**Diamond **

My manager, Mr Kim, put his large steady hand on my shoulder playfully as he motioned me to follow him to his office.

"So, diamond, listen. You are a great bartender and my customers love you but not all of them do." he gave an awkward smile that made me unsteady. It's not my first time getting fired after a month working at a stable job.

I bowed my head to him, "I understand. I'll empty my locker and leave after my shift."

My name is diamond whales. My name and my bank account are so different, it's almost funny. I've lost four jobs already in three months. This one will make five I guess. I am an omega working at a bar. The pay is OK, it's enough to survive for the time being.at least it was

Outside the bar, I crossed the road to buy a plastic bag at the convenience store. I bought it along with a small cup yogurt. I took out my phone. It was almost midnight.

"Guess I'll have to start looking for another job again." The very thought of it was exhausting. I closed my eyes to take in the nights warm air. It was still May. "I don't have money, no boyfriend no other source of cash. Ahh!" shouting felt embarrassing, but it was OK for today.

"Diamond! Get back in here."

I run across the road and got in the bar. The bar seemed busier than I had left it. "What's going on?"

Mark smiled, "Didn't the boss tell you? We have a new bartender. An alpha."

"I don't know anything about that. I was just fired."

"Has disappointment driven you mad?"

"what?" I felt weird

"The boss was just trying to tell you that we're going to be working as three now and not two anymore. You must have misunderstood."

The relief swept over me. I felt so good. Too good. The scent of lime swept over the room. It smelled so refreshing. So addictive. I could feel my face burn up and my tummy tingle. Wait... Pheromones. An alpha's pheromones. I turned around and saw a man walking beside Mr Kim. A man can't be that gorgeous, a nice lean jaw, a high nose and natural blond hair and his eyes. His eyes made me feel like...

" Diamond!" Mr Kim shouted "there you are." he smiled and waved at me.

" Let's go D." Mark pulled at my hand. "He's calling us over."

Mark is an omega like me, but he's different from me. He's marked. Unlike me. He walks amongst alphas without too much hesitation while I have to rely on suppressants.

" Diamond, Mark, this is Rome. Rome Silva. He will be working with us from now on. I love the atmosphere omegas bring to my alpha customers, but that leaves out the omega customers I should be receiving."

The words just came out of my mouth" will our salaries be affected? "

Rome looked at me with an amused expression," Is that what you're worried about? Nothing else? "

His voice was so deep, my knees felt weak. How could a man be so perfect?

" What else would I worry about?"

He chuckled," I look forward to working with you." He reached out his hand towards me. I took it and we shook hands. His grip was firm and warm. His veins where so visible. They moved up from his hand to his arm. He moved closer and bent down close to my ear.

Too close...

" Don't worry about your pay check. It's safe. Unlike other things." he stood up straight and smirked. He let go of my hand and patted my back as he walked away.

"You can blush?" Mark mocked me. He laughed with his cute smiling eyes half closed. " I never thought I would see the day when Diamond lanes got his heart skipping for an alpha."

"I'm not fawning over him." I said calmly with a straight face. " I just didn't use my suppressants today."

I looked over Marks shoulder and met Rome's sharp gaze.
