Chapter 4 Candidates For the Marriage

The Royal family announced that they are searching for a suitable candidate for Princess Lucifina.

Princess Lucifina was known as the most beautiful demon woman in the demon world and as well as loved by every demon citizen.

Every unmarried demon sends their bio and info at the royal palace to get chosen as a candidate. After the thorough investigation eight candidates were chosen.

Those candidates should have had a lot of qualifications in order to marry into the royal family. Also, since it was for the partner suitable for Princess Lucifina, the candidates were chosen strictly by Lucifina's whole family.

They had to have high ranks. Having high ranks means strong physically and mentally. They should be smart as well. They had to be handsome. They shouldn't have any flaws as a demon.

Lucifina found out about it later when the chosen candidates were brought in front of her. She got angry and started throwing tantrums in front of her father again.

She was a bit spoiled. Since her whole family as well as everyone around her loved and cared for her. They always let what she wants and always give her what she wants to have.

Except, they didn't let her go to the outside world.

"Haah... How am I supposed to let another demon boy with her? We raised her so preciously." Says Emperor while sobbing.

"Don't worry, Father. If they ever threaten our sister Lucifina, they will regret being born." Lilim says while patting her father's shoulders.

(Lilim is the older sister of Lucifina)

"At least she won't talk about going to the outside world", says Beleth.

(Beleth is the second older brother of Lucifina)

On the other side, when the final eight candidates were chosen. Lucifina had to meet those candidates.

But, she had to handle it as a princess full of dignity and elegance. So, she went to the chosen candidates and told them.

"Everyone, I truly apologise for the trouble I caused for everyone here. I don't want to get married so soon. I know you all deserve someone better than me so, please don't get hurt even if I reject everyone. I don't want to marry anyone". *pretend to cry*

"It- its alright, your highness". One demon says.

"Please forgive our impudence. We came here without knowing your Highness feelings. So, please.. Don't apologise to us." Another demon says.

They gave up way too easily which made Lucifina really happy but that moment only lasted for a minute.

Everyone wanted to be betrothed with the Princess Lucifina but they were also scared of the royal family. If the royal family knows that they were trying to force her to marry them. The royal family won't let them go easily. So, they just ran away.

While everyone left. There was one demon who still stayed there.

"Wha- why are you staying here?... I guess everyone gave up and left so..." *surprised*

"I am not going to give up, your highness. Since everyone backed down then I am the most suitable candidate remaining. That means, I am chosen by you, your highness. *smiles*

"Wha- WHAT?!!.... *Lucifina screamed loudly*

"I am really grateful but I don't want to get married soon. I still have some things I want to do."

Lucifina tried to convince the demon but...

"It's okay, your highness. We can only get engaged for now." Says while smiling.

"Uh- Ha... Haha.." Lucifina smiles awkwardly.

Lucifina hurriedly ran away from there. She first went to her family and screamed.

"Father, Mother.. Why do you suddenly want me to get married? Don't you know I want to go outside the world?" Screamed loudly.

"Lucifina, stop now. And how many times do we have to tell you that you can't go to the outside world. Is living in the underworld suffocating to you? Why do you want to go there, dear?" Empress Astarte says.

Lucifina turned around and straightly ran to her brother and sister who were sitting on the sofa in that room.

"Brothers, Sister, Father and Mother are sending me away from here in a named called marriage. Please, protect me. I don't want to marry." Pleading to her brother and sister.

"Uh.. I forgot I had some work to do. I will go back first." Says Beleth.

"Brother Beleth". Stares at Beleth with puppy eyes.

Beleth escaped.

"Eldest Brother, please... " Stares at him with puppy eyes.

"Umm... I had a meeting with the General Demon. I have to go now." Beelzebub says.

"Wha- what?.. Eldest brother."

Beelzebub escaped as well. Now remaining is the sister Lilim.

"Sister, I," while Lucifina was about to say something Lilim stood up from the sofa.

"I forgot that I need to give water to my plants. Bye Lucifina." Says lilim.

All her brother and sister escaped successfully.

"Wha- what?.. Sister you don't even like flowers. What do you mean?". Lucifina shouted angrily.

Lucifina turned around.

"FATHER, MOTHER..... EH?" *surprised*

"AHHHHHHH!!!". Lucifina screamed.

Both the Emperor and the Empress disappeared as well.

"She still hasn't given up. Will she really be bound by her marriage then stop talking about wanting to go to the outside world." Says the Emperor.

"I don't know. Her curiosity has no bounds. Once she takes interest in something. She never gives up. She is just like you. Stubborn as hell." Says Empress.

"Does that mean I am the bad influence here?" Says Emperor.

.......... Empress sighed.

"What are we going to do? The meeting between three races is about to happen. We have to go but if Lucifina knows about this she will definitely start to throw tantrums again wanting to follow us." Says Emperor.

"She is already about to reach the age of sixteen. It's time for her to stop being childish. She should act like her age now." Says Empress.

"What? She is still a child. What do you mean act like her age?" Says Emperor.

"You have really spoiled her. Stop taking her sides all the time. Later on she won't be able to take care of herself." Says Empress.
