The mark

I woke up in the morning around 6 and felt a sharp pain in the back.it felt like my skin was burning. I removed my shirt and found some kind of strange pattern on the back. It was unbearable, so I went to the living room and got myself some ointment. I applied it to my back, but it didn't help.

It was almost time for aunt Matilda to get up and prepare breakfast for everyone. I quickly scurried to the attic and pretended to be asleep. I heard the loud thumping feet of aunt Matilda coming towards the attic." Get up girl no time to sleep, you got a lot of chores to complete". Aunt Matilda said in a rusty voice"I am coming in a moment "i replied.

I got myself cleaned and rushed straight down to the dining room." What took you long boy"Uncle Johnathan said." I was getting ready, and I am not a boy I'm a girl"I answered." Anyone would think you are a boy because of those nasty rather disgusting clothes you are wearing, I mean no offense but your untidy mud brown hair and that fit you are wearing is totally tomboy". Macy commented." Quit babbling girl my baby is right you are always looking hideous". Aunt Matilda spoke. A sudden snicker filled the whole room. It didn't bother me because I was used to it, but it did hurt a bit.

I went to the kitchen to make my own breakfast as I had no expectations from them to make mine. I started to make bread jam and beside me aunt Matilda was sizzling Bacon. I did not prefer to eat bacon as I was a pure vegetarian, and they wouldn't let me eat even if I wanted to. I ate my jam bread and at the same time Macy was also done with hers, she came to me and purposely pushed me I don't know for what reason"Oops sorry I slipped"Macy said in a sarcastic manner. I was so pissed at that but couldn't react anyway." Macy my baby, i hope you're ready we have to go quickly". Uncle Johnathan said." Gosh can't you just call down dad besides I am not done applying my lip gloss so wait"Macy replied in a rude manner.

I packed my stuff and waited for her to be done. After a century of waiting she was done and half of the time passed away. We went outside and got in the car and were just about to leave when I spotted something it was like fire in the sky but in bird form and all of a sudden my mark started burning. It settled in seconds, but I still couldn't forget the incident.

I reached school and oh boy seeing the crowd I was scared I mean of course there will be a commotion because people have come after their summer vacations. Macy left to be with her girlfriends while I went straight in the main garden. I studied in the Evergreen high school, and it was a nice school, but the best thing was the abandoned library. Something was so intense about that place that it gave the chills.

I was going to go in the hallway when I noticed the mark which I had on my back, the same Mark of a bird was on the top of that library. The library was just behind our school and as there was still time I thought to check it out. I went there as fast as I could and entered it. I know it was a forbidden place, but I couldn't resist it at all. I wanted to know what I got this mark and how the same Mark is the logo of the library, there has to be a connection.

I went deep inside the library and at one end I found a person standing. He was facing his back towards me. I found it strange because this is a prohibited area. I went near him slowly and noticed something. He was making weird noises, and it seemed like he was shivering." Hello, are you okay"I said. I was just about to go near him when all of a sudden he turned his back, and I was horrified. He wasn't human, he looked like a monster. His eyes were huge and full of anger and his hands started to grow in an abnormal way and kept saying strange words hard to understand. He pounced on me, but luckily I was able to escape.

I ran for my dear life not knowing where I was going, and that strange being was right behind me.I don't know how but caught up to me, and he was just about to attack me when a ray of light pushed him miles away, and I noticed there were strange marks on my body and out of nowhere a young boy came at the scene he looked around my age. The monster started waking up, and he attacked us, but the young boy pulled out a sword from his hands and slashed it into bits and the monster just disappeared into thin air.

He looked at and for a second,, and he looked like he was shocked. I was about to thank him when my mark started burning terribly.He removed some kind of talisman from his hand and stuck it on my forehead."Is it some kind of joke"I said.He just stayed quiet and I don't know why but I started feeling dizzy and I was gone in a deep slumber.
