Chapter 4-New Era New Beginning

Last night was nothing much. He introduced her to her room, had dinner and went to bed in a one peaceful night. As the morning starts rolling up, a beam of warm and vibrant light of the sunrise shines upon her, slowly waking her up from her slumber. Her eyes fluttered as they slowly open. The sun is rising up. The morning light fills the room, spilling onto it beautifully and the room is filled with a warm glow. The sunlight shining in through the curtains is illuminating the room beautifully and bathing everything with a soft, warm light. The gentle rays of light create intricate patterns of shadows on the walls and the floor. The light fills the room with a peaceful, blissful feeling. Then Anako enter the room as Luzia is sitting on the bed. He come close to her. The sun highlights the soft, delicate curves in her body, from her legs to her chest. The sun’s rays wash over her beautiful face, bringing out the softness in her delicate eyes and her full, soft lips. The light reveals the true beauty of her body, creating a stunning and gorgeous image. As Anako come closer to Luzia, he can feel his body trembles. He see her eyes as they stare back at him. They shine with such elegance and grace. I want to kiss those lips. I get closer to your face, but he stopped himself just in time. He let out a soft sigh and a smile before talking, “Good morning, Luzia. Sleep well last night? I’ve prepared some breakfast so I’ll be waiting for you in the dining room with the food prepared.” He then walks out of the room in a slight glow of excitement. Luzia, who has just woken up, is confused on why he’s acting like he’s trying to take care of her in a way she thinks that he’s thinking that they’re in a relationship or something. She can take care of herself Just fine… I mean… she’s a mercenary after all, or she thinks she’s about to. She sigh to herself and walk downstairs, heading towards the dining room as Anako is waiting. She glances over and sees him at the dining table, with the food he had just cooked for her. She sigh and then take a seat, now looking at the dish. It’s a handmade garlic pasta with a sprinkle of cheese on top with the side of garlic bread and orange juice. She look back up to him, “You know you don’t have to do that for me, right? I’m fine taking care of myself, y’know…” He noticed and smiles, “I just wanted to do that for you. It’s only my instincts to take care of someone as precious and beautiful as you\~” Luzia raised an eyebrow to his comment, “What did you say? You know, you’re the first one to tell me that so straightforwardly. I’ve never had anyone told me that before…” She sigh and looks back at her food, “And… this looks like tons of work… plus, you don’t know me well enough to do this… but why…?” She asks with her head tilted slightly. He smiles softly, “It’s a man’s job to do so. *bows a little* Plus, I also enjoy being with you even though we had just met only yesterday.” As she heard this, she can’t help but smiles a little. She had a hard time believing she’s actually smiling right now. Like an actual smile. She hadn’t had this in ages… she always been so cold throughout her life. But Anako… this… guy… he managed to get a smile out of her with just some sweet words and a breakfast. He chuckled and shrugged. His facial expression changes into a playful but mischievous one “Well maybe I want to take care of you. Maybe I want to be with you.” He smirked and giggled flirtatiously. He want her to know that he can be more than just a companion. He want her to be his. He stare at her. Her face is so soft. He want to hug her and hold her in his arms. He see her gaze and his eyes slowly drift towards her lips. His heart is pounding so much… Luzia’s eyes twitch as she heard it, “What did you just say? I’m not afraid to slap you, y’know? After all… I’m a mercenary, or soon to be one. I also won’t hesitate much to take action when it’s needed.” His face turned red and he started to tremble slightly. “Wait! I-I’m not flirting okay?! I was just messing with you… you can trust me” His voice began to stutter. His eyes dart around, avoiding eye contact. He felt his chest heat up and his heart starts beating faster and his hand begin to tremble. She sigh and then starts eating her own food. She takes a fork and twirls on the pasta then brings it up for a bite. As the creamy texture of the pasta hits her tastebuds, a warm feeling spreads throughout her body. It’s delicious… it feels familiar… like when her mother used to make… she’s starting tearing up. But why…? We all thought she’s just another heartless mercenary… “This is… delicious… I love it… t-thank you, Anako… it taste… like what my mom used to make for me when I was a little kid… Thank you for this.” She smiles warmly at him, wanting nothing but to show gratitude. He smiles back as warm as the morning sunrise, “It’s okay. I’m already glad that you are enjoying yourself right now, so please eat up. We still have more” Her eyes brightens in excitement, “Really? Thanks.” She chuckles as she seems to now get to enjoy herself and not have to worry about anything. After it felt like a while, she’s finally done. “Haaa… I’m so full. Thanks for the nice meal. I really owe you one for that.” She smirks. He smiles back, but his face then turns a bit more serious for a moment. “Luzia… I know this isn’t that bad of a place as you see right now, but it’s really dangerous here, understand?” Luzia’s smile fades as she tilt her head, “What do you mean by that?” She’s starts to get worried. He put his hands against the table, “This place is full of monsters… all kinds of monsters… lab demons… and including humans as well… currently, a threat is put upon our base, which is this academy. It’s really a bad timing. The threat is by another organization… The Jarori Corp… an organization specializes in labs experiments. Now currently, they are slowly running out of resources, so they threatens us to hands over some of required resources and equipment to continue their experiments.” She spoke out, “What does this mean for us?” He responded, “Due to high demand of resources, we can’t give it away like that, even if they pay us. We’re also currently slowly lacking resources and equipments too. Only choice is to fight back.” He sigh then walk over to his office and walks back out with a file. He puts it in front of Luzia and opens it. In the file shows a handful of plans. He then explains all the details and plans to Luzia. She took some precautions and also thinks of a plan too. The current plan is simple. They attack, we come from the back of the enemy force and traps them. Due to high level of resistance of the opposing force, this will also can cause them a little trouble. She then spoke up again, “Do you think we can win this?” She said a in a hesitant way. He then responded back, “Don’t worry, We’ll win. Have some faith in Frontier Academy.” He said with a smirk on his face. “Now let’s head outside for some fresh air. We also have to have a meet with Hertia too about this.”. Luzia nods and follows him outside. The Sun is bright, shining down, lighting up the sky over the Frontier Academy. Everything is so vibrant, full of colors, and so lively. The scenery is surely breathtaking from inside and afar. She’s continued on walking until she bumps her head into Hertia again, “Ow! …sorry about that… huh? Oh, it’s you again. Sorry for that.” Hertia rubs his head and then look back at her, “Ow… watch where you going, god dammit! Huh…? Oh! You’re the girl from yesterday. I remember you.” He sigh then chuckles a bit before continuing to speak, “I’m sorry for that, it’s my fault for not looking.”. She then also chuckles, “It’s okay… I could said the same thing. Anyway, Anako said he have a meeting with you?” Hertia face then clicks, there’s a meeting he needs to attend. He then turns to Anako, “I almost forgot we have a meeting today. Well, did you gathered everyone yet?”. Anako looks back at him, “Of course, Time’s almost up and we need to hurry. Everyone is waiting for us in the meeting room. And you’re coming too, Luzia.” After he’s done talking, he continues walking, heading to the meeting hall in the main lobby of Frontier Academy main building. The place is situated in the center of the Frontier Academy radius of land. It’s like a very large castle with high level technology. Everything is advanced, architecture is immaculate and the whole environment is relaxing. Those three made their way to the meeting room. As they were closer to the door, it opens automatically, leading them inside. Then they were greeted by two more people. Bailu, Age 25, Captain in Lexure Operation team. The 12th commander of Frontier Academy Ranking Division. Then there’s another man sitting across from her. Esta, Age 31, Captain of the planning team. Ranked 5th in the ranking system. Luzia, Anako, Hertia all came in and sat down. Anako then starts the first word, “Well as you know, our academy is now threatened for war. We can’t let this happen, so we have to do something. We can’t lose against those corrupted Fucks!” Esta quickly spoke back with a calm attitude, “Relax, Anako. There’s still a lot more time to think and plan this whole thing out. Plus, you’re looking at the Captain of many plans right now\~” Esta let out a wide grin, showing dominance over another. “Stop that grin, Esta. You look stupid grinning like that.” Esta looks at her in disbelief, “Hey, mind you, I’m a person too…” Bailu sighed and continued on talking “Anyway, we’re here on the behalf of the threat against us by the Jatori Corp.” Bailu then glances over to Luzia, “And you are…?” Luzia snaps out the bubble, “H-Huh? Oh, I’m Luzia. I’m new here. I got invited by Anako. Guess this meeting is about the upcoming attack?”. Bailu then spoke up, “Correct. Do you know how to fight? Do you have any experience with guns or blade work before?” Asked Bailu. Luzia responded with a nervous laugh, “Ah…haha… I guess? I mean I do watch a lot of those movies before. I think I can take it… no? *sigh* Well… I’m not that experienced, but I do have common knowledge on what to do though? Does that counts?”. Bailu sigh as she put the palm of her hand to her head, “I don’t think that’ll cut it. *Sits straight* Okay, this matter is not to mess around. Anako, you take the role of the frontline. Hertia, you take lead of the formation of the troops. Me and Esta are already have a solid plan” Bailu then reached under her desk and pulls out a handful of documents. “Here, these are the necessary documents and plans worksheet that will put us in an advantage.” Bailu continues to explain to the team on how this is going to played out. It’s no matter to be messed around. Jatori Corp had been such a nuisance to the Frontier Academy. All because of the corporation’s cockiness and pride that now had others involved in their own problems. It’s stupit in the first place for being so cocky. Jatori Corp had been doing this for decades before and more to come in the future… This has to end. One way or another… but… with destroying another corporation comes at a cost, and also a few sets of both challenges and consequences… Jatori Corp… What a joke of a company… this is what you are bringing upon yourself…
