The new student

"Welcome to Phoenix High School," said one of the boys who was admitting me to the school. He introduced himself as Beckham. The other boy was named Godfrey.

They showed me around and even directed me to my class. The school was big and beautiful. I had never been to a school that was with human beings.

I had only attended a magical school before. Human beings were quite different from the magical people since they were less aggressive than them.

"My name is Leon," said a boy who was carrying his lunch and sat next to me, "You look new here. This must a big school, isn't it?"

"Yes it is," I replied. He took a bite of his apple and said, "Oh, my bad! I have just remembered that I have forgotten to ask your name and where you come from."

"No need to apologize. I should have been the one to introduce myself. I am known as Dion Burman, and I am from um...um... Edinburgh High School."

I was tensed since I almost revealed myself. "Oh, that is very nice to hear. I have heard that the school is one of the best in sports. Our school has once tried beating it and has never succeeded. Why did you transfer from there?"

He was going to far which was making me sick. "I have somewhere to go," I said as stood up, "by the way, it has been meeting you have a nice day."

I then walked away. The boy was full of questions. But I did not care much about him.

Later that day, I had a call from Mrs. Michelson. She was asking about the going. I told her that I had not yet discovered anything. She claimed that I had to act quickly before anything happens.

This made me feel stressed up since I did not know what to do. I had not even made an effort to make friends except from Beckham and Godfrey the ones who had admitted me.

So I got an idea and ask Beckham to help assemble school magazines. I later discovered that there were secret places in the school.

However, I had a doubt about it. According to Beckham, the tunnel was stated to contain dangerous elements. So it meant that nobody had dared to go there.

I could not take any risk, but I had to quench my curiosity. I was curious of knowing these elements that Beckham had told me about. However, I needed assistance from someone.

Who was going to help me? This question kept whirling in my disturbed mind. I had not made a lot of friends, and I was not sure if Beckham was willing to help me uncover the mystery.

"Beckham can you help in discovery the mystery of the tunnel?" I asked. He looked quite disturbed. He said that he was afraid because of the rumors he had heard about it.

He finally agreed after coaxing him. I felt happy and I was ready to unveil the mystery of the tunnel.
