After they parted ways, Hyoyoung took out her earphones to put them on. Her home was only 200 meters away, but she wanted to hear The M’s music.

Hyoyoung’s house was at the end of the street lined with many apartment buildings; it was well hidden and isolated. There were about five detached houses next to hers. It was odd to see detached houses in the area rather than tall apartment buildings, but Hyoyoung liked it; it was a tidy neighborhood with clean air and a view of the mountain. It was a bit deserted so she found it scary sometimes, especially at night, but it was a pretty safe neighborhood.

Overall, Hyoyoung liked the area, especially the street that led to her home. She lived in a city, but on her street, it almost felt like she was in the countryside. She enjoyed listening to The M’s music while appreciating the calm scenery as she walked home.

Sometimes, she would close her eyes, take a deep breath, open her eyes and pretend that she was the main character in a movie entering a new world. She enjoyed the exciting feeling of it.

She did the same today, and when she opened her eyes this time, she found something different.

“Huh?”

A large vehicle was parked in front of her home. A black van.

“What is that? Why is it here? Did someone come to visit my family?”

Hyoyoung started to walk faster and when she reached her house, she confirmed that the van was indeed parked in front of her home. She looked at it in confusion before entering the house.

She was about to open the door when it burst open from the inside.

“Huh? I think your little sister is here, Hyojun. This is her, right?”

It was a shockingly gorgeous man who opened the door. He grinned at her as he announced her arrival to her older brother Hyojun.

‘Huh? Those lips… look familiar. I’ve seen them before from somewhere… But where?’

She was sure she has seen his lips before. And his voice sounded familiar too.

“Oh, your sister is really pretty. You always talk about your younger sister, Hyojun, now I see why!”

There was another man inside. A second guy, who was also dazzling, came out as well and smiled at her.

‘My brother talks about me to other people? I wonder if he badmouths me to everyone. I wouldn’t be surprised. Why does this guy’s voice also sound so familiar?’

Hyoyoung started to become confused.

“Oh, you’re home.”

Hyojun walked up to her as he dried his wet hair with a towel. He must’ve just showered. Behind him, a third guy was standing nearby.

“Hello, nice to meet you.”

The guy’s eyes looked beautiful as he smiled at her with a polite greeting. When she heard his voice, Hyoyoung suddenly became weak.

“Gyaaa! You… you’re the… The M!”

This must be a dream, this has to be. I must still be sleeping. Yes, this is a dream. I must be really in love with the group, how else would I be able to dream such a detailed dream? So, in my dream, I had a dream about The M, went to school to talk about that same dream, walked home and found The M in my own home! What a dream! Wow. And they’re not wearing their masks anymore. This is so crazy. I must’ve lost my mind. Hyoyoung Ahn, you have gone crazy. Snap out of it! You are still so young! This can’t be!’

“She is daydreaming again.”

Hyojun’s voice made her flinch. She looked up quickly and closed her eyes.

When she opened her eyes again, they were still there.

The four members of The M!

She took a deep breath and blinked again.

They were still there. In front of her!

“You are overreacting,” Hyojun said to her.

“I… I’m not overreacting!”

Hyoyoung stuttered and continued, “This… what… what is happening here… Why…”

She could barely speak. The M members… Their faces, always masked, were now revealed in front of her. She had always dreamt of seeing their faces for such a long time, and here they were. It was her biggest wish to see them, and now, they were standing in front of her in their casual clothes.

‘If Mikyung finds out about this, she is going to faint. Or maybe she won’t even believe it!’

Hyoyoung looked at each of the members one by one and thought quickly. Should she text Mikyung right now? Or should she call her and get her to come over right away?

She was having a hard time trying to decide when Hyojun said to her, “Don’t tell anyone. You can’t.”

Hyoyoung flinched in shock and Hyojun looked at her in annoyance

“You are so easy to read, Hyoyoung. I know exactly what you were thinking just now. You are a terrible liar. I wonder if it’s because you are such a simpleton.”
