Four days ago

5:50 PM

Jack and his mother stand a few feet apart, facing each other. Their maid observes from a distance with concern as they square off.

"Why am I not allowed to go on the field trip? You did not allow me to go with my peers in Class 3A and you would"Jack demands of his mother, his emotions boiling over.

"You know very well why, so please stop asking foolish questions."

"It is going to be a safe and educational event. The teachers are going to be there."

"My mind is set Jack, you are not going there."

"I want to go talk to people and not stay here all the time, like a bitch who could not even keep her marriage together."

Jack's mother slaps him hard across the face. "Do not speak to me in such a manner! From henceforth you are not allowed to leave this house ever again"

"Talk whatever you like woman, I will leave this house when I want and you can not do anything about it."Jack snarls before storming up to his room and slamming the door shut.

His mother sinks into a chair and begins sobbing uncontrollably. The maid rushes over to comfort her.

Three days ago

6:01 PM

Jack spots an enigmatic figure advancing towards him. "Mother? Mrs. Valentine?"

Upon closer inspection, he realizes that its pace quickens with each stride. He discerns its black horn, claws and zombie-like completion and behaviour . "What is Ankou doing in Phoenix?"

Jack runs towards the Ankou and throws a right kick at it. But, his kick is blocked by its arm. Then he brings his feet down and sprints back home as it chases after him.

In front of the open gate, lying on the ground Jack's unconscious mother bleeds profusely next to her is an Ankou stained with blood upon its talons that resembles her corpse and behind the gate, his house burns brightly. Upon seeing this he recoils in horror.

The Ankou which had been relentlessly pursuing him, finally catches up and attempts to strike him with its claws.

Jack successfully dodges its attack, right before he swiftly delivers an axe kick on the Ankou's head with tremendous force. "Know your place."

In a flash. The ankou which was standing beside Jack's mother, was right in front of Jack with its claws an inch away from Jack's eyes.

Jack delivers a devastating flying kick at the Ankou's jaw and then he performs a side kick on its temple, sending it flying and crashing on the fence.

Then the ankou that Jack has kicked to his house, stands up and runs towards Jack, it tries to cut him with its talons.

He jumps up in the air and drops kicks it, but to his surprise, the Ankou blocks his attack with its left arm. Then it grabs his feet with its right hand and smashes his body on the floor.

Jack tries to run away, but the Ankou uses its claws to stab him through the back.

"Is this how I die?". This thought went through Jack's mind as he flashed back to all of his memories.

"Is that really the extent of your power. Jack l.?"

The ankou's arm is suddenly dispatched from its body and falls onto the floor, as though it had been cut with a blade.

"What's the matter after coming all the way to the phoenix, you are leaving empty handed?". This voice came from where Jack's mother's body was.

Jack knew that was not his mother's voice, but whose voice was it.

The ankou turns around to see Terriza (The person who cut its arm).

Teresa unsheathe her blade "With my blade, I am the ruler of everything. I am the Assure Dragon". Then she zooms toward the ankou and cuts it in half, with an upward slash.

She sheaths her blade and walks to Jack. "My name is Terriza". She stretches her hand down to Jack. "I'm here to save you."

Jack disregards Teresa and forces his body to stand up. Then he strides towards his mother, lifting her up in his arms as he walks pass...

9:48 AM

Aena looks deadeye at a hooded person, who was holding a long blade through Aena's stomach.
