CHAPTER 7

TOM'S POV

It was my fault, he fell because of me, I know it was a cannon event, but it hurts, to see my parents in such a state

I have never seen my mother so depressed, my father blaming himself, I know that he's still alive, or that's what I hope.

We were currently heading towards Vincent's house, and my father was leading us in total silence, I could tell how he was feeling at that exact moment, anger, sorrow, guilt, and responsibility, but he had to be strong for us. We finally arrived at the Helsteas.

"Hey! Reynolds long time no see, old friend" Vincent said.

“Hey, Vincent, long time indeed, how are you doing my friend? " My father said so silently.

"Pretty good, but you're not the type of person to show up, just to say hi, right? Do you need anything? And is that your kid ?" Vincent said hitting the sore spot. ."Yes, Vincent, that's my kid, and do you mind if we talk about it inside"  My father's face shifted towards a more depressed one as soon as he heard the word kid.

"Oh! Sorry, what was I thinking, get inside," Vincent said.

We proceeded to get inside, the twin horns left as soon as we were in Xyrus.

"Do you require anything, Rey, why did you come here? It's not like I don't want you here, but I have to know the reason, so I can help? Vincent said.

" Vincent, I was heading here so I can find my twin a mentor, they had already awoken, buy on our way some bandits attacked us, and my kid is dead now, I was the one at fault for not taking care of him, not protecting him and…"

My father started crying.

" Rey. Those are accidents, they happen, I know how much he meant to you, but it's not your fault, I know you have tried your best, and what can I do for you" Vincent said.

"A work, Rey needs a job and somewhere to stay, we can't return to our house now, not after loosing Arthur" My mom said.

"Sure you can stay here with my family, as for a job I really need someone to be head of the security team, I know it's hard what you're going through, but now that my family is here to help, Rey" Vincent said.

With this I have been guided to my room by a maid, I have seen Lilia giving me some looks.

I have to start my training regiment, I will fix some objectives to achieve, firstly I need to reach light yellow by the time Arthur returns, I need to get myself a beast will as well, and a bond as well.

I also have to master those radioactive golems to kill those Alcryans soldiers in the beast glades.

I also have to steal some tempus warps, so I can reverse engineer them, I might also help Lilia awaken at an early age, so she can be an important asset in the war.

My training would start tomorrow, I'll just try to get comfortable around here, and I know the exact person to help me with that, it's Lilia.

I headed towards Mom's room.

"Mom, can I play with the little girl I have seen previously" I asked.

"Sure honey, you can go and talk to her" Mom said, sadness obvious in her voice.

I then went to talk to Lilia, she was pretty curious about me too, so it wasn't a big deal getting to talk her.

"Hey there, my name is Tom, what about yours" I asked her.

"I am Lilia Helstea, it's ni..ce to me..et you To.. m" She said.

Pretty stressed, I noticed.

"How about you take me around this house, I'm a bit lost currently "  I said.

"O.. K" She said.

After showing me every bit of the massive place, she finally showed me her secret spot, the place she will be showing to Arthur in the following years.

"Thanks Lilia for helping me around" I said.

"it's a fine" Lilia said.

I have spoke to Lilia, now it's time to get to know to Tabitha, and to get to know her better.

Dinner time has come and all of us are sitting currently sitting around the table.

"Alice, tomorrow I'm going to buy some clothes for Lilia, do you mind joining me, we could also get Tom some new clothes"  Tabitha said.

“Ok” Mom said coldly.

I can tell Tabitha was quite mad at mom's cold reaction, but she knows that she's trying her best, after all my brother died, at least that's what they think.

But, wait a second, why am I going with them all of a sudden, if I recall correctly Arthur hated this kind of stuff.

It can't be that bad. Right?

Next day

I take it back, this thing is the worst, the number of clothes I have tried on so far is crazy, and it keeps getting worse.

After finishing the clothes part, they got me a new haircut, it was similar to what Arthur has got when he came back, making me a cute little baby.

Which was the worst, I was walking with them back home because the shops were close.

The number of people that kept telling me how cute I was looking is ridiculous.

I am a man, not a cute little kid, come on. Why is life this unfair to me.

We were back home, and it's god-damn time to start my training.

I made a clone to stay back on the surface,

as for my old clones that were back home,

I released them and I made new ones underneath the Helsteas House, the training was focused on experimenting on those Radioactive golems, purifying my mana core, I was also trying to get more information on the tempus warps so I can use them later on in the war, and I was trying to find a way to use my information to get some money over here because that will make less dependent on the Helsteas.
