Monster: The Person I Was
The ice was cutting deep into his bare skin, as he pulled his body through the ice and snow. "Just one change." He mumbled under his low, faint and trembling voice. "I'll re-write it all."
His eyes' vision was blurring in the storm. He was alone. It was getting colder and the ice seemed to deeped in colour below his freezing body. How he got there was not a question to ask but a thought to regret that only held pain.
"They're all bastards. All of them. Each and every one of them." He stopped dragging his body through the snow. He had given up. His limbs couldn't keep up any longer. He felt like hypothermia would be the end of him. His short life meant nothing anymore it was only filled with fake love and so much regret. "I want to relive it all. I want to change it all."
He pushed his body up onto its side using his left arm with the lasts bits of strength he had left, before falling onto his back. His eyes covered by thousands of snowflakes flattered slowly to try and focus of the body towering above him. " who?... "
" Has the world taught you enough Raphael?" a strong husky voice sounded above him.
Ralphael still couldn't see the man's face. He could only see his raggedy dark brown clothing and hood along with the black leather boots the man had put on.
" Help me." He breathed hesitantly . Hopelessly holding onto each he was left with.
" Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Have you heard this before? No? I suppose not." It seemed like the man was talking to himself. He seemed odd and too calm in a blizzard so thick.
"sir..." Raphael spoke in the silence where the man seemed to space off but his words where cut short.
"Not every hero enjoys their glory. Raphael-cane Morgan. You have an interesting name. Do you know what you're second name means? Cane is lucipher as in the devil. Your mother named you well. I suppose"
The man sat next to Raphael, who was slowly losing grasp of his senses and his life. The man looked over Raphael's body and observed the open wound on his stomach.
"lucipher was and is a beautiful angel. Second to God as he was made. That power, as the book says, drove him mad and he turned his back on God and fell to hell." The man coughed with a faint feel of pain.
Raphael was dead.
"If you live a second time. Do tell me if cane was right to question God or not." He took off his coat and covered Raphael's dead body. "You owe me a story little one. Cane of Rebels."
He stood up and disappeared into the blizzard as he walked away, whilst whistling into the night.
Raphael's body was gone.
"Let cane live again." The man's voice was heard over the hidden horizon.
