It was... magnificent.
Amy wasn't sure she has ever seen this kind of beauty before... even her imagination could not compare to a quarter of it. If this somehow was a dream she never wanted to wake up.
The first thing Amy noticed when they crossed the gate was that whosoever owned this house-sorry mansion, must surely love nature. Everywhere she looked she saw huge trees and shrubs and bushes and beautiful flowers. They were planted according to colours and texture, she noticed
Amy finally recognized the fleet of cars a few distances away from hers. She saw Ruth bow towards them and entered the first one. Lyndsey gave her a reassuring smile and stepped on the gas to catch up.
As they got closer, Amy couldn't help but notice that they were the only odd one out, all five cars were dark, and it was only there's that had to be bright red, she shook her head in shallow embarrassment.
Lyndsey gave her lap a tight squeeze and another reassuring smile, Amy responded with a pat on her mom's hand and returned her eyes to the road. A small smile creeped up to her face, She was surely going to get along with the owner of this place, they already had one thing in common; Nature.
Not only does the host seem to love nature, he or she surely has a sense of creativity. It baffled Amy how they were able to make the trees, flowers and shrubs arranged in a manner of colour, texture and sizes. It added to the beauty, it must surely be maintained by a professional cause she didn't even sight a single weed. 'It must surely be maintained strictly' She thought.
They had been driving for almost 45 minutes, and at this point all the other cars have gone separate ways leaving only ruth as their escort but it still didn't look like they were close to their destination. Amy was already to question if this was really a one-man mansion or an entire city. She has sighted different buildings, each with their own gate and personal space and the funny thing was that they were still on a straight road, they haven't turned any corner since they started the journey.
Finally, after about another 20 minutes, Amy started to see the outline of what seemed to be the biggest building she has seen yet. "Huge right?" Lyndsey asked when she saw her daughter's expression. "Isn't huge an understatement" Amy responded, excitement written all over her, Lyndsey laughed at her silly daughter.
They came face to face to what seemed like an ancient modern castle. It looked ancient, but there was something peculiar about it that screamed modern. Amy was too engrossed in the structure of the building that she didn't care to observe anything else. "Beautiful..." said Amy
"She surely deserves that name"Lyndsey said also staring at the mansion too. However, the fun was short-lived as they had to make a turn follow their escort so that they were now driving in between the mansion and the garden right-hand side. Amy groaned loudly showing her annoyance, Lyndsey just laughed at her silly daughter's reaction.
They were now driving towards a beautiful butterfly gate. It didn't look like anything was beyond the gate, so Amy didn't get why they were heading towards the gate. Ruth parked her car to the side allowing Lyndsey to reach the gate properly, Ruth came now and went towards the gate, she pressed something on the gate that Amy seemed to have missed cause a hand print sensor suddenly appeared and Amy was sure it wasn't there before. Ruth placed her right hand on it, and it responded with a beep as the gates slowly opened. Amy was a little suspicious about the huge security"Mum-" "it's alright" Lyndsey cut her off with a smile, Amy returned a tight smile.
The gates were opened now, Ruth moved back and bowed slightly "I hope you enjoy your stay" she said and gestured for them to go in. Amy saw her mum take a deep breath, then she stepped on the gas....
