Episode 14

"I can pay you double, or even triple if you agree to stay by my side."

Leandro seemed extremely confident in his words. His strong and intimidating gaze could intimidate anyone. But Luka Mancini was not just anyone. He had lived with his paternal family much longer than Elio, of course he was used to those threatening looks.

"Why do you want me by your side? Or rather, for what? To be a simple secretary, or do you intend to turn me into one of your lovers?" Luka confronted him.

Leandro grabbed his sharp chin and made him look into his eyes. He loved those beautiful bright blue eyes. It was as if the immense and beautiful ocean was reflected in them.

"I would love to make you bite the pillow for me, however, I said I wouldn't pressure you and I was going to wait for you to beg me on your own."

Leandro's gaze was marked with complete lust. He had been waiting for the exact moment to rip Luka's clothes off and put him on all fours, on his knees before him, or with his feet on his shoulders, damn it, any position would be damn good.

"He also said he had a long list, so go find any of those people, I'm not going to have sex with you." He spoke firmly, while removing Leandro's hand from his chin.

Although he had been rejected several times, Luka had something that made him want to possess him completely. Maybe it was because of the resistance he put up, but every day he wished more and more to be able to have him.

He was about to say something, however, the honking of a car horn made them turn their heads. It was that old orange truck he had seen at Emanuele's house. The college student leaned out of the window.

"Well, Mr. Leandro, it was a pleasure working with you."

Luka, without waiting for Leandro to say anything, passed by his side, pushing him a little and going to Emanuele.

And there, unable to do anything to stop him, he saw his greatest desire, leaving in another car.

"Thank you for bringing me." Luka said as they walked towards the train station. None of them had said anything since Emanuele picked him up on the road. He didn't want to ask, and Luka didn't want to talk about, what he considered, unnecessary.

"See you tomorrow, take care."

Luka nodded and went to buy his ticket to return to the city. Emanuele watched him go to the benches to wait for the train, he wanted to accompany him, but judging by his expression, he doubted he wanted company at that moment.

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he was. Something more was happening between that man, with an ugly scar on his face, and Luka. It didn't seem as simple as a relationship between boss and employee. However, he considered it wrong to ask him at that moment. Or at any other. He preferred Luka to trust him, and to tell him of his own accord. Although he didn't know if that moment would come.

Luka arrived home, it was late and he went straight to his room. The argument with Leandro had given him a horrible headache.

He lay on his bed, with his face down, and curled up in his sheets, hugging his pillow. He hated feeling so miserable. He had decided to end that working relationship, but it was he who felt down because of it. It was the best, there was no doubt about that. However, he had liked Leandro for a long time (even though he was an idiot), and at that moment he didn't know how to deal with his feelings.

For now, he would let things take their course. He wasn't going to insist and would forget about him in a few months. Maybe he wouldn't have the same life as before, but at least he wouldn't be tied to one-sided feelings.

The next day, Luka woke up early. Since he no longer had a job where he earned well, he had to start over. Emanuele said that a chef from the university was looking for an assistant and thought he could do it. He was very tempted to accept the offer, but he preferred to look for a job on his own. He didn't want to depend on others, let alone Emanuele. It had been enough to use him to get Leandro to leave him alone.

The man in the darkness lit a cigarette and the dim light of the lighter illuminated his dark eyes and a part of his deformed face, similar to a severe burn. In front of him, a middle-aged man trembled in fear and blood dripped from his mouth in torrents.

After leaving his house, he went to different places in the city center. He had thought about returning to the bar, after all, David was a person who appreciated his work and would understand that he wanted to study. However, he would surely see Leandro very often, and that was the last thing he wanted at that moment. That man only brought chaos to his life.

After searching for a long time, and going from one place to another, he decided to enter a small food store. The place was not especially big or elegant, but the service had always seemed very pleasant to him. In addition, the food was very good. Of course, he would never say it out loud, he was afraid that the news would reach Isabella's ears and he would die instantly.

Upon entering, he went directly to the bar to place his order, after paying for it and receiving his ticket, he looked for a free table in the corner, luckily there was one.

—Hello. —A person's voice made him look up from his cell phone. His eyes met beautiful amber eyes. The man in front of him was a complete stranger, but with just one look, he could see that everything about his body was over three zeros.

“Do I know you?” He questioned with a slight tone of annoyance.

“Actually, no, but I do know you,” he said, picking up one of his dyed locks and putting it behind his left ear. He adjusted the chair and sat in front of Luka. Luka didn't remember ever seeing him. He was definitely a person who was hard to ignore or forget. His big amber eyes were perfect in his delicate and angelic face. His hair was dyed a beautiful dark purple, it was so long that it reached his waist, and, even though he used chemicals to change its color, it looked beautifully cared for.

“I would never forget someone like you, and I doubt you're confusing the person,” he said. The person in front of him smiled at him, of course, he wasn't confusing the person.

—I'm not an idiot, although you do look a lot like your brothers. —He said, adjusting his beautiful hair to one side.

—Okay, who are you? —Luka looked around, looking for a way to escape from there if things got difficult with that stranger, however, he realized that he was completely surrounded.

—Relax, I'm not a bad person. —Luka furrowed his eyebrows, although he had a cute face, he couldn't trust him.

—How do you know me and how did you find me?

—David told me about you and showed me a picture of you, I was passing by and I saw you, that's the story. —Upon hearing the name of his former boss, he was able to relax a little.

—What do you want? —Luka leaned against the back of the chair and left the space free for the waitress to place his food in front of him.

—I recently moved and I need someone to cook for me. In the conversation I had with David, he said you were a good cook, but you had a job. —He grabbed one of the fries that were in Luka's food shamelessly—. Leave the job you have, if you want and accept my offer, I can pay you double for your services.

For Luka, who was unemployed and would enter university in a few days, it seemed like a really tempting proposition. However, his brain was telling him that it was a very bad idea to accept that job. Although the person in front of him told him that he was coming from David, he was still reluctant to believe him completely.

—What is your name? —Luka raised an eyebrow.

—My name is Geovanny D'Amato, it's a pleasure to meet you, Luka Mancini. —Geovanny smiled and extended his hand towards him. Luka, although hesitant, returned the greeting.

...----------------...

The man in the darkness lit a cigarette and the weak light from the lighter illuminated his dark eyes and a part of his face deformed, like a bad burn. In front of him, a middle-aged man trembled with fear and blood was running from his mouth in streams.

"What did he say?" He asked. His strong and terrifying voice made the bleeding man wet his pants.

"We are missing some people on the list, sir, and they are in Italy." The armed man in front of him responded with utmost respect.

Although they couldn't see it, he nodded--. Let's go to Italy then. Let's find those bitches, and continue with our business, however, we have to... --His words were suddenly interrupted. The bronze door creaked open loudly.

The boy, barely nine or ten years old, came running in, with a terrified look and accelerated breathing. His small and thin legs could barely support him, if he hadn't been holding onto the door handle, he would surely be on the floor, on his knees. With a trembling voice and a highly worried expression, he said: --Father, the military has surrounded the house.
