable of beating a low-level retainer now.

I do really wonder how much time would it even take Auro to come back, I am truly missing her.

"No sign of Auro" Asked Mom.

“Nothing yet” I answered.

"Don't worry about it son, she would be back as soon as she's done, she will be fine, wherever she is" Mom said, trying to calm me down.

"Now how about you go out with Lilia to give your father his lunch?" Mom asked me.

"Sure, how about Ellie accompanying us" I said.

"it's better for her to stay here with me, and don't be late " Mom said.

"of course Mom, I won't be late " I said while leaving.

"Lilia, mind if we go out for a walk and give this lunch to father" I asked.

"I don't, and it would be a good opportunity for me to stretch a little bit, my father kept me busy with all of these books, and he kept buying me numerous mana crystals and items" Lilia said, as we both left.

"I guess he's just excited that his daughter is a mage, after generations of non mages in the family" I said.

"But don't you think he's exaggerating?" Lilia firmly asked.

"He just cares for you, and you're his only daughter, he has to spoil you " I said.

"Okay, I get it, it's just that I want to play more, you know that I am still in the age to do so" Lilia said.

"How do you feel though as a mage" I asked her.

"It feels great, life has never been this good, even the trees look greener" Lilia said.

I was left quite in shock, isn't this the same quote Art said back then.

"Yeah, you're right" I said in response.

"Seems we are already there, let's go get your old one his lunch and get back quickly, I am a bit hungry" Lilia said.

"Just like usual" I murmured.

"I have heard that, you brat" Lilia said.

And we started a little fight until father saw us, and stopped our *fight·.
