Episode 3

Angeline

The day of my trip has finally arrived. I couldn't wait any longer; these past two days seem to have dragged on. I'm going to take a bus from my city to a neighboring city that has an airport. The trip will take about two and a half hours, and I'll still have to wait a while until my flight leaves, meaning I'll spend the entire day traveling. I'm going to choose a comfortable outfit for this adventure. I select beige pants and a blouse, white sneakers, and an off-white jacket in case I get cold. My parents take me to the bus station, and soon the goodbyes begin. I feel like a part of my heart will stay here. I've never been away from them for so long, and seeing them like this breaks my heart, but we know I'm going in search of a better life for all of us.

I arrive at the airport and still have two hours to wait for my flight. During this time, I decide to go to the bathroom and then see if I can grab something to eat because my stomach is already growling. The hours pass slowly, and each second feels like an eternity. Finally, my time to board arrives. I'm delighted because some flights are delayed, and luckily, mine isn't. I see people rushing between connections to avoid missing their next flights. My bag accidentally falls to the ground, and I bend down to pick it up. I'm completely distracted, checking to make sure I haven't lost any documents or anything else inside the bag while also walking to avoid being late, when suddenly I bump into a mountain of muscles, bringing me back to reality. I had never seen anyone so handsome and with such penetrating eyes. That man I bumped into made me feel an electric current run through my body, something I had never felt before. In less than a few seconds, I snapped out of my trance and returned to the real world.

Man: If I were you, I'd watch where you're going, girl!

Angeline: I'm sorry, sir, but since you were so focused on your path, you could have moved.

As soon as I said that, I turned my back and walked away quickly because the prince turned into a toad very fast.

Benjamim

I was finishing getting ready when my phone rang.

Brenner: Good morning, partner. I don't have good news. Unfortunately, you'll have to go personally to talk to our supplier in the countryside. He's being unreasonable and said he won't produce anymore until we pay him more money.

Benjamim: I can't believe that jerk has the nerve to do that! Since I have no choice, he can wait for me! Thanks, brother.

I immediately call my secretary to arrange my transportation there. I'm even more annoyed to learn that my jet is in maintenance today, and I'll have to take a commercial flight. I ask my housekeeper to pack a small bag with everything I need to spend a day away, and within 20 minutes, I'm on my way.

I go to the airport and head straight to the boarding gate, going directly to first class. The flight was quite peaceful; it gave me time to think about all the punches I'm going to give that jerk. When I disembark, I can see a big commotion of delayed flights, and all that mess makes me impatient. I keep walking distractedly and quickly glance at my watch when suddenly someone bumps into me. I'm not having a good day, and then this happens. Good grief!

When I look up and see that angel, a delicate beauty, a stunning woman, I tell her to look ahead, and she quickly gives me a sharp answer. How dare she? Does she know who she's talking to? What an insolent girl, but I must admit that I felt something different.
