Next Day

Grant woke up the next day and looked around, wondering where he was. After a couple of minutes of think, he realized he is in his new dorm room's living room.

"What the-oh that's right I'm in my new dorm room. But why am I in the living room? Did I fall asleep here?", Grant looked around and looked down at his lap. "Oh I was reading, I probably fell asleep while reading, silly me".

Grant stood up and stretched. He picked up his book from right next to him and walked to his room. When suddenly Jeff walked out of his room with a towel over his head

"Oh your awake freak, tch" Jeff spit out while glaring at Grant. "Oh shut up asshole, you can, go to hell". Grant gave Jeff the middle finger and walked into his room and closed the door while Jeff growled.

~3 hours later~

After Grant stayed in his room for 3 hours doing work for his job, he walked out of his room and to the kitchen to get something to eat. Grant kept yawning and rubbing his eyes while thinking what to make. After walking to the kitchen Grant had an idea in mind and started to cook. After about 15 minutes Grant heard the door to the dorm open and heard Jeff talking to someone one the phone.

"Yes mom I know. Okay mom, mom - mom - mom! Just listen please!". Jeff groaned and rubbed his face "mom look I love you, but you have to listen sometimes, look I'm not really interested in dating right now. Ya I know college can sometimes help people find love, but I'm not ready for that. Mom you know how I feel about my studies, you know how I feel. Please don't push the issue too much - thanks mom for understanding, I love you bye". After Jeff hung up with his mom, he started making his way to his room until he stopped and smelled the air. "What are you cooking?" Jeff asked Grant, after about 10 minutes Grant answered with "my dad's famous chili, want some?"

After a few seconds Jeff turned back around and started to head for the kitchen. Grant took that as a sign that Jeff did want some and started to take two bowls out from the cabinet and set them on the counter. After a few more minutes the chili was done and Grant started to put the chili in the two bowls and held one out to Jeff.

"here take the bowl", Grant said without looking at Jeff, he grabbed the bowl and then looked at Grant. "um thanks, I always liked your dad's chili". Jeff said after a few seconds. Jeff then grabbed a spoon and starting eating the chili slowly. Jeff closed his eyes and started to remember when he was a kid. "you always liked my dad's chili?", Grant looked at him in surprise. "um ya it was always so good I could never get enough of it", Jeff explained.

after hearing that Grant stared at Jeff with shock in his eyes while Jeff just simply looked away and kept eating the chili. Grant smiled a bit and started to eat his own bowl of chili.
