CH 14

"Hyungieeeee!!!"-the excited tone echoed all over the room as the little baby ran through the room making grabby hands to Jimin.

He giggled reaching near the elder and his hands circled closer to catch the male but suddenly Jimin shifted aside to the right rejecting his incoming hug !!

Koo couldn't manage to halt his steps instantly and his steps continued till they reached the wall of the room where Jimin was leaning seconds ago and crashed his forehead there...

The thud was loud....but appeared thundering to the ears as the silence of the room shattered on that booming bang.

The five pairs of eyes widened including Jimin's....he definitely didn't expect the boy to get hurt this way...the silence continued to prevail until—

"Ah... s-oo pa...pain...C.. Cooky hyu...hyungie"

The vampires witnessed with pitiful gaze how the cheerful smile on the baby instantly turned to a reddish squinted one,the baby's eyes immediately got filled up with oceans of water, wailing, sobbing and hiccuping .

Additionally,his button nose has developed a red dot on the top,which appeared pretty amusing to Jimin...

But before his Cooky hyungie could take part in the messed up situation,a rigourous force pushed off the shortest vampire to the wall, exactly where koo's head had hit a while ago and yanked him back, holding his collar...

Everyone looked at the unexpected dreadful scene with astonishment...

Kim Taehyung has pinned his own twin,Kim Jimin by grabbing his collar, eyes reddened and fangs protruded out .

It's not rare for the Alphas displaying their aggression recklessly but the irony here is that the twins are inseparable since childhood and have always supported each other in every action,be it right or wrong....

Seeing those soulmates against eachother, glaring and brawling is not a view anyone ever got in thousands of years...

"Kim Jimin,you ain't the only Lord here.... I'll look after that later. For now apologise to him,right here, immediately!!

Taehyung has never been so serious to his brothers this way....even Yoongi was shocked to see the youngest Alpha death glaring his loved twin griping his collar with such rigidity that the fabric might tear after sometime....

Jimin scanned his twin's features....eyes glowing like a fire ball,jaws clenched and sharp fangs ready to bite anyone to death..

If vampires had the power to kill someone by glaring, Jimin would have been dead by now for sure...

Jimin's last drop of sanity evaporated.He grabbed the wrists of the twin which were holding his collars and pushed them back , further holding Taehyung's collars now....

"Kim Taehyung,I didn't ask that fucking piece of Sugar to come to me...as per my concern,I shifted myself to ignore his contact.He himself crashed to the wall and is now screaming....Better shut him up or I'll have to force on him."

The loud roaring reply flinched everyone in the room but not Taehyung...

His long thick fingers raised up clutching the collar of his twin again and jerked off the elder...

"And I dare you to try!!!"

Jungkook's shivers increased watching how the two muscular giants were holding each other's shirts , shooting daggers through eyes.... nothing seemed humane now...their animalistic impulse have emerged, overpowering the serenity they carry on....

Inspite of the thick fabric covering the buffed muscles of their body, Koo could clearly see their backs cracking and shifting...

He looked at the other three males who were speechless at the sudden turn of situations... nobody even came to cuddle him and comfort his painful self...

Why would the Baby Highness tolerate such ignorance?

He yelped again...this time loudly,words more shaky than before —

"H...hurts...hyu..hyungieeee."

The two pairs of daggering eyes ultimately chose to detach from the eye battle and look at the tiny figure now sitting on the floor... weeping.

But before they could decide what exactly to do,the eldest Vampire Lord used his vampire speed to scoop up the baby to his embrace and pecked his forehead, rubbing his back..

Koo immediately hid his head on the hard chest and dived into the warmth his panicked soul was getting in the soft secured hold of the elder.

No matter how much he likes his dimple hyungie and teasing Suga hyungie,his inner self always finds himself calling his Cooky in every fearful situation...when he needs protection,when he is scared,when he is hungry,when he is bored.....seems like the elder's sweet gestures have already tangled the baby to cling to him, strengthening the trust lying between them....

Is it a win for Jin or a loss for Kookie,to be overloved by someone at an age he doesn't know what is 'LOVE'?

"Baby, don't worry!! Your Cooky is here now..."he said calming the hiccuping body in his arms...

Namjoon decided to take the lead stand and stepped towards the maknaes when Suga stopped him, indicating him to be quiet...

"I and Jin hyung are taking him to his room and if you two don't take your hands off each other...I am ready to apologise our citizens for ceasing the lives of two lords of the Empire."

Yoongi declared in his usual cold tone, eyes expressionless as always,not even bothering to glare at the twins.

But that was enough to erect the two males as they removed their hold and straightened their posture.

"Well ,I guess you two won't be even missed ."Namjoon added smirking. He knows very well that the ruthless nature of the twin lords always succeeded in making the people feel nothing for them but fear,horror and hatred!!

Perhaps babies have the capability to perform incredible things at the unexpected time....just how he managed to create a rush among those cold hearts,created a complete conflict among the brothers......and just how he fell asleep in Jin's hold while the room was filled with loud utterings....

The lords viewed how the baby has circled his hands around Jin's neck and now snoring cutely....his unconscious soul knows too....that he is safe in Jin's shelter.

"You just turned down the deal suddenly?" Yoongi asked while continuing his shooting practice.He is now at the weaponry area, checking the equipments,a part of his daily job.

"It's fun to see them beg hyung.Let them bargain.Plus,their coyish attitude... enough to reject the proposal."Jimin simply stated while his one eye scanned the target with his rifle and shot in the middle of the circular shooting board.

It's afternoon by now...the unrest stretched in the winds of the palace has temporarily settled with the baby drifting off to sleep.

"And why are you here suddenly?" Yoongi asked.

"Here where?"Jimin's voice let out casually as he took the bullets from a guard and inserted them all in the riffle and started shooting again one after the other.

"Testing riffles and bullets suddenly?"

"Testing? No hyung... I'm just having some fun you know.."Jimin said while shooting for the sixth time.

Yoongi huffed."Stop lying Chim. I know very well that you only arrive here when some thing troubles you."

He handed his riffle to the guard's hands and motioned him to let look after angry and disturbed Jimin.The guard nodded in agreement.

He was just ready to leave he room when the younger again spoke out, keeping his eyes on the target.

"I just noticed, you don't seem lonely anymore.Got a quiet innocent Tangerine."

The elder halted his steps...and looked up at the other male in an endeavour to discover the underlying meaning of those unexpected words in such an unexpected time....When with bullets and combat,Jimin ain't the one to open his mouth during the process—focussing is important.

"Actually my instincts are telling me,the quiet innocent Tangerine is getting into everyone's mind in the Palace lately...not only mine. That's why, someone came into the room at this odd hour,to escape the storm blowing on his mind." saying this he left the room.

Jimin averted his gaze away from the shooting board.

What did Yoongi mean? What escape? And what storm?

Well,some questions get best answers when time gets to reply,to reveal.

A phone call teleported him back to reality. It's Jin hyung's....

"Hello hyu.."

"Where's Choco?"a worried but clearly angered tone cut Jimin off.

"What is Choco Hyung?"

"The sugar cube you are annoyed about.Where is he?"

An unknown unfathomable emotion subtly grew inside Jimin.....so it's the human cub his hyung is asking?

"I don't know hyung....he isn't with me."

"But he isn't in the palace....it's getting dark and if anything...mark my words...even a tiny scratch will cost you a lot Jimin."

Only if those vampires knew,that the scratch Jimin made on baby last night,has actually bled somewhere else,in someone else's soul... leaving  a heartless Jimin to deal with his emotions...it has already cost him a lot by leaving him alone to deal with the uneasiness..."

Jimin couldn't keep himself inside the suffocating room anymore...

Why does the room where he was getting fun a while ago suddenly seems suffocating?

He went towards his personal garden to enjoy some greenary ,also the news of someone's absence blew a heaviness in his peaceful existence.

The elegant sky seemed to have gathered all the darkest shades of clouds it could as the light has disappeared behind the depth of dusk .

The cloudy afternoon hinted the arrival of raindrops at anytime.

The sun is setting as the dark sky still carried an orangish gleam in it.

Jimin placed his barefoot on the grass.... loving how it felt...it gave a childish happiness which firing with the rifles couldn't..

His barefeet stopped as his dark orbs were honoured with the view which held the creature the entire palace was missing...

Giggling joyfully and pouting while running, the little sugar creature was chasing cherrily a blue butterfly....with the baby run, little prey was being chased by a little hunter .

He took a place behind the tree to enjoy some unpermitted company....the boy unaware of the vampire's presence ran all over the garden and suddenly stopped after catching it.

Jimin had hoped,he would crush the creature but koo just let him go after giggling... something too foolish for the elder's brain..

Why would someone catch something only to let him go..?

But then he smirked -

"Innocence with kindness.... interesting tho!!"

If Jungkook knew those wild dark gaze falling on him.

He didn't know what got into him but suddenly he felt a strong desire to make his presence known,to let the kid know whose place he has invaded,that too without permission.Fixing his hands into the pockets,he advanced himself head looking high....

The bunny orbs caught the sight of the devilish figure right in front of his face.His movements stopped.

The smile which was adorned in his little cute face dropped and for a second, Jimin intended to catch the smile and stick it back to it's owner....

With those mesmerizing eyes , koo looked up at the elder,now turning all gloomy.

His innocence couldn't catch the proximity they were sharing but the vampire was all aware,all conscious of the unintentional vicinity between them which was ridiculously drawing him mischievous.

The silence was broken by the elder.

"Is it your habit of entering without the permission of the owner?"

Koo continued to look down....last night's encounter wasn't helping him to interact with the male.

"It will be dark soon....get inside."the dominating tone demanded.

Koo gave a begging look to the elder,then pointed him somewhere where the butterfly was still flying...

Jimin quickly looked there and turned back to the little baby...

"You like collecting butterflies? "

This time the younger immediately shook his head,suggesting strong disapproval.

"Then ....why not?".

"B.... because..they fly."the whisperable mumbling was clearly audible to Jimin.

"You like them flying!?"

Koo nodded...

"Why?"

Koo looked up then tilted his head cutely..

"Dun know.."

Jimin rolled his eyes ....he has never liked illogical reasonless likings but then suddenly the baby dared to ask...in a low voice.

"You like them too?"

"I know how to cut off wings baby.....never adored the thrill of flying...but I must say,I like cutting them."

" But w...why?"

Now, Jimin was caught off-guard...he realised for the first time he has been harbouring illogical likings too...

"I don't know now get in..."

"I know why."

Jimin halted his words hearing the confident tone of the baby —

"...Ca...cause you don't have one!!"the baby looked fearless yet so fragile.

The sharp edge of the sentence crashed on Jimin and cut him somewhere a knife couldn't....a painful pang developed inside as he couldn't figure out what the boy exactly meant....but then he realised.... realised that he is feeling depressed at those words... that means he has feelings...he can still feel ....!!!

There was again a silence before Jimin spoke-

"Now get inside...it might rain."

Koo hopefully asked the elder taking out a blue diamond from his mini pocket.

"So...you lo..lobe me Minnie?"

"Just get inside or else I'll..."

He couldn't finish himself as the boy had moved back in fear,his little grip detached from the diamond,the one which previously used to adorn his dimple hyungie's golden pen but koo broke it.

"My ...my dimple.."

Jimin gave a questionable look. The diamond is a dimple now?

Koo slowly pointed his index finger to the diamond which was lying on the grass,a bit far away and looked at Jimin with a hopeful gaze.

"P..pick .. please"

The audacity of the baby shocked the vampire.

"Lords don't kneel you piece of..."

Well,the sentence would remain unfinished forever as Jimin jumped before completing it when he saw koo suddenly running towards the diamond and then lost balance...

Thankfully,he did rescue the baby from falling...his long veiny hands had wrapped up the weak body in his tight clasp and successfully covered it within his bulky self...

He opened his eyes to check whether he was crying or not but to his utter surprise,the baby was just looking at him...

He finally chose to glance at himself and his eyes widened,plump lips gasped..

He was kneeling in front of the baby now,for the second time in the second encounter...

"What are you doing with him?"

Both the figures shifted their focus on the new addition...

Kim Taehyung was advancing to them now.... holding the fallen diamond of Namjoon, sorry Jungkook's.
