*4 MONTHS LATER*

Audrey let out a tired sigh as she wiped away a thin drop of sweat that rolled down her face. The clock showed 2:00 PM, and in just a couple of hours, she would finally be finished with her shift for today.

However, exhaustion and dizziness had taken their toll on her, making it difficult to stand steady. More than two weeks had passed since the night with Ken. She managed to find a job at a well- known cafe, and although the boss paid a decent wage, her monthly salary of $2,000 still wasn't enough to cover the debt she owe to Ken. In fact, even if she combined her six years' worth of salary, it Wouldn't make a dent.

Clutching a few dollar tips in her hands, she attempted to count the money, but a massive wave of dizziness washed over her, making it nearly impossible to see the figures clearly.

Audrey couldn't fight it anymore, she fell backwards, hitting her back on the stool behind her. She blacked out but not without hearing a loud scream from beside her.

Are they referring to me??

“Ma'am!!”

“Take her to the hospital immediately!”

“Nothing must happen to her!”

When Audrey regained consciousness, she found herself in the confines of a hospital ward that surpassed all expectations of beauty and size. Her gaze wandered around the room until it locked onto a familiar figure seated comfortably on a couch at the far end. His beautiful eyes fixated upon her, causing her heart to skip a beat.

It was Ken.

What was he doing here? Did he send her to the hospital?

Struggling to speak, she managed to whisper, "Wa...ter."

Ken pursed his lips and rose from his seat, making his way towards a nearby table where a jug of water and two glasses sat. Swiftly, he poured a glass and handed it to her, which she eagerly consumed in a single sip.

As her thirst quenched, a wave of relief washed over her, allowing her to regain her composure.

"What happened to me?" Audrey asked, finally able to articulate her thoughts.

Ken was a straightforward person so he replied, "The doctor has confirmed that you're pregnant."

Shock coursed through her veins, and instinctively, her hand moved to her stomach, lightly caressing it. She wasn't that surprised though, in fact she was expecting this outcome.

"But...I fainted and.."

Ken's voice hardened as he interrupted, "You fainted because you overexerted yourself, which is not advisable for a pregnant woman!"

Before Audrey could say a thing to defend herself, she was covered by a large coat and the smell of tobacco filled her nose. Her body tilted and ken carried her horizontally.

Struggling, Audrey pulled at the cuff of Kent's suit. "Mr. Ken, what are you doing? Put me down!"

She flushed bright red.

Ken held her in his arms and looked at her lightly, warning her in a low voice, "Don't move!"

How could this woman be so light, wasn't she pregnant?

Ken frowned, his gaze firmly fixed on her face. She was really too thin and needed to be well-fed. He withdrew his gaze and carried Audrey Out.

Audrey was stunned by him, biting her lip and shrinking in his arms, her heart in chaos.

Audrey opened her mouth to say something, but she heard Kent instructing someone behind him: "Move Miss Audrey's things to the mansion, be careful!"

Confusion filled her eyes as she contemplated his sudden decision. “Wait... What??” Audrey made a bold move by hitting his knee hard with her legs making him let go of her.

Unexpectedly, her balance was poor and she swayed a little. Kent accurately caught her in his arms and frowned: "Be careful, are you a frog?"

For a moment, Audrey was at a loss for words and couldn't refute him.

His hand on her waist was hot, and his deep eyes were full of worry, however, Audrey knew that a man like him was incapable of worrying for an insignificant person like her. His worries stemmed from the fact that she was carrying his child.

"I don't feel at ease with you staying at that old small house, it's dangerous." His stern gaze swept over the her, daring her to disagree with him.

Audrey didn't need to ask how he knew where she lived when he was a powerful person who could easily carry out an investigation to find out where she lived.

Audrey also realized that he was afraid that the owner of the house she rented would bully her if she wasn't able to pay the rent, so he wanted to take her to his mansion?

In the end, she didn't refuse Kent's request and followed him back to his home.

Kent lightly supported her, followed by a group of bodyguards carrying large and small packages.

In the car, Audrey leaned back in her seat to rest. She was exhausted and as she relaxed, she felt her head become dizzy and heavy. In a daze, she heard a man's low, hoarse voice, like a broken violin string, intoxicating.

"You'll stay with me until you give birth"

Audrey opened her eyes and stare at him for a moment before closing her eyes once again. However, she couldn't help but feel calm, and the soft and comfortable environment in the car was perfect for falling asleep.

With gentle music lulling her, she leaned back in her seat and gradually drifted off. Kent looked at the woman's fair neck and the peaceful sleeping expression on her face, and couldn't help but smile even more.

Before long, the car slowly stopped in front of an elegant and exquisite European-style villa. The iron gate opened, and the driver drove the car inside.

Audrey was still sound asleep.

Kent gently picked her up and instructed the housekeeper standing by. "Ask John to make some porridge and prepare some small dishes. Miss Audrey will want to eat when she wakes up."

The housekeeper was so excited that tears streamed down his face. The young master had actually brought a young lady back home? Has the impossible finally happened?

He hurriedly responded and rushed off to find John.

When Audrey woke up, it was already nighttime. She looked around, feeling a bit confused. Is this...Sir Kent's house? She remembered that she seemed to have been brought to sir Kent's mansion with sir kent. After thinking for a moment, she got up and prepared to leave the room to see what was going on. However, she found that her clothes were not just right...

At this moment, she was wearing a pure cotton pajama, soft and close-fitting.

When she woke up, she felt comfortable and dry, without any previous soreness and discomfort. Someone helped her change her clothes!

Audrey's face changed, and she walked outside barefoot. Before she could step out of the door, Kent's tall figure blocked her way. He stared at her bare feet for a moment, then bent down and picked Audrey up horizontally. Audrey exclaimed and grabbed his clothes, afraid of falling off.

Kent steadily carried her back to the bed, picked up a thin blanket and covered her, saying calmly, "Why are you in such a hurry to run out barefoot?, You could've slipped and fallen due to your negligence"

Audrey remembered that she was a mother now, and she couldn't act like before. She nervously touched her nose and then remembered her clothes. She couldn't help but look at kent with trepidation and hesitantly asked, "My clothes.."

She was alert and uneasy, curling up like a mole. Did he do something to her while she was asleep?
