Prologue

"Tegan! Get your sorry *** out of bed, it's almost time to leave!" My best friend screamed at me from downstairs and I groaned as I rolled out of bed to go get dressed for classes.

I took my precious time taking a shower and washing my hair just to annoy my best friend. It was nowhere near the time to leave, she just likes waking me up a full hour and half before my alarm sounded, no idea why.

I got out to pick up my dress for the day, a simple black dress paired with black boots.I tied my hair in a messy bun grabbed my backpack and went outside to meet my best friend Sierra glaring daggers at me from the dinning table.

I nervously laughed,"Come on, don't give me that look, I'm ready aren't I?" Her glare intensified as she stood up and grabbed her backpack hanging on the side of the chair she was sitting on,"Yeah, a full hour and half after I called you?!" She shrieked and as if on cue, the alarm on my phone went off, and I grinned and showed her the time on my phone that had seen better days,"See, it's now 7 o'clock, we still have enough time for you to take the bus and for me to walk there in time for the lecture to start."

At me saying that she frowned as she moved to follow me as I walked out of the apartment. She quickly rushed to catch up to me and asked,"Are you sure you don't want to take the bus with me, I could pay for you?" I smiled and looked at her,"it's enough that you're letting me stay with you I can't depend on you to pay for my transportation as well, besides its good exercise to walk every morning."

She gave me one last look as she placed a comforting hand on my shoulder before rushing to catch the bus that had already arrived. I looked at the bus as it drove away and sighed. I readjusted my backpack on my bag and started my somewhat long trek to school, I've been doing this since I gained a scholarship to Kingswood College 2 years ago. I was ecstatic till I realize this golden opportunity wasn't too golden because the school was filled with kids from rich homes who felt they were entitled to everything in the school, that includes the people who they feel are too low for their standards. So apparently I became a slave to most of them.

Enough about my pity party, I have to rush to school, or else I'm going to be late. I started sprinting my way to school and when I finally got there luckily there was a bigger car driving in, so I sneaked in beside it.

Sierra was waiting for me in front of the main door, and she looked me up and down as I approached her, and said,"Let's go to class, we'll be late."

What's up with her. I shrugged and followed after her to our first class, Biology.

The lecturer of this class was quite strict and didn't distinguish between the rich and poor students here, he treated everyone fairly, meaning he punished everyone equally if you were late, I'd experienced a couple time because of my encounters at the gate.

We quickly rushed to class and took our seats just in time for the lecturer to walk into the room. We were halfway through with the class when one of the Queen B's in the school walked into the class. I rolled my eyes, Yukimura Kamado the only child of an Asian billionaire. I didn't hate her in particular because she was one of the quieter bullies,, and she's never bullied me before, but it's her clique that does all the bullying and she doesn't bother to stop them, so automatically she's associated with them.

She walked past the lecturer as if he didn't even exist, walked to sit in one of the seats at the back and immediately took out her phone to use. The lecturer ignored her because he had reached an important part of the lesson before she decided to interrupt.

The rest of the day went by almost the same and today almost all the bullies seemed to not see me...I guess I'm lucky today. After school, Sierra approached me, I smiled,"Oh, hey, you ready to go home?" She shook her head,"I have something to show you." I pointed at myself,"Me?" She nodded and didn't wait for my reply and dragged me to a yellow mustang in an isolated part of the parking lot and told me to get in. I gave her a confused look as I got in, and she followed in after me. She drove put of the school and started taking a path I didn't even know existed,"I didn't know you had a car Sierra?" She didn't respond and I started becoming nervous. Not only that, but she drove to a cliff where another mustang was waiting, this one red. Sierra got out and ordered for me to do the same. I did and stood by the car as she approached a man that got down from the red mustang.

What's she doing he looks dangerous, he held out a bag towards her, and she took it before gesturing for me to come towards them. I hesitated but when the man pulled a gun out of his side, I sprinted...obviously away from them. A shot rang in the air and I heard a scream, it took some time for me to realize the scream came from me.

I face planted and after sometime rough hands pulled me up from the ground and dragged me back in the direction of the cars, I struggled to open my eyes and I met the eyes of Sierra. She stared back at me with blank eyes. Tears fell out of my eyes,"W-Why?" I whispered, and she smirked for the fist time that day,"Why? Let me tell you, since you're about to die anyway... I never liked you Tegan, I just got close to you to use you...well I can't use you now that you're dying, but I'll just find another naive girl, you were nothing to me."

The tears freely spilled out of my eyes as I looked at her, two other people came to stand beside her and I gasped as blood spilled out of my mouth. Simon and Tiffany, also my supposed friends. Simon shot me,"H-how, w-why..." The three of them laughed as I struggled to breathe, Sierra came closer and whispered in my ear,"We're human traffickers Tegan, we were planning on selling you, but since you're dying, we'll let you die in peace."

And she pushed me off the cliff towards the vast ocean below. *SPLASH* was the last sound I heard before I plunged into the cold, dark,deep depths of the sea. Pushed by the one person I trusted most in thus world. Guess I'm not going to be part of it anymore...if I was given a wish, I'd wish to be given the option to exact revenge on everyone that ever hurt me especially those who killed me.

Darkness soon enveloped me in its cold embrace.
