Chapter 5 : Let's become friends

After holidays, At college

Yumi said, "The professor is late."

Lisa responded, "I think he is cleaning dishes and clothes." We all three started to laugh.

Jungkook and Sia were sitting on their corner bench, talking with each other.

The professor walked into the class, but a boy came with him. I think he is a newly transferred student.

Lisa - Does our college still accept transferred students?

Yumi - If he's here, then yes.

Please introduce yourself," the professor said.

Mingyu: "Hi, I'm Mingyu. Nice to meet you all."

Professor: "Please go and sit with Y/n. Y/n, raise your hand."

Before I could raise my hand, Jungkook stood up from his place and came to me with his bag and books.

Y/n POV

Why is he coming towards me? My heart starts beating fast. He came and sat beside me.

Jungkook, what's this behavior? the professor said.

Jungkook: "Actually, sir, I can't see from the corner, so I came here."

jk POV :"I can't allow any boy to sit near her."

Professor: "Mingyu, go and sit with Sia.

Okay, sir.

Throughout the period, Jungkook didn't say anything. They both were looking straight ahead.

Timeskips.

After the lecture finished, Jungkook turned towards me and asked, "How are you?"

I was stunned by his sudden question.

Y/n- "I'm fine, and you?"

Jungkook- "After talking with you, now I'm good."

His tone and harsh voice turned into a soft one.

Jungkook - Y/N, let's become friends?

I was shocked by how he could say that directly. Yumi and Lisa were hearing everything and they were shocked,

but Yumi was literally amazed by Jungkook's soft behavior.

"Will you be my friend, Y/N?" Jungkook asked again.

I totally changed for you, Y/n. Please accept my request; we will just be friends.

I immediately accepted his request. I don't know why or how I accepted, but now I'm feeling something in my heart.

He was smiling like he got his favorite dish.

 He gave me a hug and ran outside of class.

Cute," I mumbled.

Then Yumi and Lisa came and started teasing me.

Yumi said, "Wow, our Y/n got a new friend, huh?"

Lisa added, "He is so handsome, aww my crush."

Yumi playfully hit her head from behind and said, "Don't drool over him, he belongs to someone else.

By talking, they exited the class, but they didn't know that someone was overhearing them.

?? - I will not allow you to take him. He is mine.

She smirked and left the class.

Time skip to the next day.

The results were announced, but our professor wanted to personally deliver the results.

Professor: "So, everyone, I never expected him to score this well on the exams, but he got first rank and that was a miracle. Please give a round of applause to Jeon Jungkook. He secured first rank."

Everyone was shocked, and I was just looking at him.

He kept smiling and looking at me, but I was so happy that he studied hard and got first rank.

"You will not congratulate me?" he said.

Before I could say anything, Lisa said, "Congratulations, handsome."

But he didn't respond to her and kept looking at Y/n.

He extended his hand, and I took it as well. I congratulated him.

After college,

Y/N, he screamed and ran towards me. "What happened, Jungkook?" I asked.

"Actually, tomorrow is my birthday, so all three of you are invited," he said, looking behind me where Yumi and Lisa were standing.

"Okay, handsome, we will be there," Lisa replied.

He smiled and left, and Sia came towards me.

"Are you happy after breaking my friendship with Jungkook, huh?" Sia said.

"What are you saying, Sia? What did I do?" I asked.

"Oh, please. He's not talking to me just because he's sitting with you. He forgot about me.

So that's not y/n problem, Sia. Go and talk to Jungkook," Lisa interjected.

"She is a fucking problem. I hate you, Y/N," Sia said and ran away.
