The Missing Kid

Blossoms POV:

I got up for breakfast, me and Clementine had to practically drag Amethyst out of bed. I went to the mess hall, for some reason breakfast wasn't being served. The staff were lining everyone up, counting them. Getting angry then counting again. 

"What's going on?" I asked a camper concerned.

"There's a missing kid" he says.

A missing kid?!

"Maybe he got fed up of the camp and ran off" Amethyst laughed.

Though I knew this was no laughing matter. What if he was kidnapped?! My throat tightened at the thought of one of the camp counselors kidnapping the kids. I felt calmer when I saw Brick enter the mess hall. WOAH WOAH WOAH WHAT?!

I'm not calmer when I see him. I meant I um was relaxed because it gave me something else to think about. WAIT NO UGH. Just I don't care about him. 

Brick POV:

I walk into the mess hall, they said a kid was missing. The idiot probably ran in the forest and got lost. I look over and see Momoko staring. I look away quickly. W-Why is she looking? I look back and she has her head down blushing. 

Blossoms POV:

I look down at the floor. I probably made him so uncomfortable. The counselor interrupts my thoughts by announcing they found something in the forest. It was the blue and white torn cap of the boy that went missing. It had a large scratch, like from an animal. It had some blood on it. A student threw up at the sight of the blood. I was horrified. That poor kid probably ran into a bear. I hear a laugh from the crowd and see it belongs to Brick. He is so cruel, how could he just laugh?

"Something funny over there" An angry counselor said.

"Yes, the stupidity of the kid to decide he wants to be different and wander into the forest. Only to be eaten by a bear," He laughs, "What idiocy."

I will admit it was pretty stupid to go out into the forest but the death that follows is no laughing matter. The counselor gave Brick chore duties for his disrespect. I snickered at it because he deserved it.

"Since you think its funny you can join him too Ms. Akatsutsumi" the counselor said walking away.

"Ha!" said Amethyst.

I punched her in the arm. 

I headed to the mess hall. We were told to scrub the walls before sweeping and mopping the floors. Brick filled the buckets and I squirted soap into them. It was silence for ten minutes. I looked over to see Brick frustrated, he takes off his shirt so it doesn't get wet and continued scrubbing. I froze, not only did he have incredible abs but he was way hotter shirtless. I looked down at his jeans. If those were off what would it be like? WAIT WHAT NO MOMOKO ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

He is a mean, selfish and um mean boy! Why would you even be interested? I continued scrubbing the walls. Until I felt someone come up behind me. I turn around and I froze again, Brick was right behind me. I don't know why I was so nervous.

"W-What do u want idiot?" I said. 

"Could you hand me another sponge please?" he said holding up his used out sponge.

"Oh...sure." I said handing him a sponge.

I watched him walk away back to the wall. Why was he being so polite? Shouldn't he be mean as usual? I got angry thinking about this. So I turned around and faced him.

"WHY AREN'T YOU SAYING ANYTHING?!" I yelled at him.

He turns to me. His dark red eyes staring into mine.

"What is there to talk about?" he asked.

"I..." I said stumped.

"Don't demand something your not even sure you want." he said turning back to the wall.

I don't know why I did it. I just know what he said made me angry. I splashed my bucket on him. He stopped scrubbing for a few seconds. Then turned to face me. His eyes looked like they were glowing with anger. I had instant regret. He walked up to me and looked down at me. He was about a good  3 inches taller.

"Would you believe if I said it was an accident?" I ask.

"No." he says coldly.

I was in real trouble. Brick went over to his bucket and brung it to me. He poured his all over my head while their was still some food in it.

"HEY!" I shout.

"Oh what its only ok if you do it?" he says smirking.

I pick up a soggy soaped covered sponge and threw it at his handsome- I mean dumb face. He caught it like it was no problem. With one hand while making direct eye contact with me. He threw it at me and I slipped on water and fell. I expected to sprain my ankle on the slide floors, but I look up to see he caught me. He was holding me bowed down right before I fell. I just stared into his dark eyes. He just had a serious look on his face. 

Our faces got closer but just as they got too close he dropped me on the floor.

"Owww!" I say rubbing my head.

Brick just laughed as he went to fill his bucket. Did I just almost kiss him? No! I probably just thought I was going to. Then again why would I be thinking about that? I fill up my bucket and went go back to scrubbing the wall.
