The New Beginning After The End.

"Sigh, I'm tired" I walked out of the Cafe where I work as a part timer. "Oh, going already Misa-Chan? Aunt Lisa, my employer also a very kind lady asked in a light yet serious tone."Ya, have an project to work on." "Oh, is that so?" She smiled warmly and then continued. "Be careful on your way home, Misa-Chan." "Ah, I will Aunt Lisa." I smiled back and went out of the Cafe.

I took out my phone and surfed through the internet and chats. Then a game notification came.

"Wha- No way, it came"

I clicked on the notification and a window appeared. It read:-

"Sigh, stupid project. If not for it I could have played it now. After all how many days did I wait for the bonus scenes." I couldn't help but feel distressed. Whatever. Let's just finish the project fast and then play.

I sighed once again and looked up at the sky.

It's dark. Kinda ominous though.

Just when the lights turned green and vehicles started rumbling, I saw a ball bouncing a cross towards the other side of the crossing. And behind it a child but-

"THE TRUCK!!!!"

I didn't know what to do. But my body suddenly leaped forward and.....

..... Ah- it hurts. It hurts like hell. Am I dead? My eyelid feels heavy.

Not being able to move I lay on the dark road after getting hit. I tried to open my eyes slowly but I was struggling. I wanted to see what was happening. But all I could see was the sky and people gathering around. I tilted my head sideways. "Sigh, he's safe. Thank goodness." I thought as I saw the child hugging his mother and crying. I looked up and I saw the dark sky with countless stars. So that's where I'm going, huh?

I remembered my mother saying that when we die we will become stars and remain in the sky.

Ah... I died young. I had so much left to do. But-

Suddenly everything went black. Ah... So this is the end, huh? I thought while sighing inwardly. "Who knows, I was hit by truck sama after all, maybe-"

Suddenly everything went black.......

And that's how I died.......

I was alone. Even, in my very last moment on earth. I WAS ALONE.

The child me was not that happy. It was all because I didn't have any reason to be happy. The abuse of my mother and the repeated comparison with my brothers made me suffer more than anything. There was times when I wanted to end my miserable life. But I was scared. Scared of what will happen. The thought or emotion called scared led me to a conclusion that death is scarier than my miserable life. So, I tried my best. To excel in studies. To ignore every painful moment. To not die and live with what I  have. And I was free. On the first day of my high school life I made up and excuse of staying at a free dorm and left my home. No, I don't think of that dungeon as my home. I just wanted to get out of that place. Bullying of my brothers and abusing of my mother and scolding of my father.... Its all in the past now. Even when I was struggling to earn money on my own by working as a part timer in various places I felt relieved. I ignored the allowance my father sent. I didn't reply when my brothers asked  about me. I never went to celebrate any occasions even when my mother asked me to come. I just didn't want to be trapped in the nightmare I had when I was young.

And now.... It all came to an end.... Sigh, I finally escaped from them. I wonder if they would know that I am dead. They never cared about me anyway....
