Burst of Power

But then all of a sudden Emelius rushed out and tackled the Centaur, but he didn't get out unscathed the Centaur was enraged and started trampling on him instead. Eveline was screaming and begging it to stop until suddenly a burst of light shone down from the sky and her red hair glowed bursting into flames and her violet eyes shone like the night sky then multiple rays of purple lightning came out from the sky and with an explosive burst the Centaur ended up nothing but ashes. Everyone including Eveline and Emelius were shocked at what just happened but Emelius was also confused about why he attempted to save her even though she's just a pawn. But Emelius's groan in pain broke the silence and Eveline rushed over in tears asking if he's okay. He was about to say he's fine but red and purple tears flowed from her eyes and as they dropped on his wound a miracle happened. He was healed not even a scar was left. Leaving everyone in the area shocked but later on the king and queen came to their senses and rushed everyone into the castle because the attack was still ongoing.

Once they entered the castle Eveline passed out and Emelius was ordered to take her to her room, but his head was still full of confusion about why he was worried about her but as exhaustion set in he put her to bed and went to sleep himself.

When he woke up the next day his mind was clearer and as he recalled the events of the previous day he'd realized that Eveline has become a threat because she awakened her dragon blood at the tender age of five, but usually people awaken around the age of thirteen and even geniuses would awaken around the age of ten. But she could even surpass him because his powers awakened at seven years old and even in his kingdom he was a monster while she awakened at five which is three years younger than him, so he was afraid what would happen when she grows up. But what he was even more scared about is the power she used to heal him because it's neither his Kingdom's power nor hers, but just as he was deep in thought he heard an explosion from Eveline's room.

As he ran there he saw Eveline on her bed with her room burn't to a crisp. She ran and hugged Emelius saying she had a nightmare of him dying, but he reassured her saying he's not going to die anytime soon. Then he and Eveline were summoned to the Parliament room and all the nobles of the empire were gathered there, and they all discussed training Eveline into the ultimate weapon in the war and in the end they sent Emelius out alone because he's from that Kingdom, but he was thankful because it gave him the opportunity to write to his Kingdom about what happened, so he can know what to do next.

Days later he got a reply and the letter told him to kill her at all costs, so he decided to use the baptism that royals of the Firencia Kingdom have to go through at the age of ten as his opportunity which means he now has to wait another five years but he wasn't worried at all because even now his powers are more than enough to take down men more than twice his size. So he bided his time and continued with his act as he manipulated both her thoughts and feelings. During that time five years passed with no problem whatsoever.

Now it's a week before the baptism and the ten year old Eveline confessed to the seventeen year old Emelius that she loved him. But he rejected her and her grief stricken face could clearly be seen throughout the rest of the week. At the moment Eveline and Emelius are on their way to her baptism though the air around them was awkward because of what happened a week ago. Hours later they've finally arrived at the church and the baptism was to be held during the night.

But in the middle of her baptism an oracle descended and said, " The descendant of the fire, lightning and light dragon, your power will burst the heavens you shall be the strongest warrior but always remeber that true love and family are more important".

The priests were shocked and were calling Eveline the chosen one but Emelius was more focused on the part that called her the descendant of the light dragon because as far as he knew the royal family of Firencia are descendants of the Fire and Lightning Dragons. But because of what happened at the temple they ended up staying one more night than they needed to.

As they commenced on their journey back to the castle Emelius already had his plan in motion for killing Princess Eveline because as they reached a narrow road and deserted he activated his powers and struck her an ice attack. She went flying out of the carriage and hit a tree blood gushing out of her like a fountain confused as to why Emelius is doing what he's doing, and then he said the words that shattered her heart into pieces. He said that he never cared about her that everyday he's been dreaming about new ways to torture and kill her and that she was just his pawn, but now she grew too powerful, so it was time for her to be disposed of. In her final attempts to struggle she shot a thunderbolt at him gravely injuring him but in the process she had no energy left to fight back.

He gathered all his energy into his final attack for the final blow. Eveline looked into his eyes and saw no remorse she turned away trembling ready to be killed then all of a sudden a shout from the sky was heard. Evelyn was now crying tears of joy because it was………………
