CHAPTER 14

Well, training with Jasmine is hard, physically since I'm still a 7-year-old kid, but it's bearable.

It has to be bearable because some very intense fights are going to happen in the future and If I can't handle a training session, how am I going to handle such intense upcoming battles.

"What are you thinking about, you seem disconnected" Jasmine asked.

"Nothing important" I replied.

"Can you teach me that technique you used previously" Jasmine asked.

"You mean this?" I said using air pressure.

"Yes that technique" Jasmine confirmed.

"How much time do we have" I asked.

"One week at most" Jasmine said.

"I guess I can teach you the basics of it in one week." I said.

"Good, let's start now" Jasmine said.

And the week passed really quick, I was able to kind of teach Jasmine the basics of air pressure, she just needs to work on it.

"Oh yeah she needs to work on it, and you have to work on your beast will, you haven't unlocked transportation yet, you fool" Auro said.

"Okay okay, but can't I take a rest, I mean until now the whole thing we did was train, can't we rest for a bit?" I asked.

"Yeah you can rest knowing that you still cannot beat scythes nor retainers, do you really you have time for rest Tom?" Auro asked.

"You are right, no time for rest" I replied, her words have made feel guilt.

2 years left until Arthur returns, 2 years until adventuring, 2 years to train.

I headed to the bat cave, Auro accompanying me.

"I know, now let's start this fight" I said.

After making some distance between the two of us, a clone of mine initiated the fight.

I have activated my beast will, thunderclap Impulse, and now I'm ready to fight.

"Too slow!" Auro shouted, flying towards me.

I have avoided her attack, by diving, then quickly pivoting in my right foot to face her.

A bolt of lightning cleared the distance between her and me, almost immediately.

When I thought I have landed a solid hit, she transported away.

Very annoying skill indeed.

Fire spells one after the other were sent towards me.

But, with thunderclap Impulse improving my reaction speed, I have avoided most of them.

But a few landed on me, asuran fire wasn't really normal one, so even the healing operation took some time.

"See, too slow!" Auro said.

But this was a good chance for me.

She was in close range. Close enough to fall in my gravity trap.

By multiplying gravity around her all of a sudden, she couldn't move.

My chance.

I have used asuran fire on her too, I payed her back, then I cleared the distance between us again.

"Nice one" Auro said.

And then, leaving me with no time to rest, she struck again, this time she used way hotter fire, small but many fire spells.

Pressing on me even more , I increased the voltage to make my reactions faster.

But then, I have remembered the technique Art used against Lucas.

The vacuum technique I guess, but it takes too much focus to use it.

I have used a clone of mine, to actively try to remove the oxygen particles not directly in front of me but 1m away.

Making me invincible to fire attacks.

"Oh you finally remembered that you had such a technique" Auro said.

Wait, if I could somehow use this same technique against someone, would that make me able to shut them down.

This is op, but why didn't Arthur use this technique in Actual fights.

Wait, it consumes too much Mana, I must finish this up quickly.

I think Auro realized this as well, because she's now running away, she isn't even trying to get in close range.

I unsommend the clone, if I want to finish this up very quick I have to use everything I have so far.

I have used water then fire spells.

Auro avoided both of them, the contact of these two kinds of spells made the Air full of vapor.

I was careful to make sure that Auro falls in the plan I have thought of, right now.

Auro must now be thinking that I am going to use the vapor trick again, to close up the distance, so she's focusing on her defense now.

Wait, the vapor trick?

"Too late!" Auro shouted again.

Even with thunderclap Impulse active, I wouldn't be able to avoid this many attacks.

And I was surrounded .

"Damn this shit hurts!" I said.

"Tom! You're fine, right? Auro asked.

"yeah, I'm fine after you blasting me with more than 50 spells" I said.

"You were winning, and then you made one of the worst blunders I have ever seen." Auro said.

"I was trying to use the water in the air to electrify you" I said.

"Well, you know that your opponents can think too, right?" Auro said.

"Well, yeah but.." I said while Auro interpreted me.

"You must stop underestimating your opponents" Auro said.

"I am not" I said.

"Yes, you are, if you're stronger than those near you must that doesn't have to make you arrogant, or underestimating the others" Auro said.

"I told you I am not" I repeated.

"I have alerted you, today it was only against me, but if something like this happens in battle, the consequences might be bad, terrible" Auro said.

"Okay, I get it" I said, clearly annoyed.

"I am doing this for your service" Auro said.

"Stop talking like my mother" I said.

"I care about you" Auro said.

And with this, she left me alone, just sitting in the batcacave.

"Man, you screwed it up" Tom 2 said.

"I know okay" I said.

"why did you speak to her like that?" Tom 2 asked again .

"I know I made a mistake, I overreacted " I said.

"Then go fix it" Tom 2 said.

"*sigh* ok"
