Chapter 3

Everyone congratulated Duke Rodriguez.

 The beautiful youngest daughter of the Late Duke Rodriguez, who had gone missing in the accident and left many grieving, had finally returned, and everyone was partying and toasting every day.

Andrew immediately requested an attorney to drop the report of Helen Rodriguez's disappearance.

 Although she was allowed to die more than five years after her disappearance under the laws of the kingdom, Duke Rodriguez had waited patiently for Helen without declaring her death.

His glimmer of hope that she might be alive somewhere had finally paid off.

But this joy was short-lived. No matter how much Shelly resembled the lost sister, it would be absurd to conclude a paternity test, and the Duke's Senate argued for a test.

 It wasn't that difficult to do a paternity test. The former Duke Adwin was already dead, but one of his belongings, a diamond locket, had the former Duke’s hair sealed.

It was as if he had foreseen that something like this would happen in the future.

But Andrew was very angry at this. The reason was that he would look pathetic if he couldn't even recognize the face of his only sister.

 It was the first time that the young Duke, perceived to resemble his father's personality, showed such anger. Against him, the resistance of the senate melted away.

Shelly was also relieved by Andrew's treatment. But she had to be prepared just in case because she had to plan to run away immediately if she ever had to do a paternity test.

Shelly roamed around the mansion, determined to take whatever she could.

The Duke’s mansion was admirably luxurious. Marble floors and high ceilings, large chandeliers and famous paintings of the gods. Everything was antique.

Even if she lifted her head a little, everything in all directions was expensive.

When she woke up in the morning, several servants came into the room, washed Shelly's body with warm water, and helped decorate. Dressed in a soft, silky silk dress, Shelly looked in the mirror and looked around herself.

 It was the first time in her life that she had worn such an expensive dress, so she smiled.

‘Shelly Rodriguez.’

It was the moment when she finally had her last name, which she had not had for twenty years.

If you think about it, Shelly Rodriguez was a more attractive name than Helen Rodriguez. A street worker at best, she grew bolder day by day.

Life at the Duke’s mansion was so luxurious that there was hardly any time to be bored. At first, Shelly was awkward giving instructions to the servants, but as time went on, she looked after them as if she were the hostess of the family.

Every day, a sumptuous meal was brought to the table, and in the evenings she always ate with Andrew.

The meal was delightful. Andrew wasn't very talkative, but just looking at his face was a lot of fun. If possible, she thought that it wouldn't be bad to live in the mansion for the rest of her life with that handsome man's face in her eyes.

She hoped there would be no paternity tests...…. Shelly hoped so.

“Pfft.”

Today, after dinner with Andrew, Shelly came back to her room and burst into laughter. She looked down at her ring finger.

There was a jewellery necklace, which Andrew presented to her as a commemoration of their reunion. Where could you find a brother who was so caring and kind? A laugh escaped Shelly's lips.

‘Do you like it?’

‘Oh, my goodness. It is so pretty. Brother!'

'I'm glad you like it.'

'I'm embarrassed to say this, but...…. I love you, brother.

Saying ‘I love you’ was not an empty feeling.

How could she not love the one and only brother who generously gave her everything?

 There was no need to steal other jewels from the mansion. Because this diamond alone would allow her to play and eat for the rest of her life.

“Everything is really easy. He's an innocent count with a handsome face."

Shelly smiled innocently, thinking that everything was in the palm of her hand.
