Episode 2

Galen reached back to the city. There are a lot of people in the port, and some boats have already started to leave in different directions. There are some police men but there are more men in suits.

“What a very loud way to search for just one woman.” The search party is five times more than the regular search party that are being dispatch when there were missing people in the past.

Galen picked Amari up carefully and silently brought her to the ambulance that was on stand by.

“Prepare the stretcher” he commanded while delicately placing her inside the ambulance.

The staff there that that Galen is one of the rescues that was set out to look for her, sothey thought that the heads were already informed of her return. The ambulance turned on their siren and rush back to the hospital.

The men in suits that were at the tents discussing for the plans looked back at the ambulance leaving.

“Why is the ambulance leaving? They need to be on standby.”

One of the men ran to the other ambulance that is on standby. “Hey why did the other one leave? You all need to be on standby just in case.”

“What are you talking about? They had to bring her to the hospital immediately.”

“Who? Her?”

“The woman you rushed here. The one that the guy with long hair was carrying.”

“What woman?”

The medical staff looks so confused, “the woman you were looking for. She had white long hair.”

The man’s eyes grew big in shock and ran back to the tent as fast as he can, without even replying to the medic.

“Sir, call Mr. Vince the person in that ambulance was the madam.”

Galen is waiting outside the operation room, when a man bursts into the door. A brunette with medium length hair, his eyes are big with a hazel color. His clothes are disheveled and his face filled with worry as he slams the doors open.

“Were you the one who brought her here?” He asked as soon as he saw Galen.

“Yes I’m Galen, I found her on an island alone while I was sailing.”

The man reached out his hand, “Vince, nice to meet you.”

“Is she alright why is she in the operating room?” Vince followed immediately with this question.

Galen sat down on the bench as he answers, “She had an injury and she bled a lot that she lost consciousness.”

Vince remains standing in-front of him and says, “I’m really grateful for bringing her back. I’m not accusing you of anything but may I know the details on what happened when you found her?”

Galen explained everything that happened.

“I see thank you so much for taking care of her.” Vince expressed his thank with a curtesy bow.

“Mr. Galen may I know if there’s anything you wan’t?”

Galen sighs and pinches the nose bridge between his eye, “I’m sorry I don’t need payment for doing common sense.”

Vince was taken aback by this and said, “I see I’m sorry if I offended you... it’s just that the madam doesn’t like owing people favors so she most likely would like me to pay you no matter the price.”

“No thank you, I’m not in need and I only did it because it’s the right thing to do.”

Vince pulls out a card from his phone case, “alright, but here’s my card. You can request or ask us anything as long as it’s with in our strength.”

As he was handing the card the doctor suddenly appeared. “Sir, she’s alright now there were no fatal wounds so she’ll be fine after recovering.”

“Ok thank you doctor.” After thanking the doctor Vince immediately turned around to hand Galen the card but to his surprise he was no longer there.”

Vince shrugged and pulled out his phone, “Don’t worry she’s okay. I’ll send you the address of the hospital.”

Amari re-gains consciousness. She opens her eyes and the first thing she sees is Vince staring at her holding a folder.

“Great you’re awake, you idiot.”

She glares at him right away, “Bold of you to call your boss an idiot. I might just demote you and transfer you to one of our branches that are in really hot places, or I could transfer you to Victor instead.”

“Wait... no, I really hate hot places and Victor’s head is also considered a really really hot place.” He shivers in fear.

Amari laughs and then suddenly got serious and asks, “hey where is the guy that brought me here?”

Vince grins in a suspicious way and teases her, “oh that guy, he looks cool. But I bet you had a hot time with him alone, in a private place, farrrrr...” and (bang) before he even finishes he got hit by a pillow.

“Heyy!! You hit my eye.”

Amari furrows her brows, “stop making stupid jokes or I’d really transfer you. I’d even build you a house on that specific island and leave you there for the rest of your life.”

“Fine, fine, anyway he left right after your operation was finished. And before you say anything, yes I did offer him whatever he wanted but he refused.”

Vince went ahead and handed her a file, “also here’s a report of with our deals, clients, meetings, etc. Drake handled all of these while you were unconscious. And you just missed Victor he just left.”

She looks at the report and tries to casually ask, “by the way did that guy leave his contact information? Or did he say anything before he left.”

“No he didn’t. But he did explained to me carefully what happened.”

Amari looks at her side and saw a sea shell on top of the table. Vince follows her gaze and says, “ow that. I saw him holding that when I first saw him. I turned around when the doctor came and I turned back he was gone and he left that.”

She reached the shell turned it around and something was written on it. “Stop looking at the ocean in a sad way angel.”

“What? Since when did I look sad...?” She thinks for a moment and remembered that before he came she did stare at the ocean for quite some time.

2 months later

Vince knocks on the door, “knock knock”

“Come in”, Amari answered while typing on her computer.

“Madam, You have a letter from Mr. Alex”

She did not even glance at Vince, she just continued typing, “read it to me”

He carefully opened the letter and began to read, “I know you love arts, here’s a ticket to the Expressive Exhibit. I’ll pick you up at 7pm, don’t be late.”

“Madam didn’t you already have a ticket to this exhibit?”

“Yes, I did. But I lost it during the plane crash. I totally forgot that that was today.” She answered while still typing on her computer.

Vince smiled and said, “well then we should thank Mr. Alex then, for that exhibit has only limited tickets released and it will take me quite a bit of effort to get you a new one.”

That’s when Amari paused leaned at the back of her chair and clasped her hands together. “Are you complaining?”

“Of course not madam, I was just joking. Of course just mentioning your name to the organizers would be enough to ask for another ticket. But at least it saved me 5 minutes so i can do more work here.” Vince immediately said in order to save himself.

She sharpened her eyes as deadly as daggers, “Seams like you’re getting to comfortable with your work. I would gladly give you a better position in the countryside.”

“Understood, i will not give anymore opinions in the future.” Vince said in a very serious and low voice.

“Anyways go get me a dress, and as always make sure its something no one else would wear. But not too extravagant. Also send a reply to Alex for him to pick me up at my condo in The Palace (a hotel/condominium named the palace).”

“Yes madam” Vince replied, placed the letter on her desk and left.
