Episode 13

We arrived at Pamela's favorite restaurant, and since I already investigated my wife, I know they also have the dishes she likes.

We entered the place and sat at the table I always choose when I come here, in a discreet and strategic location. I can't be so vulnerable, due to so many enemies I have.

I look at the menu and observe with a sideways glance Pamela helping Ana choose her dish. I'm happy to see my sister getting along so well with my wife, since she has never liked any woman, not even the ones she was just hitting on.

I call the waiter and place the orders. As soon as the waiter walks away, to my surprise, I see my dignified father-in-law and his family entering the restaurant and coming towards us. I deserve it, it just gets better. I look to the side and see Ana getting uncomfortable. I hold her hand under the table to calm her down. As soon as I put my hand on hers, I see her breathing calming down.

In moments, they reached our table.

Sergio: Daughter, what a surprise to see you here... (he says with a smile)

Ana: Funny, when I lived with you, I didn't receive this kind of treatment. (She says sharply)

Sergio: Don't talk like that, my daughter, what will your husband think of me?

Brian: That you were a terrible father. In fact, I don't think, I'm absolutely certain. (I say firmly)

Karine: You are ungrateful, how dare you treat our father like that?

Pamela: I smell a bitch.... (she says laughing)

Ana: You got it right, sister-in-law. (She says confidently)

Paola: How dare you offend my daughter like that…

Pamela: Why? Am I lying by any chance? All of Spain knows your little girl. (She says ironically)

Paola: And you, you little brat, how dare you disrespect your family… (she says, getting upset)

Brian: And how dare you speak to my wife like that? (I say, giving them a look)

Sergio: Y-yes, s-sorry. It wasn't our intention to offend your wife... (he says, giving a look to his wife and daughter)

Brian: Good, don't let it happen again. And I want you to remember, Ana is no longer a Rossi, now she is a Salvatore. If anything happens to her, Spain will be turned upside down until the culprit is found. So don't make me have to kill you. (I say, looking at them seriously) Am I clear?

Sergio: Y-yes.

Brian: Perfect. Now you can go.

They lower their heads and leave.

Ana: You didn't have to…. (I don't let her finish the sentence)

Brian: I had to, you are my wife. They have to respect you. Now you make the rules.

Pamela: That's it, sister-in-law, put those snakes back in the nest. (She says laughing)

Brian: By the way, Pamela. This weekend will be the coronation of Don, help Ana buy a dress worthy of a queen. Because that's what she will become. (I look at her, her face all red)
