Chapter : Five

"Kimberly" I called after her but she didn't stop running. She entered a cab and sped off right before me.

I fisted my hands angrily, she had the guts to leave without answering me, well we are going to meet at the office tomorrow

But, she was crying. Is everything alright with her??

I walked to my car and drove home.

"Oh baby, you're back" Hannah said and tried to hug me but I moved back

"Please, let me be" I said and removed my tie before going to the closet.

KIMBERLY

I walked to my room and sat on the bed crying. Mark had the guts to kiss me, I'll deal with him tomorrow that he's going to regret messing with me.

And I am in another trouble, I ran out even when Alex was calling me.

I don't know what he's going to say tomorrow, but whatever he says, I'll just have to bear the consequences.

NEXT MORNING

I woke up and put everything that happened yesterday behind me. I just pray Mark doesn't show up in the office because I will disfigure his face

"Oh, this is the lady in the video right?"

"Yes, she's so cheap"

"Kissing a guy in the restroom, no self respect or dignity"

I stopped walking to hear what they were saying. They were obviously talking about me

"Hey, what did you say" I asked one of the gossipers

"Stop pretending like you don't know, I just hope Boss won't be the next target fit your seduction"

"Hannah would show her the kind of person she is if she dare go close to the Boss" They said and began to laugh

I walked away angrily and entered the elevator that took me to Mark's office.

I pushed the door open and he stood up immediately he saw me.

"Kimberly, I can explain...." He was still talking when I dragged him by the collar and punched his nose.

"Ouch" He groaned and held his nose

"Sc*mbag, how dare you" I yelled, kicking and punching him mercilessly.

The other workers had already gathered round the scene screaming. The security rushed inside and dragged me up.

"Let me go, I need to teach him a lesson" I said, struggling to hit Mark again. His face was already bruised and bleeding but that wasn't enough, I felt like giving him more.

The security dragged me out of the place.

"Where are you taking me to" I asked

"Just Keep quiet and start thinking of how to write your resignation letter" He yelled and I rolled my eyes.

The securities led me inside a large room with a big table and chairs. I think it's a meeting room.

Some men in suits were already seated and glaring at me. Few minutes later, Mark also walked in accompanied by security. His face had been cleaned

Alex and Hannah walked in shortly and all the men stood up. He walked to his seat and sat down before the men took their seats.

"Kimberly" He called and I felt goosebumps on my skin. That was the coldest voice I have ever heard

"Yes boss" I bowed

"Did you read the company policies and rules before you started your job?" He asked and i nodded

"Words!!" He yelled banging the table and I flinched

"Yes sir" I replied

"Good, what happened? " he asked adi explained what happened last night and how Mark posted in the company's group chat.

"Mark, is that true?" Alex asked

"Yeah" he replied

"Why did you do that" he asked but Mark kept quiet

"I just asked a question, why did you do that" Alex asked

"I am sorry Boss" Mark replied and Alex chuckled darkly

"You know I hate that stupid word" Alex said

"Boss, I don't think Mark would just agree to kiss her without her consent" One of the board members said

"Yes, I agree with him, she agreed to go out with him, so what is she expecting, Mark is human and you don't expect him not to be tempted by the way she dressed" Hannah said and I slowly raised my head to look at her.

She smirked evilly at me.

"I think she's right, so she don't have any right to cause chaos in the office during work hours"

"She needs to face the punishment, which is writing her resignation letter and paying for the treatment "

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I am going to lose my job because of this f**LS standing beside me.

"Are you all done?" Alex asked

"Yes boss" they chorused

"Now you all are talking about how violent she was but you forgot that what Mark did was wrong. Even if he had to shoot a video like that, he should have kept it private instead of posting it for everyone to see" Alex said and I was surprised

"I won't blame her for whatever she did, mark deserves more than that because he hurt a human feelings, I am very sure Kim wasn't aware that he shot that video, am I right" he asked and I nodded

"Now I am going to pass my judgment" Alex said and everywhere was silent

"Mark is suspended, your work with this company ends today and you are going to apologize to her publicly. As for you Kim....see me in my office, now" he said and walked out.

"Huh, babe, what's this" Hannah asked

I quickly rushed out following him to his office.

MARK

"I thought you said you would take care of everything" I asked angrily

"Yes I did, why did you let her attack you"Hannah asked and I chuckled

"Really??, How was I supposed to know, I just lost my job Hannah" I yelled

"Keep your voice down, I won't tolerate you talking to me anyhow" she said

"Just send me my balance and make sure I get my Job back" I said and walked out

ALEX

I entered my office and sat on the table waiting for Kimberly. She rushed inside and stood a few meters away from me.

"Come here" I sad pointing at my front

"Huh" he asked and I glared at her. She quickly came closer and I looked at her face.

"Really??" I said trying to control my anger

"I am sorry sir" She said and I raised her head up with my hand. My eyes bored into her blue orbs. They looked familiar, I have seen them before.

The same pain hidden behind them.

"I a supposed to punish you but I can't think of a proper punishment for now, but you're going to clean this office for two weeks, I want all those books on the shelf in the store room to be clean and well arranged" I said and she nodded

"Your Job starts now" I said and Hannah walked inside the room furiously. She froze as she saw us standing so close and my hands on Kimberly's face.

ALEX

"Alex, I heard you had an attack at the office today," Dad asked, sitting on the bed beside me.

"Yes dad, but it wasn't that serious" I replied and dad touched my forehead and smiled

"I wish your mum was here, she would have made your favorite food, the only mistake I made was not learning how to make it. I thought she would be here forever" Dad said

"Dad, don't go through that sad memory again, I would cry" Ariana said walking inside my room

"Sorry dear" Dad apologized and Ariana hugged him.

"So Ari, do you like Jeffrey" Dad asked

"Yes dad, he's cool"

"So the marriage would hold right??"

"Probably" She shrugged and climbed my bed ....

"Hey big bro, I need your phone" Ariana said trying to take my phone but I snatched it from her

"Why??" I asked

"I wanna watch TikTok" She pouted

"You have a phone, so use it " I laughed knowing what she was up to. She could transfer some money to her account.

"No I need yours" she pouted and I gave it to her.

KIMBERLY

I climbed down the bed and wore my flops. I connected my phone to the charger and walked to the kitchen.

I switched on the lights and brought down some pots from the cupboard. I needed to cook something for him or else my mind won't be at ease.

I walked to the fridge and took the bowl of chicken before moving back to my working table.

I was going to prepare Cade's favorite meal. I always give it to him to make him feel better and that's exactly what I would be giving to Alex.

I cooked quietly to avoid making noise so that mum wouldn't wake up. I finished cooking and packed it in a lunch flask.

I walked back to my room and took a scarf before going out with the food.

When I got to the silver mansion the securities wouldn't let me in. I showed them my ID card as proof that I worked in the company .

"Miss, if you are too adamant, I will call him out to see if you really knows you" One of the securities said

"No don't worry, please give this to him" I said giving him the flask

"Okay"

"Please, just tell him a lady brought it" I said and left. I went back home feeling fulfilled and now I can sleep peacefully. The only thing I have to worry about is who paid the rent.

HANNAH

"Honey, I miss you so much" I said and kissed his cheeks

"I miss you too, what's for tonight?" He asked and I smiled knowingly...

"I don't trust this smile" He smirked and I giggled.

I slowly took off the white robe I was wearing and I could see him gulping in excitement

I slowly took off my robe and revealed my red lingerie

"Woah, babe" Alex said slowly

"You like what you see" I asked biting my lips

He jumped down the bed and pulled me by the waist and slammed his lips on mine kissing me hungrily

His phone began to ring and we ignored it at first but it was persistent.

"Excuse me babe, I'm sorry" He said and kissed my neck before going to attend to the phone

"Alright, I am coming" He said and dropped the phone before rushing out.

I groaned and wore my robe back running after him.

We got to the door and he saw a packed food flask. He picked it up and read the note on it

"I hope this makes you feel better" He read and stared at me

"Who's that" I asked

"I don't know, it's anonymous" He replied and sat on the sofa before opening the flask

The sweet aroma filled our nostrils and I saw his eyes lit up.

"My favorite food, chicken porridge, jeez" He cried happily

"Are you going to eat that?, You don't even know who sent it" I asked but he was already digging in and smiling

"This is so good, wanna join me" he asked

"Nope" I replied and walked upstairs angrily.

ARIANA

I woke up and checked my phone, no morning texts from Jeffrey like he used to . I sighed and took my phone while walking inside the bathroom...

He's my boyfriend so I would send what he requested, I won't let him be sad because of me ..

I walked into the bathroom and took pictures of myself

"Babe I trust you, I hope you're happy" I sent along with the photos.

"Woah, you should have sent it as a view once" He sent back

"Oops, I forgot that"

"No problem babe, I would delete them immediately, you look beautiful, my wife" He sent and I smiled.

I dropped my phone and took my bath to get ready for school.

UNKNOWN

"Have she sent the pictures" I asked

"Yeah, I have transferred it to my system and I will send it to you"

"Good job, I'll send the balance by evening" I said

"Sure please, keep me out of this" He pleaded

"You don't have to worry" I replied and left with an evil smirk on my face.

KIMBERLY

The next day was kind of boring, Alex didn't come to work and I was a bit worried. Did he eat the food, or did he throw it away

I was still lost in thoughts when my phone began to ring. I rolled my eyes at the phone. It was a bit old and gave me issues. I hope to change it soon

"Hey babe" I beamed

"Kimberly, we are outside" Melody said

"Outside???, Where?" I asked

"Your office of course, I went to pick Cade from school, so we decided to say Hi" melody said

"Awwwn, I am coming out now'" I said and hung up. Thank God Alex isn't in office today...

I rushed inside the elevator and it took me to the last floor

"Mummy" Cade screamed as soon as he saw me and rushed into my arms

"My baby" I smiled and ruffled his hair

"You work here?" He asked

"Yes, you like it"

"Yes, can I work here when I grow up" he asked and I looked at melody and we burst into laughter

I stayed outside talking with them and laughing.
