Chapter 3

Next morning....

Ava dressed up and went to the office. She went early. Because she is new in this position. She started her work.

After some time the CEO came to office. Ava immediately went to if he needs something. She went to the CEO's cabin. She knocked at the door. A voice came from inside "come in".

Ava went inside the cabin. She can't see his face because he is turned to the other side

Ava: Sir I am your new assistant. I came here to see if you need anything.

Ryan: [turned to her]I see. You are my assistant.

Ava: [shocked] ye...yes sir.

Ryan: I need some old files.

Ava: Okay sir

Ava went from there. Ava takes some old files and went to his cabin.

Ava: Sir these are the old files of the company.

Ryan: Okay. [Stared at her] We have a meeting in afternoon.

Ava: Okay sir

Ava came back to her cabin. Ava was thinking

" It will be hard for me. He is the one from last night. I bumped into him. He is very cold. What if he will take revenge. He won't. I didn't do anything intentionally. I am so scared. Likewise, I have to do my work properly. Otherwise, he will scold me."

She started doing her work. In afternoon, she went to the meeting room. She has to give a presentation. At first, she was nervous. Then she started giving presentation confidently. Everyone is impressed by her. In fact Ryan is also impressed.

Ryan: You did really great

Ava: thank you so much sir

Ryan: Be ready for the next meeting. We need the contract.

Ava: Okay sir.

She went to her cabin and started working. In evening, she came back to home. Lily made food for her.

Lily: How was your day?

Ava: Good. The new CEO is cold. Last night I bumped into him.

Lily: What!

Ava: I was afraid that he will scold me. But he didn't. He praised me for my work.

Lily: Then don't worry. It will be fine. Let's eat.

Ava: Yes.

Next day....

Ava went to the office. Ava was not that afraid of Ryan at this point, but she was trying to do her best. She wants to get more money to support Lily.

Ryan came to the office. He called Ava. Ava went to his room. She knocked at the door.

Ryan: come in

Ava: [enters the room]Sir do you need anything?

Ryan: make the presentation for next meeting

Ava: Okay sir

Ryan: You must finish your work in one day. We don't have much time.

Ava: Okay sir.

Ava left the room went to her cabin.

Ava's POV

I have to do my work properly. His behavior is too cold. What if he fires me. He is very heartless.

She started doing her work. She finishes her work in just a few hours. Likewise, she went to his cabin. Furthermore, she knocked at the door.

Ryan: Come in....

Ava: [enters inside the room] Sir I finished this.

Ryan: Okay. Bring some coffee for me

Ava made the coffee and put it on the table. Ava was nervous if the coffee is good or if he shouts at her. She was trembling in fear.

Ryan: [drinks the coffee]It's good

Ava: thank you so much sir

Ryan: You can sit here while I am checking the file.

Ava: okay sir [sits in the chair]

Ryan: So where do you live?

Ava: In area A. It is close to our office.

Ryan: Then come to the office early. We have so much work in this month.

Ava: Okay sir.

In afternoon...

Ryan: We have to go to sign a deal SH company. Let's go

Ava: okay sir.

They sit in the car. Driver starts driving. There is just silence in this whole journey. They reached there and went inside the office.

Mr.Eris: Welcome Mr. Johnson.

Ryan: Hello Mr. Eris.

Mr.Eris: hello Ms.[looks at Ava]

Ryan: She is my assistant.

Ava: Hello

Ryan: Let's start the meeting

Mr. Eris: Yeah sure

They start the meeting. Ava is doing really great but Mr. Eris's gaze is diverting her. He is looking at her with his lustful eyes. Ryan noticed this.

Ryan: [said coldly]Mr. Eris can you concentrate in work and not look like this at my assistant.

Ava: [shocked] It....

Mr. Eris: I'm sorry sir

Ryan: Now let's do the work.

They finished there work. They went outside and sit in the car. Driver starts the car.

Ava: [hesitating] sir

Ryan: what!

Ava: Thank you so much for helping me

Ryan: [stated with no emotions] You don't need to thank me. I didn't do it for you. It will affect our work so I did this.

"He is really so cold. Can't he be more polite." Ava thought in her mind. They reached to the office.

After some time she went home. Lily was waiting for her. They started eat dinner.

Lily: How was your day?
