Chapter Sixteen

...Current Timeline...

"Are you going somewhere, papa?" Yu-na asks Taehyung as she walks downstairs to see her father all dressed up.

Taehyung gives her a sweet smile but doesn't say anything. He continued to put on his nice shoes. He fixes his luscious black lacks, he was dressed in a simple brown suit but still that made him look so handsome. Yu-na raises her brow and whistlers as she stares at her papa.

"Woah you look like you already got laid" she teases which earns a playfully slap from her papa.

"Shh child, go back to your princess. I have to go meet an old friend of mine. '' Taehyung glares at her and picks up his car key.

"Oohhhh a friend huh? The only friend I am aware of is Jiminnie's uncle and you never wear anything nice for him. So who is it?" Yu-Na jumps onto Taehyung and gives him a teasing look.

"You don't have to lie to your daughter, I can keep it a secret" she demands while playfully messing his done hair.

"Kids nowadays have no boundaries on how to speak to adults. I am your papa so keep your little nose out of this. I met an old friend" Taehyung drop her on the couch which got her pouting.

Taehyung sighs at his daughter. Yu-Na might be younger but this girl talked like a grown-up. She always loved teasing Taehyung about his love life and making jokes about it. "I will be a little late to the Kai party. You go with uncle Yoongi-"

"No! Uncle Yoongi is so boring that he does it sleep. Jiminnie puts on music and he shuts it because it takes a minute of his daydreaming. No papa I go with you" She whines about holding her papa but Taehyung knows it is just a trick for her to tag along to where Taehyung was going.

"Nice try but I am your papa you gotta try harder than that to fool me. You love being with your uncles so go. I will meet you there bye" Taehyung planted a kiss on her cheeks before leaving the house.

The moment he steps out of the house he takes a deep breath. His heart was racing and his cheeks flushing red. Thinking of the person made his heart skip and to know he was going to see him again almost made him pass out. He quickly jumped into his car and headed towards the place he was to meet him.

After 30 minutes the car comes to a stop at the newly built resort and again Taehyung's heart starts beating loudly in his ears. He got out of the car and made his way into the large building. "Good morning sir, how can I help you?" the front lady asked, smiling at Taehyung. The lady was staring at Taehyung because the man was stunning. She had never seen a man who was this handsome.

"Hi, I am here to meet the owner. '' He simply said beware of the look he was receiving from the lady. Can you blame it not the first time?

"One miniature sir" she goes to her computer to type "name?" she asked.

"Jeon Taehyung," he said in a lower tone which got the lady's attention again. "Ah yes. The owner is expecting you on the rooftop. You can go there" she said, pointing towards the lift.

Taehyung thanked her and headed towards the direction. As he got on the lift his hands were already shaking. He constantly takes deep breaths and when he feels coming to stop he feels his legs giving up. "You can do this ' he encouraged himself as he exited the building to the rooftop.

The bright sunlight blinded him the moment he walks out but soon the pretty site of the city got him. He walks further head but he freezes when he sees the man he waited standing just a little facing away from the city. A Huge smile plastered on his face "Hobi Hyung!" he calls the man.

And as if time had stopped the man turns away to meet the eyes of the person he loves. Hoseok's eyes shine in happiness and his smile is brighter than the sun. "Baby," He calls out.

As if it was a sign Taehyung runs towards the older who gladly opens his arm for the younger. "I missed you," Taehyung whispered, tightly gripping onto the man.

"I missed you too, baby. The two years have been the longest without seeing you, '' Hoseok confessed. He left for Japan two years ago with a promise to return quickly but the man took a lot more than he promised.

"It's been so lonely Hyung" Taehyung was on the edge of tears but he held them back. Hoseok brings his face closer to them and glazes at those doe eyes.

He kisses those tearful eyes "this time I promise not to leave you alone. I come to take you away" He smiles seeing how beautiful the younger still was even after all these years.

"I love you," Taehyung said and hoseok held him by the waist "I love you too. A couple more days and you will be with me forever" Hoseok brings Taehyung closer and their lips melt into each other.

For two years Taehyung has been waiting patiently for this day. He took everything to him not even once showing pain and thankful it was gonna come to an end. All his pain is gonna end soon and he can be happy with the person in front of him.

The kiss got deep as Taehyung surrounded his arms on Hoseok's neck and brought him closer and closer. It seems to be going forever as the two-pour their emotion into the kiss. Only when their breathing becomes an issue do they both part away with a heavy chest.

"There are the papers you waited for two years," Hoseok points at the table near him. Taehyung's eyes glitter with excitement.

He runs to them and picks up "Jeon Jungkook" "Jeon Taehyung" and reads the name in the left corner.

Jeon Taehyung. Reading the name something hurts him inside. The name he always wanted, the name that gave him infidelity of belonging to the person he used to love so much was gonna be nothing. Once in his lifetime, this name was everything to him and now it was just meant less.

"Are you okay, love?" Hoseok comes behind Taehyung and hugs him.

"Wondering how much different it has been," Taehyung whispered, rereading the words on the paper

"divorced paper".

"This world is not an easy place to serve Tae. It is important to know what you want and what you don't want. If we come to making a poor choice we come to regret it for a lifetime. I won't force you but this is what you want?" Hoseok asked even if his heart didn't want to hear anything then yes.

"Regret is something I've been living with Hyung. And you know how much pain it brings? Every day felt like a fool and pathetic because I hoped maybe once the person I love might return the feelings. I was weak because of the imagination that I lived in. I dream of a better life with him" Taehyung looks down.

"And when that dream comes to shatter, when my eyes open into darkness. The love that I thought was finally mine, it was just a painted cover to block out the broken reality." Taehyung holds onto Hoseok's hands.

Hoseok feels something in his heart when he remembers the day Taehyung finally came to see the truth behind his husband's sudden grown love for him. Taehyung was finally happy because the man he loved was recognizing his wroth. But that day everything broke inside Taehyung.

"But even then I waited. Not for love. But for him to see the broken me. I waited for him to acknowledge that I had feelings too, That I too was hurt by him. I just wanted him to understand me for once........

.....I waited and kept waiting every single day for goddamn 17 years for him to apologize! for making fun of my love! My patience! And My feelings!. I waited to see a moment for him to maybe show me some r-respect but never did he see the reason why I was holding onto him.'' At the time Taehyung was sobbing but he didn't want to cry.

Hoseok pulled Taehyung closer to him and let the man cry "I waited so long for the love that even I didn't see when it turned to something toxic. And I don't want that. No matter how much pain it has I don't want to come to a point where I hate him. So it is better to let it go. And this was the only thing that was holding us together." Taehyung gripes onto the divorce paper with tears in his eyes but smiles on his lips.

"And these" Hoseok points out the other set of the paper.

"I will let the kids decide that. I know I will be hurting them. I don't want to but for all of us to be okay this has to happen" Taehyung said wiping his tears.

"You've been so brave, love" Hoseok said and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"I felt like I didn't belong. No matter where I was, it felt uncomfortable. Even when I thought I finally found my place to belong I was again thrown out. I know the place I go can finally be mine to belong" Taehyung whispered as Hoseok cupped his face.

"You always had a place to belong to, you just had many stops to come to." Hoseok smiled which got Taehyung to smile too.

"Will we be okay?" Taehyung asks with vaulabity.

"We will be okay!" Hoseok sure and Taehyung's trust.

Maybe the step we take might hurt many, and disappoint others. Maybe some will be happy and cheer us but in the end, it is me who will go through it.

"I need all the arrangements at the view point" Ji-Eun orders the workers who were bust decorating the stage for the party.

The workers nodded as they went back to fixing their mistakes. "And please make sure the decoration is done before the guests arrive" she said, making her way out to find her husband.

"Jungkook!" She called her husband but she got no reply. "Where did he go now?" She was about to yell in stress.

Jungkook was standing a little far from the entrance because he was waiting for someone to walk through that gate. He knows there is still a lot of time before the guest arrives but he just can't wait. He was wearing a gray suit with his hair needed part which showed his undercut making him extremely hot looking. But right now he was so nervous because it was the first time in years that someone special was gonna step into this house again.

"Jungkook '' hearing his name he turned to his wife who was walking towards him with a beautiful smile. Ji-Eun was dressed in a long lace white dress, her hair a little messy from all the running here and there but still she was beautiful.

"What are you doing by the gate?" she asks and Jungkook looks like he is caught stealing. Ji-Eun frowns at Jungkook's reaction. "Everything okay?" she asked again. Jungkook quickly nodded, which got her suspicions

"Yah-yah everything is fine. I am just waiting for the kids to be here" He said and Ji-Eun smiled at his cuteness because Jungkook was looking down.

"You know we still have time before the kids are here. But by that time you should go check on your son. You haven't talked to him since yesterday and his birthday today. "Ji-Eun said, pointing at Kai's room.

Jungkook had almost forgotten about him not talking to his youngest son. Ever since he went to meet Taehyung and come back his mind seems to be distracted. "Yah i go do that" with that Jungkook leaves to see his son.

Ji-Eun frowns at Jungkook's sudden behavior. Usually the first thing Jungkook does upon seeing her is to shower her with kisses and compliments but now Jungkook didn't even bother noticing her. She tries not to think of a reason why and let it go.

"Hey there beautiful" Ji-Eun turns to the voice and her face light with smiles. "Oppa!" she ran towards the man who was holding flowers in his hands.

Jin welcomes his sister in his arms and hugs her tightly. "How are you? I missed you!" Me too, I missed you alot!" Jin said, smiling widely.

"I missed you two! Come on, let go!" Ji-Eun said taking her brother to meet her soon.

The guests started arriving after something and the once quiet place turned into a joyful evening as children were running here and there. There were also many adults here and there with their childerns.

Jungkook was in the middle of talking with other parents while Ji-Eun was busy with her son. "Where is appa?" Jungkook turns when he hears YeonJun's voice. Seeing his son looking around for him makes him smile.

"YeonJun" he calls out and the said boy comes to hug his father. "Hi appa" He greets and Jungkook greets back.

"Where is Yu-Na and your papa?" He asked because he wanted to see taehyung.

"Papa went to meet his friend but he will be here soon. And Yu-Na- '' YeonJun looks for his sister because he knows she was right behind.

"You are so cute" a guy Yu-na age was trying to flirt with her.

"And my app has big muscles" Yu-na said and bumps her shoulder with the guy because he was blocking her way to her appa.

"Appa!" She comes running and lands on Jungkook's arm. "Be Careful you are growing older and there are assholes out there" he said while whispering the asshole part.

"It's okay because I tell them my apps have big muscles and they all run away." Yu-na said, which made all of them laugh.

"Am I late?" they hear the deep voice of Taehyung.

"Papa" Yu-na is by Taehyung's side in a jiff. Jungkook comes to see Taehyung and again he was left speechless because Taehyung was just too beautiful.

"Hi," Taehyung said to Jungkook.

"Hi," he whispered back.
