Chapter 2- First day on the job

While leaving the company An li text her friend Ling ling, "meet me at Shu Cafe".

"Ok I'll be there in 15 minutes"

An li text back to Ling ling saying, "okay", already at the cafe An li sat down at the spot that they always sit because they enjoy the view. While waiting for her order, she got her favorite jasmine oolong tea.

Looking out the window watching citizens walking and crossing the streets and side walk she decided to go on her phone browsing on the internet wanting to know more about President Chen wu.

What she found was that his father Wei Bai had him inherit the company at the age of 20 because his father retired, As time went by their company expand to three other country one at London, one at Japan and the other one at Paris.

Even though when he took over the company his father still goes there to check on things to see if everything went well.

She also found out that his father had been taking over since he was young, his grandfather his father dad wanted him to learn the family business.

An li, found a lot about President Chen and feels like she has known the him already, that's when she heard the door open and saw Ling ling coming towards her,

Ling ling "What are you doing An li"?

"Oh I'm browsing through the internet learning about the company and the President that i had a interview with earlier".

"So did you got the job An li" ling ling ask, "yes I did" hearing that Ling ling couldn't help but be so happy for her friend because knowing it she need the job.

Ling ling ask An li "So what is your job"

"I am going to be his secretary" when ling ling heard that she had her eye open wide.

Her friend just look at her and nod her head saying "well at least you got a job in a big company that so well known and you can pay off your debts".

The debts that Ling ling is talking about is the one when she went to college she couldn't pay it off.

"So how does the president look like"

"Well he is handsome with black hair, brown hazel eyes and he is tall maybe 6'3 with a straight pointed nose".

"But the way he look at me when i had the interview he was cold, and had an annoying look that it makes me nervous and want to run out of the office".

They spend a few more hour in the Cafe chatting until it was getting late so both said goodbye to each other went on their own way home.

When An li got back home she went to her room to change then to the kitchen to make something simple for dinner.

After dinner she almost forgot to call her parents about her interview today so she grab her cellphone to call her parents about the good news.

Her mom picked up saying "hello" hi mom I got good news, for you and father "what's the good news about but your father isn't home from work yet but will come back soon".

Well I got the job at this one "company" hearing that her mom got excited her mom ask An li ,what's your job going to be, "the president secretary of Wei company".

On the other side her mom froze just like ling ling did when she found out. Not hearing anything from her mom she call out to her but no answer meanwhile her dad came back and saw his wife froze in shock.

He ask his wife if she was ok she look at him nodding her head that she is while An li is still on the phone hearing her parents she called out again her father took the phone from his wife and answer for her instead.

"Hello An li", her dad said to her "hi father" what's wrong with your mother she is in shock "sigh", just like ling ling well I told her about the job interview that i went today I got the job and being the president secretary at Wei company before hearing her father ask those questions like her mother did she told her father all at once so she doesn't have to answer.

Waiting for her father to say something he too went into shock, not hearing anything An li call out to her parents say "mom, dad are you guys OK what's wrong why are you guys not answering me" sighing "......coming back from the shock her mom took the phone and said we are

We are ok!!!

"Just that hearing what you told us was shocking that's all".

Thinking to herself well of course both of them will go into shock because she got into the company she too was shock and will be a secretary she's going to be a lot busy now and will she didn't think she was going to in and have a position where she's going to be close to the president.

An li look at the clock on her side table and it was 9pm so she told her mom that she gonna head to bed soon her mom and dad that came back from the shock told her " congratulations on getting the job " and they told her to make sure she call them so they know that her first day went good.

An li "Dont worry I'll make sure to call you guys " goodnight mom and dad love you guys, "love you too dear have a goodnight sleep both her parents say.

Her and her parents hung up the phone An li went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and charge her phone came back to put on her headphones on press play on her phone listening to music before going to sleep she remember to turn on the alarm set on 6am then slip into slumber.

Next morning An li woke up to her alarm got up went to her closet grab her clothes went to to the bathroom and took her clothes off got into the shower she took a 30 minute shower.

When she was done she went to brush her teeth, dry her hair, then comb her long black hair, and got dress in a white blouse with black pants she also put on her black flats she wants to be comfortable.

An li heard a "ding" on her phone and she went to her phone to check who message her it was her friend Ling ling telling to do her best on her first day at work.

An li sent her a message saying "I will and thanks" she press send drop her phone braid her hair, An li got up from the bed to her check herself in the mirror to make sure everything look ok took her phone again to call for a taxi.

She grabbed everything from her bed, her phone, house key and her purse then left her room went to the kitchen to make scramble eggs and put two bread on the toaster with a cup of tea.

Finishing her breakfast An li likes to listen to music while cleaning up even if it's to clean up her apartment or do the dishes.

Arriving at the company early An li went to check in the front desk looking at the woman she was the same one when she came in for her interview.

The woman "good morning".

Smiling at the woman An li reply "good morning I'm here for my first day at work today ".

"I'll let the president know that you are here give me a minute "

"ok and thank you "
