Chapter 4: Nonsense News

"Phew, I feel relieved after apologizing."

Turns out Cleris is such a sweet Lady. She's just misunderstood. Maybe one day someone out there will understand me-

Before I could finish thinking. I felt my eyes closing. The only thing I felt was the bed's marshmallow texture. As tears escaped my eyes. My heart was trying to heal on its own.

The next day...

"LADY ROSEAL. LADY ROSEAL!!"

A big bang followed by it. A second ago I was still in bed sleeping. And I suddenly ran to the gate to see.

I shouted.

"CLERIS!?"

I was stunned while I was opening the gate. But soon as the gate was wide open. She jumped on me with a terrified face.

I asked.

"Cleris, What's wrong?"

She replied.

"Its Lord Tom."

"What about him?"

I added.

"HES IS HAVING A PARTY AT XXX. FOR THE CELEBRATION OF HIS WEDDING!!

I stand there dumbfounded. He is already married. I felt like my head was spinnig. I almost fainted.

"Lady Roseal, We must go slap him in the face. How could he do this to you. Go change now!!"

I do what I was told. I hurriedly changed my dress into a fancy one.

I said to Cleris.

"Let's hurry."

She nodded.

We arrived at our destination. It was truly Toms wedding celebration. My tears started to run down my face as I saw him with another woman. But Cleris snapped me out of it.

"Lady Roseal don't cry. Don't let Lord Tom see your weakness today. You talk to him about how you're hurt. It's not even a year since your divorce. And be already has another wife. How shameless of him."

I wiped my tears as I heard her. My heart was aching. I can't lie I was jealous.

"Cleris we should go. We are not supposed to be here."

She replied.

"WHAT? WHY? WE CAME BECAUSE OF HIM. AND YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU CHANGED YOUR MIND. WHAT ABOUT THE PLAN TO FACE HIM!!"

Before I could reply. There was suddenly a lady in white dress and said.

"Look at this. Looks like there is an uninvited guest."

She chuckled.

I mumbled.

"Bride?"

"Look everyone my husband's ex is here. How shameless you are. You're not even invited."

I clench my fist. And Cleris was trying to hold her anger.The lady in white said.

"Wait don't tell. Oh dear no please don't ruin this for me"

She hid a smirk to her last words.

She was making a scene. What a sly move.

Tom arrived because of the scene. He looked at me with disgust. My heartache. He used to look at me with such tender eyes. Now those eyes belong to his bride.

I can't breathe. I feel like I'm suffocating.

"Sorry, we were heading our way out."

Suddenly an arm grabbed me.

"Lady Roseal please don't leave yet. I misunderstood you. I thought you were here to ruin my wedding. But I was wrong. Please stay."

Wait something's wrong. Oh! sh*t.

Suddenly my hand slapped her face.

Last thing I knew she was on the ground grabbing her face sobbing.

"hic- Lady how could you hic- I thought you were here to support me."

How did my hands slap her? Her hands moved on their own.

"No wait I didnt-"

Someone slapped me it hurts. No not my face but my heart. It was Tom who raised his hand at me and hit me. I touched my face dumbfounded. And the rest of the guests were shocked.

"GET OUT!"

Tom exclaimed in anger.

Cleris pushed Tom away.

"HEY, DON'T YOU DARE SHOUT AT HER!!"

She turned around to help me.

"Lady-"

Before she could finish. I ran to the woods. Tears burst in my eyes.
